@UglyCasanova They've given lower than 9 to multiple official Nintendo games although as a whole they tend to give more positive reviews than negative ones. Nintendo games tend to land in the 7-10 range here (especially for the big releases like Dread)

@Dpishere I'd just play it now since it's gonna be a long time before it's finished. It's gonna be 7 Chapters long and we're only on Chapter 2. The wait between Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 was 3 years and even if Toby and his team managed to trim the wait time down, it probably won't be done until the late 2020s/early 2030s

@Tobiaku It grew on me after listening to it a few times, although I wouldn't say it's my favorite song in Chapter 2. That would go to either "A Cyber's World" or "Attack of the Killer Queen"

@Skid If they do make a new ranked mode, I hope it's not just another "take the thing to the enemy base" mode since we already have two of those.

All ranked modes should be available instead of rotation. Speaking of rotation, I actually wouldn't mind a map selection in lobbies where players can vote between 4 maps (3 + random) similar to how MK8D does with its lobbies

@PBNightmare Maybe the crab is like Rainmaker where you can only use it for a minute or so before it self-destructs. I can't imagine the crab being a standard weapon or sub.

The only other thing I can think of is that it's a special kinda like the Inkjet or Baller

The cover art reminds me of FIFA 21's cover art where everybody made fun of it for just plastering a bunch of images together

The crab ball gives me Bakugan vibes with the way it opens and rolls up into a ball. I wonder if it's a stage thing or a new Ranked mode where you have to get the crab ball to the other side kinda thing

@zander_dale Splatoon 1 and 2 both have story modes. Splatoon 2 also got a second single-player campaign called Octo Expansion (which is DLC but it's worth it IMO)

Pretty hyped to finally play the original Paper Mario (when it releases on NSO) for the first time.

@Ewaldus Could be Astral Chain costumes. Bayo dancing as Lappy while giant monsters fight in the background sounds amazing

@Aurumonado To be fair, the bear statue isn't what Grizz really looks like. It just has a voice box in it that he uses to communicate with others so we don't really know what Grizz truly looks like

@CupidStunt It could be because it's an M-rated game and they're not allowed to show stuff like violence or nudity or something. Kinda like how the Mii costumes in Smash that are from M-rated games are just called by their name and not their franchise.

N64 and Genesis is an odd pairing (Nintendo having a Sega console as part of their online service that's been exclusively Nintendo stuff feels weird to me) but I'll bite if the price is right. Hopefully, we see stuff like the Mario Party games and Smash 64 in the future.

It's weird that it's called "expansion pass" though instead of something like NSO Pro. Probably me being too optimistic but maybe the expansion is a 1 time buy? I'm most likely wrong on this because Nintendo likes money but I'm sure it would probably make people more interested if that was the case.

@Stubborn_Monkey First mainline 3D Kirby game. There's been bits and pieces of Kirby in 3D but they've mostly been spin-offs (Air Ride, Blowout Blast)

For a second, I thought the guys in the Youtube thumbnail were Ryu and Heihachi (Heihachi's been watching too much DBZ)

@Scollurio Well they're all pre-existing characters from older entries/series and not new characters so I'm pretty sure it was done for fanservice/throwbacks rather than creating diversity for the sake of diversity

I've seen a fair amount of both. Now Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light on the other hand....

My guess is that there probably won't be any new stuff and will just be the game with the DLC bundled in. Don't know who they can add to the game from P3/P4 unless they bring back some of the characters that died in P3. They could add characters from P1/P2/P5 but they'd have to come up with some crazy excuse as to why they're there.

@XenoShaun Arc Sys is probably too busy focusing on Guilty Gear Strive DLC to make a fully new Persona fighting game

Hopefully, SMT V does well enough for Atlus to consider localizing SMT 1, 2, and IF and either putting them on our NSO or putting them in a collection. The Switch is already looking to join the PS2 and 3DS as the go-to consoles for SMT (not counting PC emulators) so hopefully, this happens (and maybe some other SMT HD ports happen in the future like DDS or the Raidou games)

@InkIdols Because that would require Atlus to localize them and at that point, they'd probably charge for them as separate from NSO like how FE1 was separate despite being free on Japan's NSO

I'm just waiting for the Japanese NSO to get Earthbound while we Westerners get some obscure licensed game

A bit of an odd memory but I remember buying my copy of Wind Waker in 2016 and there was an EB Games receipt from 2008 in it

@VoidofLight Setup wise it kinda looks like Nocturne but leaning more towards Law. You got an apocalypse set in Tokyo, a teen getting thrown into the mix and fusing with something, and a girl watching the apocalypse happen. I hope that's where the similarities end and this isn't just Law Nocturne

Was this really a surprise? Pretty much all the Atlus special editions for SMT and Persona cost 3 times the original price. Look at P4G's special edition.

I think I'll stick to the standard copy. This looks cool but given how many games I'm interested in are coming in the later half of this year, imma pass. Also, this special edition reminds me of vanilla P5's special edition since that one also came with a bag, soundtrack, steelbook, and art book (SMT fans, pls don't kill me for comparing something SMT to Persona)

Now we just need the Zero Escape games.
