Crash Bandicoot Tweet Leaves Fans Pondering Over A Potential 25th Anniversary Surprise

Warning: don't get your hopes up too high. You will be disappointed.

Historically, this sort of thing happened before past Crash announcements in the last few years. They've also been hinting at a new game ever since Crash 4 dropped. After this, my guess is we'll see it at PlayStation's event on Thursday.

Not sure what this new Crash-related announcement is, but unless one of those three Activision studios were secretly working on an unknown project, I personally doubt there will be a new Crash game or even a remake of an older title. I hope I'm wrong though🤞.

@CharlieGirl Boycott culture deflects blame from corporations and onto consumers. It's also highly hypocritical to promote an ActiBliz boycott on a website named after a company that supports Chinese forced child labour.

And even if it did actually work, you're still shaming people for enjoying a game or series. Not a good look.

I wish Crash games like Crash 4 could continue to be made for a long time. Alas, that doesn't seem to be in the cards, at least for now.

My guess is, at best, another Activision-backed studio might be developing a Crash Bash remake. If not, it's probably minor stuff that isn't worth getting all that excited over.

@Brink though I wonder what they could even do if they made a new Crash, feels like Crash 4 done it all already lol especially with the ungodly amount of extras in Crash 4, still haven't 100% it yet

So Crash has got a new game, a remade trilogy and a remade racing game this far and Banjo gets... nothing.

@Noid While that's true, the majority of people still support Activision is some way or form even after the whole scandal that was made public. Some are oblivious or don't care, unfortunately.

And since Activision has such a wide reach with their best selling game franchises, it's unknown whether or not this will deeply affect them even after all this dies down a bit, they will pretend it didn't happen or say things for legal reasons.

It's almost like how most people support Disney even though they have ties to China who have done some awful things as of late. But Disney decides to not say anything because China pays them really well.

Frankly I think we should all be happy for Crash turning 25 remember what happened at Activision largely occured on Blizzards end so lets not lump Toys for Bob or any of their other studios in

DLC for crash 4 would be great.

I love the latest crash. I bought it on pc and switch. It looks incredible on pc . I've seen crazy frame rates on pc.. The switch version gives me trouble with depth perception or maybe my 60 year old eyes are the problem. Anyway, bring on more crash

This legit means nothing. Toys For Bob no longer exists, as it was dissolved into the workforce for CoD. Activision isn't going to make another Crash game, and definitely not another Spyro one.

I realize it's probably too much to ask for, but I would pay any amount for Crash in Smash.

If only Crash was still with Sony and Naughty Dog.

It's coming, when YouTubers and influencers get gifts, a game always came, it was the egg, the dices, the puzzle, and now the piñata.

@link12684 I am a huge fan of the Crash Bandicoot series, but I won't buy any more Crash games for a long time, maybe only in 2023 I can come back to the series.

The problem is that Activision Blizzard has way more than sexual harassment, they are also a company known for mistreating their workers and firing them for no reason, and also destroying studios and franchises, abusing players with microtransactions, and the China controversy, they brag how inclusive and progressive they are, until it's China's money on the line.

@Noid I will be honest, if the problem with Activision Blizzard was only the sexual harassment, I would be mad at them, but still keep buying a few of their games once in a while.

But the problem with them goes way beyond, they already proved to be a scumbag company before this was revealed.

N-Sane Trilogy was fine as it was. I wouldn't be that interested in a remake. If that was going to happen. Crash 4 was just ok. The Crash racing game on the Switch was great.

Toys for bob has game developer conference lately and ended with an add saying they were hiring for both cod and crash (and they dropped multiple crash hints that had nothing to do with the presentation in the presentation)

Plus influencers have started to receive packages, which has happened every time a new game is about to be announced from Spyro reignited up to crash four.

First, the dragon egg, then the fuzzy dice for ctr, the puzzle for crash 4 and now the wumpa piñata.

@Arawn93 you do realise these studios are large enough to work on multiple games at once right?
Like toys for bob was developing Spyro while also making the nsane trilogy switch port… amongst other things.

I’m kinda annoyed how people jumped from toys for bob working on cod to well, crash is dead then.

They can do both, ya know.

Crash Bash makes sense. Idk if it sold well back in the day thou.. It wasnt really that good of a game but Id love to have it remade

The PlayStation Showcase is soon, so if any new game or remake is to be announced, it has to happen then.

@russell-marlow Same time it feels daunting to think I'd have to collect everything all over again still got tons of stuff locked on ctr on my switch but they can sod off if they think I'm spending a penny on MT's I mostly stick with og kart and stuff anyway out of nostalgia

If it comes to pc won't be steam tho, Crash 4 was blizzard store and has online drm.

been playing crash bash with a friend recently and he quite likes it especially the pinball style mode, friends I've shown in the past have always liked it too

Not all the mini games in crash bash were good but it's one of those games that I'd love to see remade if they can revise some of the mechanics that flawed the original

Crash was the first game Ive ever played, so its always gonna be special to me, but even I gotta admit that Crash Bash was the weakest entry out of all old school Crash games. It definetly wasnt bad, but not amazing either. I still 100% completed it like 10 times, though. I agree with you- they would have to revise it and add more minigames. Id still buy it even if they didint, but I know it would get crushed by reviews.
Haha, sorry, the pinball one was really frustrating to me. It was the one that made me rage at the other AIs. I felt like they ganged up on me hardcore and deflected balls on me only. The N.Gin one made me really hate that character, lol.

@Doktor-Mandrake They could always just change the rewards for those karts like being able to get them without spending wumpa coins and having to unlock them like some of the other karts in the single player mode. I mean, enough time has passed that it could happen.
