While Nintendo is company of the year and arguably comeback company of the year... Capcom is making their push. This is amazing. I think I may finally try my hand at this series while I'm only a casual fan of fighting games.
Waiting on reviews of Riptide and Plague Road. Both look good but could just as easily be one of those games that look fun in trailers but feel meh to play.
Why would it be anything else? The basic download price is the same everywhere, and this is said to be the best, most optimised version of the game available to play as a console or handheld game. I don't buy downloads pricier than $20 myself, but for anyone who doesn't care about that so much, you don't have anything to complain about.
The standard Steam price is $8.99 USD, if it launches at that price I may get it day 1. Would be really nice if the custom-questions feature were still accessible through the touchpad.
If the gameplay was at least pretty compelling this would be a really nice little gem, sad it more resembles an iphone's time-wasting formula than a true game. Truly hope the devs hear the criticism though, there's a lot of potential and the visual style is breath taking.
I fully expect to see Forces get a lot of 6/10s and 7/10s from nitpicking critics. Don't care, game looks fun and I'm looking forward to day 1. Morphite looks great, Heroes of the Monkey Tavern looks very intriguing but I'll likely wait for a discount. The Sparkle 2 Evo looks fascinating as a casual wind-down game and the price is right. Good week for the eShop.
@SuperCharlie78 Tell that to Syberia. Although they do a great job at getting most Switch games a review when most sites ignore a lot of indie games and rereleases.
Point and click roots run deep in my childhood from various Humongous Entertainment classics like Freddi Fish and Spy Fox. I'll probably wait for a sale, but I'm keeping my eye on this. Love the artstyle and the music sounds really nice too.
This was $3 well spent, really enjoying this game for an endless runner. Crisp, gothic and Castlevania-like visuals and sound and the gameplay is just fun.
One of my deepest regrets of not owning a Wii U was not getting to partake of Rayman Legends. Depending on the price, gonna be so great to play it on the go! (For some reason I typically enjoy sidescrollers more on handhelds than consoles shrug )
The Switch could use at least one major FPS, something that would work better for the system and audience, like Overwatch. By the end of the year I'll have my 3D platformer bug met with Odyssey, Sonic Forces and hopefully Yooka-Laylee. It's been a solid year for the Switch's game lineup so far, even if it could have been better it is miles better than the wreck it could have been if Nintendo hadn't prepared.
The portability factor to me is the most 'definitive' part of this release. I've never had the chance to buy it before, so when the price goes down I'm sure this will join my collection.
Finally Sega is trying to cater to what brought me into Sonic. A number of the old school fans may lament that they're not gunning for the 90s crowd with this one (although with Mania coming out, I can't imagine why they should get a double helping...)
This is shaping up to be one of the best platformers of the year, can't wait to get my hands on it.
Definitely never looked forward to a main series Mario released during my lifetime more than Odyssey, Nintendo had better have a decent amount of surprises planned at E3 but honestly this is probably the only Switch game I'll need this Christmas. And I'm totally fine with that. <3
I honestly can't decide if this game looks more like a platformer or a action-adventure title. Either way it looks far too interesting to pass up on for that price, will be one of the first Switch games I get.

Re: Review: Kid Tripp (Switch eShop)
Looks fun and challenging enough I'd look at it someday, not now and maybe on sale but nice to have another solid 8 bit runner on the 'shop.

Re: Review: Snow Moto Racing Freedom (Switch)
You could say the specter lurking over this game's shoulder would be Arctic Thunder.

Re: The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker Will, Erm, Infect Switch Next Spring
"Rated M for Sexual Themes" What on Earth is in there? But this concept looks fascinating and I'm loving seeing FMV games make a cult comeback.
Re: Talking Point: The Dust Settles on a Giddy Retail Period for Nintendo Switch - What's Next?
I'd be surprised if Retro Studios' secret game isn't at least hinted before E3 next year.

Wonderful subtitle.
Re: Review: Sonic Forces (Switch)
So basically it's another Sonic Heroes. Fine by me. Looking forward to playing it down the line.
Re: Review: Morphite (Switch eShop)
Odd score. This is one of the most ambitious and just fun indie games I've played in a while. $15 is a steal for this much content done right.

Re: Morphite
One more day. Can't wait for the review; most critics seem to find it mediocre whereas most fans love it. Strange.

Any ideas on when the Knight Terrors review could be up? @ThomasBW84 Interested in it for that price but waiting on a review to be sure.
Re: Mario Bros. to Kick Off 'Arcade Archives' Range on Nintendo Switch
Depends on the price. Super Mario Bros multiplayer could be a whale of fun.
Re: Review: Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge (Game Boy)
I still can't believe this isn't on the 3DS VC. It's depressing, really.
Re: We Could See More FIFAs On Switch Beyond FIFA 18
Hope Madden comes to Switch next year. As downhill as it's gone, it's all we have (for now), and it would be interesting as a handheld title.

Re: Netflix Renews Castlevania Series For A Second, Longer Season
While this isn't my kind of thing, it's cool to see a series based on a video game turn out pretty legitimately solid.
Re: First Impressions: Running Scared from Sonic Forces
Won't be the first time I'll buy and enjoy a Sonic game a number of other people didn't enjoy. Won't be the last time either. Whatever.

@Spoony_Tech Same. It was for a worthy cause, no shame.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Metroid: One-Hundred Confirmation.
This alone makes this the best Nintendo E3 in years.
Re: Mech-Based Action RPG Implosion: Never Lose Hope Is Stomping To Switch
Daft Punk reference caught, NintendoLife.
This game actually looks fairly cool, depending on the price.
Re: Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition Confirmed For Physical Release On Switch
About how long is the game? I wouldn't mind the $40 tag if its lengthy enough, looks extremely interesting.

Re: Nintendo's April Fools' Day Prank is for a Fire Emblem Game That Would Actually Be Cool
