So like I was saying, I'm glad that they're giving Zelda's oft-shunned assistant some much-deserved limelight.

@RobotReptile Somebody's probably said it at some point before me, I thought of it in a vacuum. It's a half-joke, and yet, I don't see anywhere to go but 'Up' if they don't wanna use Pro (differentiate from Sony?) or New (probably not a good idea given how much the Switch has changed their hardware schema).

@rjejr It'd be wild if it were called the "Switch Up" (as in 'Up'grade). If that happened, I imagine that there's be a ton of custom docks themed to the Pixar movie of the same name.

Would be nice to have 4K to go along with this new TV. And yeah, they have merged their portable/console segments and already made a Lite — Pro is pretty much inevitable (for the first such business cycle) to mirror the previous handheld business of theirs.

Well holy cow, we really are about to get Ninja Gaiden and Hayabusa in Smash, thanks to the reception of DMCV and Bayonetta 2/3. That's what I take away from the expense plus Vergeben calling Sephiroth.

The Mario amiibo one with the overecstatic kid and the sparkles seems to be forever burned into my mind and not in a good way.

@AndyC_MK84 Well it still seems like everyone needs a four-year degree or something, because dealing with average people is murder. Just cram the first 2-4 years of college into tax-paid primary education by cutting out the bloat, still allowing people to choose a career path through their risk/reward dollar, and let's start with that small step towards advancing our collective intelligence.

@AndyC_MK84 And yet we fund primary education with tax dollars, which is either clearly going to waste or is working and all the more reason we need to reform it and enforce higher learning.

On the flip side, I cannot even begin to trust either government to not waste or mishandle the funds (and are notoriously easy to pull off scams) or private enterprise to not make it the absolute price-gouge that it currently is.

@JasmineDragon I think the Doritos noodles might be okay, actually. Cheese and spices have found their way to ramen. Cheese, not so often, but it has precedence.

I'm more concerned about the Mountain Dew. That won't work no matter how that's done. A limp hint, adding carbonation to the broth, failing to substitute the lime — none of those would work well. And that's not even what they did. They soaked the egg and the seaweed (barf) in Mountain Dew.

Look, I get it, spicy flavors and lime work well in savory ramen, but this is not even close to a good idea.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens is a fun little Metroidvania, and has been on sale recently (might still be???).

@Sabrewing I still don't know what the 2 clocks were for, considering the rest of the photos are character-driven. Sure we had a reveal on 12/10, but that doesn't explain the 14 or the 30. And, hey, they probably mean nothing in re: reveals, but that's the only reasonable instance since it's that out-of-whack, whereas speculation on his normal photos makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Please, please be a good classic-style game.

As long as they fix the "2 steps back" they took in MK8/DX, I don't care how long I have to wait for MK9.

Having replayed it recently, I now agree with Matt Bozon that the original Shantae needs a hefty bit more modern QoL than I had anticipated. Its pacing is an absolute crawl due to level layout and enemies.

XBC2's pandering is making it difficult for me to take the Xenoblade series seriously. Good for those that can enjoy the game I guess, though, and good on Nintendo for localizing it — certainly seems to have paid off.

@Blooper987 We'll have to wait and see. But prior to these fighters, she was all over Blaster Master Zero, Indivisible, etc. Odd that all's super-quiet on the fighter front.

Boy, those were some easy Spirit Battles. I really thought Bahamut ZERO was going to give me more trouble, but I guess a Giant/Transformation Duration Up/Giant Killer Palutena was just too much. Countered Tifa like crazy. Franklin Badge Equipped made some fights pathetically easy.

That last one could actually be an Anti-Geno that Smithy forged. It already has all of the hallmarks of Smithy's handiwork: Yaridovich's shoes, a turnkey like the Ninjas or Bob-Ombs, Boomer-like armor, Domino's eyes, etc.

@Specters Looks, style, personality, attack. Depth, intelligence, and such take a backseat in the Circus of the Lowest Common Denominator. Though Geno Boost and the Blast/Flash are no slouches.
Same general reason Tails gets picked on and ignored, despite being the barometer for whether or not a Sonic game fits the franchise's own theming and story tone.

We already know of Geno's near-inclusion in Brawl and Sakurai's mentioned him specifically multiple times. IF, if, a Fighter's Pass 3 is confirmed, I'd bet money that he's in it.

@sanderev Interesting. I'm very curious to see if Falco's aerial game and Reflector absolutely murder him. Can't imagine how salty a Sephiroth player would get from a reflected fully-charged B.
EDIT: It did in fact make the Lv. 8 AI sweat profusely. Falco's aerial chaining is a fantastic matchup against his angles, slow startup, and slow endlag. Reflector was HILARIOUS. But don't approach Sephiroth from above. 😬

@AnnoyingFrenzy I similarly thought about Cloud's Up+B to really cheese it, but my principles wouldn't let me. 🤣
