@Dethmunk I’ve been thinking similar about the church connection- it seems to me that many religions and churches have some horrible views and practices associated. I’m not going to name names because I’m not interested in triggering anyone but some recent church related scandals have been abhorrent but without church affiliated actors being held personally responsible

@Joeynator3000 a soft launch is releasing your product in a market other than your main one so that you can get feedback and iron out problems before launching in your actual target market. Or at least that’s (sorta) how they described it in Mythic Quest

@UltimateOtaku91 You’re right, we don’t know when the day one DLC was created. I would still prefer to see as complete a version of a game as possible at launch and this was enough for me to cancel my pre order in favour of Resi Evil 4 VR and I’ll wait for a complete version of SMT at some point in the future.

@UltimateOtaku91 it’s the (not unreasonable) assumption that content has been withheld or stripped from the game to sell as a premium.
Edit- I’m not trying to be antagonistic but I don’t understand why people want LESS for their money. Despite the PR message, the games industry is not struggling for cash and I would rather see the money remain in my own pocket.

I can play a good 4 hour game 3-4 times through and I can abandon a boring 150+hour game after 2 hours. For me it’s the experience that counts.

I work in mental health and I’ve seen so many Boomers and Gen Xers with significant mental health problems caused by or worsened by poor working environments.
I’m not sure the “everyone’s work environment sucks, deal with it” argument is a solid one.
Edit- the folks I have in mind specifically are retired or made redundant males who didn’t know what the extent of the damage was until they were “free” from the workplace. Depression and anxiety would often manifest.

Between the article and the comments, it sounds like the folks in the article are making use of a platform available to them to talk about issues that affect many/ most of us in our workplaces.
