@KitsuneNight yeah maybe I should too as my backlog is mega huge, but in reality I worry I will miss things, and often I do anything. I'm quite OCD like that.
@sixrings that's fair enough, we are all entitled to our opinions. Regarding goose game, I did think the price was pretty high, but I knew it would be popular and had to try it, so I went for it at the new game discount, and glad I did. Because to some it might not be that wild or doing anything good, but honestly I found it refreshing and amusing to just mess about and have fun as an idiot haha.
@Rob3008 it looks like a bit of brain disengagement to me, which sometimes if all you're after if you want a bit of light hearted fun. Personally I think it will get panned by critics but enjoyed by many, including me.
@sixrings so by the same token then, let's say that one game is 4 hours long but the last two hours are the best, but another is four hours long and is your game of the year. Both games are £9.99. You're gonna tell me what, game number 2 is bang on the money price wise? But if game number 2 didn't exist and you only had game number 1 game number 1 would seem better value. Your logic is your own, fair enough, I just find it ridiculous, because you should really be measuring an experience based on your enjoyment and take away from it rather than over dissecting everything based on exact price and play through time. Also, a game could take one person 4 hours but another 8 hours. I like to take my time and not rush. Some people just rush through everything. See my point?
@TheUltimateFaker thanks man. I finally got to try it a couple of days back and it's really good! The stretching has taught me new things too, and I'm aching less than I thought I would because of it.
@Dirty0814 @Rafie yes it's compulsive. Doing it blind like I do with most games. Sure I will miss things, but going for to dot across the map with the pro HUD is just pure freedom..
@TheUltimateFaker thanks man! Yeah I'll get there. I'm looking after my dad with dementia right now too so I'm time poor, but it'll be even more worth it when I get to it!
@Rafie I'm just starting BotW myself now. Given how much time I have, I'll probably be finishing up when BotW 2 comes around. The game is so huge, and I'm quite OCD so I'm uncovering everything I possibly can as I go. It's a masterpiece.
@Spudtendo is the game decent single player? I don't really game online or multiplayer much. I have enjoyed previous games in the series, just not sure if I want to dive in at full price if the single player is lacking.
Man, I'm dying to play this game. I own it, but I'm disabled and haven't been able to be well enough to yet. I get cramping seizures that effect my tongue when I'm tired, stressed or over exert, and I'm in a bad patch right now. One day soon I will see what all the fuss is about! (I have to start exercising slowly to get myself back into shape).
@BenAV can't answer the question, but seriously I agree with you. Prior to owning the Switch I hadn't tried gyro assisted aiming, but now I have experienced it on Zelda and even moreso in the Revelations games, I wish they would do them for every game. It's genuinely faster and easier to aim up decent headshots.
I'm hoping Craptivision in their money grabbing ways will release a complete version of the game next year, when all these tracks have been added, as I can't afford the game at the moment and it would be nice to get the game eventually and not have to download loads of updates.
@RupeeClock yeah I've had that problem myself for a long time. As a PS3 and PS4 owner my backlog spans two generations! Plus all the retro stuff I've missed. Seriously, as far as Switch is concerned I have around 170 games due to some of the insane sales that I've picked up from...my 200GB card just got filled up the other day. But as you said, I have them and will get around to them. The library for the Switch is outstanding and the only genre I feel there could and should have better games for is the racing genre.
@RupeeClock holy cow I wish I had as much disposable income as you! That lot should keep you going till March 🙂
There are so many good games on the Switch. I love the console more than any other I've ever had, genuinely, and I enjoy gaming so much on it, but there is a small part of me that's sad knowing I will never get to play probably 90% of the games coming out for it now. When you throw in the indies, I've never known a console accumulate such a big library so quickly.
@sixrings I've seen reviews mention that they don't know whether there will be the joy con drift issue or not. I guess as people don't know for definite what causes it, they can't warn that it will happen. If you've seen reviews that don't mention it as a possibility, that's really bad practice.
@sketchturner I can't remember who said it but I've seen it mentioned a few times, that people will pay to go see a film which is a couple of hours long, but won't pay the same price for a game. Not sure why, as a game is yours to own and play over and over. Some experiences are better distilled into something short, sharp and pure. Agreed that shorter can be better!
@Multi tell me about it. I've missed a lot of the big releases due to cash, but grabbed so many indies on sale. I have over 160 Switch games now, and the flood isn't stopping. What a time to be a gamer. We truly are spoilt for choice on Switch. Nintendo is back on top.
@GrantM3 how come? All I was thinking, was this is probably a fair bit cheaper, so would be less of an investment to try this type of game out. Though if it's like a top-down Musou type gameplay I will love it. I did enjoy Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance back on the PS2/Gamecube.
Personally having missed 2 entirely, I'd love a Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 remaster. Hell, if Nintendo want to run out of stock and make people go insane, a Sunshine, Galaxy 1 and 2 trilogy would probably sell 50 million (though it will never happen).
While this review is well written, as others have said, there are a couple of bits of incorrect info. Firstly, the puzzle numbers advertised by Jupiter clearly state there are more puzzles in this release. Every Switch Picross game has increased the puzzle count.
Also, this is not the first Picross crossover. I own Kemono Friends Picross and while I haven't played it yet (it's in the backlog), it is in fact the first Picross crossover. This is the second.
Oh no they didn't! Seriously though, I'm hoping it's just a matter of time before the message gets passed across the pond, because this stance would mean law firms in Europe will be all over this.
Well thought out idea. I have an Orzly grip for handheld mode that adds bumpers on the back. It makes the Switch a lot more comfortable when using the shoulder buttons.
Playing N64 games for a big project but also dusted off the Wii and was playing some Kororinpa yesterday. Can't get enough of marble rolling type games!
@1UP_MARIO oh I'm thoroughly enjoying myself. I did play it a bit as a child. Think I'm up to 40 odd stars now. Some of the levels are quite challenging. Aiming for a full set of 120. I can see why after all this time it's still adored by so many, and to think that it came out in 1996! Truly years ahead of it's time.
I'm playing Mario 64 at the moment actually. Got an old CRT TV for free to get the console to look good. I must say the controls aren't quite as perfect as I remember. Still almost perfect, but it's clear Nintendo have since refined it somewhat. Probably because I've recently played Odyssey.
@GrailUK it's a good position to be in isn't it? I have purchased well over 100 Switch games, many on sal. I've had to stop myself but even now I buy a game from time to time. My wish list is ridiculous. I'm beginning to thank Sony for keeping theirs with a cap of 100 games....
I don't often buy games full price ever anymore (the last one was the Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze) and average out at two a year, but Cadence of Hyrule was absolutely one of those immediate purchases. It's amazing.
@Aslanmagic Haha I know! Someone at Nintendo R&D sneezed ten minutes ago. Nintendo shares drop 17.3%. It's sad really, but that's business, and there's a reason these investors make so much damn money (the speed they react).
@Erchitu I'm currently looking into it, as I only started playing it again recently and I have a HDTV. I would like to use an upscaler or something. I would rather play actual games on actual hardware than emulation, but it does look dog rough, and I don't have room for a separate CRR (we already have two televisions and a computer monitor in our living room).
@Grumblevolcano hehe, I was only making a crude joke. I totally understand the issues with file size. It was the same with the Playstation Vita, arguably moreso with the proprietary storage media. I have a 200GB memory card and even that is filling up worryingly quickly.

Re: Rhythm Game Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party! Receives A Surprise Western Release On Switch
@BenAV How many songs do you get for the price? I like my rhythm games, but for that price I would hope there is a boatload of songs.

@BulbasaurusRex not seen either of those. Not sure either how you can expect a "critical darling" is possible from the Sonic IP.

Re: Exclusive: Check Out These Never-Before-Seen New Super Lucky's Tale Levels On Switch
@SmileMan64 yes! I had been waiting too long for the platformer genre to make a comeback and finally it has.
I didn't realise they were rebuilding the game from the ground up. Definitely getting this at some point.

Good review, but I must say I disagree with how Spyro handles. I never found it stiff. I always found it perfectly accurate and precise.

How close to Diablo is it, gameplay-wise? I've never played this or Diablo, and thinking of picking this up.
