Would defiately get this. Even in 2011, me and my buddies had a lot of fun playing the original and watching X-Strike Studios awesome RIver City Rampage film.

The first Mario game i owned, on the Atari 2600. I did play SMB before that time though on a mates NES. Very fond memories of playing it. Obviously the arcade version is highly superior to the 2600 one, but as a 6 / 7 year old, you don't notice that so much

@retro_player_22 there are some Capcom spinoffs on the Wii if i recall. Not sure on how good they are though.

Its an impressive release for the 3DS, and dirt cheap to pick up now. Good on the go fighting.

I will probably get Duck Hunt, cos although i have the original on my NES, it's unplayable on modern TV's. This will be fun Christmas day time killing.

Same situation with me owning a 4gb Xbox 360. No chance in hell of playing GTA V on that as you need 8GB of space to bloody run it.

My NES has been in storage for a good 5 years now. It was working reasonably well the last time i played it. But i know it won't last forever. This kind of makes me want to dust it off again, however the only game carts i own that i don't own again on VC are Super Off Road and Snake Rattle and Roll.

I had to shop around for my copy of Smash. £50 in Game was off putting. Picked it up for £40 in tesco.

@Ninty4thewin I have that same costume. It could well be an Aladdi costume as well. If i had a spare magic carpet to carry around with me

For relaxing times

I did love my GBC, Was the first Gameboy i actually owned. Bought a pink one for my Mum (She can only play Tetris). She still has hers.

Yeh the hat is pretty dope. I probably wouldn't wear it, I'm a flat cap kinda guy. But its re-sell value would be decent on ebay anyway, or great hanging up in a collection.

I was always a Nintendo kid. I played a fair bit of my friends Sega's but didn't actually pick up a megadrive til about the year 2000 when i was 16 just 'cos they were dirt cheap and i went through a collecting phase.

30 years old and not ashamed to say i am very excited by this game.

I have fond memories of playing this round a mates house back in the early 90s. Was wowed by the graphics at the time.

Could be tempted to pick up some more of the Megaman series. Although i've always blown at them games.

I loved (Still do) the original NES version. This may be tempting just to be able to play it again without the slow down the original has when there is a lot going on on screen. Something that never bothered me as a kid, but now playing it on WIi virtual console it does.

I have the Blaze rendition of this. It is worth the money. Sturdy enough little portable.

Would probably pay the upgrade fee from my Wii VC purchased versions of Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time so i could play them using the Wii U Gamepad.

This has the potential to be brilliant. An editor with a few more options than what we have already seen would be ideal. This is for gamers after all. Not developers. So they are gonna keep it a simple tool based approach. Whatever it turns out like i'll definately be getting it. Back when i was 11 me and my friend designed levels and worlds for an entirely new Super Mario World sequel. That was all hand drawn. Would be amazing to dig them up and re-create them as a proper game.

I feel at the age of 30 that i may be too old for Tomodachi life. On paper anyway.But the game does intrigue me. I'm gonna leave it a few more weeks see how people are still enjoying it come then.

The NES Version was my first memory. My friend had it on a cart with Nintendo World Cup and Super Mario Bros which he got with his NES.

Cheers for the hints. This not knowing when my Wii U bundle is being delivered is killing me, and leaving me with cabin fever. Luckily i can crack a window and play MK7 with my head poking out.

Ordered the MK WiiU bundle. It claimes to be despatch ut estimated delivery date of 31st. So i fell i'll be sitting around waiting in my flat from Friday morning til potentially Saturday evening twiddling my thumbs. Have however planned a MK8 Party for the Saturday night so it better have arrived by then,

I don't think some of us 3DS Ambassador's realise how lucky we were in getting a lot of AAA GBA titles for nothing. Seeing as it looks like none of them are coming to the 3DS virtual console anytime in a hurry

30th isn't far away now. Annoyingly i have the week leading upto that off work. Could have done with it out on the 23rd for a solid weeks play.

I played on one for the first time this year at GEEK2014. Only had Mario Tennis, but it was a capable game. I can imagine long term sessions would ruin the eyes and your sitting position isn't all that comfortable.

@SamiCertinSMK I understand the US uses NTSC as a standard. Is Pal mainly just Europe? I assume the Japanese also have NTSC standard. It doens't matter in later generation consoles i guess. But back then it was a big deal. A world without black borders lol. Dare to dream.

Just done a bit of research. Dry Dry Desert and Sherbert Land return from the GCN. Not two of the greatest, but decent. I long for my MK track ever. Gamecube's Bowser's Castle to be re-imagined.
