Taiko no Tatsujin is dirt-cheap, but it’s ridiculous that the DLC, which is both excessively abundant and hideously overpriced, never goes on sale, and unfortunately, a few characters are locked behind these packs as well.
That aside though, it’s hard not to recommend at that price, but with the Rhythmic Adventure Pack offering more songs in the base package overall (and no DLC), as well as two single-player campaigns, it’s perhaps the better deal.
@Silly_G Was literally gonna comment asking what was different about those two, lol. Never played a Taiko game before. My backlog is already pretty large and I'm running out of money lol, so it's not a Hugh priority right now. But, this is good to know for future reference if I should ever take the plunge.
@Silly_G i was going to get this bit you cant use the drum in adventure mode. Damn crazy idea.
@Kidfunkadelic83 What?!? That’s bonkers! Thanks for saving me from finding that out myself
Wish Namco would port over the Wii U Tekken Tag Tournament 2!
I’m guessing the sale is to pay for their new logo
@kirbysupremacy
It's my favorite fighter of the past several years. I have a physical copy, but also downloaded it during one of these sales, just so I could boot it from the SD card and have a go.
Tales of Vesperia for that price is a bargain for those who haven't played it before.
@WhiteTrashGuy Is the online alive and does it run well?
@Kidfunkadelic83 : Really? That’s completely nuts.
I have the drum but I haven’t used it yet.
@Kid_Sickarus @Silly_G google it. The only reason that i didnt get it. Think you still can for free play mode but in adventure you csnt use controller to move around and drums plugged in to play the songs.
(EDIT) Apparently im wrong. You csn have the drum set as controller 2.
@Silly_G I know, the DLC is never on sale, Groove costar has a good few, but at least the game has like 100+ songs in the base game.
Which is what I was going to say, I never heard of groove costar, till I randomly downloaded a demo for it, Yep, I'm in love! I need to get it at some point because, man, one of the best I have played like it yet.
I'm lucky enough to have virtually all of them bar "Active Life" & One Piece PW3 (I have no.4). A lot of good gaming there.
picked both SOA. hope it suffices for the portable ffxiv experience that steam deckers have. also, i had no idea gold coins could be used toward these purchases. for second tits.
I'm so annoyed that Fighterz is discounted but the more complete packages are still way overpriced. I might've snapped it up if the complete package was like 30 bucks or so. Oh well.
Same discounts for those games as they always have..
@Kidfunkadelic83 oh cool, just had a look and the drum functionality was added about a year ago. Been sat on my shelf on unopened since it came out as I found out the drums didn't work data after I got it
@Big_Fudge thats good to know. Think its about time i grabbed it then.
As much as I'd like Tales of Vesperia physical, that price is admittedly VERY tempting.
tag tournament 2 U, soul calibur 2 GC edition, and ridge racer HD plz. 😕
After all these years, namco + bandai is STILL a peanut butter and garlic sandwich.
at least the games go on sale often i guess.
Taiko is good. We play here.....buuuuuuuuuuuutttt...
you really need the drums to play this game properly. Play using joycom is impossible.
If anyone here get to play it properly using joycoms, please...explain to me how you get it!
Dragon Ball FighterZ is great.
Too bad Pac-Man Museum + isn't out yet. Will probably buy Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus.
If you don't have it, you should definitely buy Tales of Vesperia!!!
Katamari is also Bandai Namco is it not? Cause Katamari Damacy Reroll is also on sale too.
Little Nightmares is certainly worth picking up at that price.
@Not_Soos Please do yourself a favor and save up for a good drum (the official Hori one or better). They are amazing games, but only with the drum. Also pretty good for filling in small time windows. It’s actually not good for your eyes to play for hours and hours. The game itself recommends taking breaks every 30 minutes? I forget. Don’t worry, doesn’t hurt your eyes, just a bit tiring if you overdo it. I think I’ve played for an hour straight with to without much issue, just good to take a good break once in a while.
@sketchturner Such a great game. Want to play the sequel, but I should probably wait for an equally good deal, or wait til I have a more powerful console. (Love the graphics and art in those games, want to see them in their full glory.)
@Clyde_Radcliffe
Last time I played I had no issues. But that was a couple of months ago. The community is there. They are still releasing DLC characters for it. Biggest issue with the Switch version is the load times. Looking at a good 20 seconds on average.
Only recently learned about Drill Land. I hear it's a remake of a Japanese-exclusive GameCube game which is considered the best of the franchise?
@WaveBoy It is old. It's a GameCube game, I think. But according to the one of the streamers I watch, it's supposed to be a well-regarded game in the franchise.
I've been eyeing the Taiko games honestly, I felt like most of them would lose my interest quickly...But the RPG pack looks interesting. Plus...Monster Hunter and Assassination Classroom is in this, so...I may go for this.
@kirbysupremacy DBZ is really good if you like fighting games. It's like a less unfair Marvel gameplay-wise and looks awesome in motion.
