Very impressive, Never realised how much you could get away with racing on the dirt without it slowing you down. Guess its all about the timing of the jumps. I'd challenge people to some hardcore Double Dash time trials. But the snes games is probably the hardest of the series. 150cc Special Cup races are tough as nails to win.

3DS sales show we love Nintendo Handhelds. But our kids of today think its only cool to play COD and the like. I'm 29 years old, and i need the bright colours and catchy tunes of Mario Bros to keep me smiling sometimes. Best form of escape

Still trying to revert back to my 12 year old self and complete DKC3 on my SNES. Its the one DKC title that i never managed to finish. Soo much to do in it, although i rank DKC2 as my fave of the trilogy and DKC as a landmark achievment for the SNES. Still looks slick to this day.

Damn, that is a tough call between this and the World Cup Final. Although i very much doubt England will be there for it and besides i was cycling across the States when the 2010 final was on. Had to find an empty sports bar that had ESPN2 just to watch some of it. No Footy fans in Idaho it seemed.

Game stores have a deal right now for £220, You get The Mario Bros / Luigi Bros bundle with the console and the new Wii Sports. I'd go for that, then purchase SM3DW on top of that. The hat and remote are not needed for myself. Even though they are cool

Seems Nintendo have finally got me to splash the cash on a Wii U , Now its first Killer title is released.

I need to seriously put some more hours into Pokemon X before this gets released. Otherwise i'll never make the time to play them both with my full effort

My love affair with Kirby goes back to having Kirby's Adventure on the NES. A game i ranked closely up there with Mario 3 as my fave NES game. No game in the series has come close in my opinion. Maybe that's jus my age speaking. But this new title does intrigue me.

@SirQuincealot lol even though the Football Manager / Championship Manager series are the biggest selling and most praised sports management simulations ever created. Typical American view on the worlds most popular sport.

I have this on the Wii, and the EX remake for the GBA so will pass on owning it a 3rd time on 3DS even with the fun two player option in tact

As i don't have a WiiU i have no idea what miiverse is. But will get it on my 3DS. I assume its like facebook for Nintendo fans

If bundle offers like play.com had yesterday start to occur regualrly. Systems will be snapped up. For one day only they were selling the Wii U 32gb model with Mario and Luigi Bros pack for only £199.99 Absolute steal

I first experienced emulation on the PC when i got Pokemon Yellow for the GB on there wbefore the game had even been released in the UK. If anything that led me to buy Pokemon Blue for the GB shortly after to experience the game properly. In the mid '00s i got hold of Discs on ebay that had 100s of Mega Drive, SNES, NES, GB roms on, so owned the monopoly of retro gaming. I got a lot of enjoyment out of them games but still when it came round to buying my wii i have opted to pay and download the true classics i wanted to own again. Emulation has never taken anything away from my spending on Nintendo products, and probably never will.

Yeh, plenty of support for the 3DS and 2DS via Pokemon's launch. Now put some money into the Wii U Ad Budget, where you actually need it Nintendo

@electrolite77 I enjoyed the bowling on the original the most, so intrigued to try out the improvements. My WiiU purchase will be in the New Year though, as i have to save for moving house before then. Bah Humbug!

It doesn't help stores just stuff wii and wii u titles in the same area at the moment. Hopefully with some big titles on the way the wii u store drops will take more prominence.

Does this game even play any better than wii sports / resort? Seeing as i'm assuming you use wiimotes for it? If not then, whats the selling point?

I seem to be waiting on a wii u price drop that won't happen i think this Autumn. I missed the boat when HMV and Asda were doing the Premium packs for £199.99 with Nintendo Land and Zombi U, until they sold out. Now everywhere is back upto the £249.99 allbeit with decent games bundles.

Do enjoy owning the NES version of River City Ransom on my Wii, and the ex version on my GBA. Would like to have this on ether console

I have to say my 3DS is probably my fave piece of gaming kit since the snes came out, and i still think its got a very long lifecycle ahead of it. It oozes class

@jrob23 I think your idea of sales numbers is a little off. PS4 and xbox one will hit higher sales numbers than that for sure.

@ungibbed Yeh i really don't know why the US model was soo damn chunky looking. They went back to the Super Famicom style for the European release, so not sure why they changed it. That one still looks slick by todays standards of consoles. But the NTSC model is very Lego looking

@MeWario Yeh i think that pricing Super Mario Bros 3 at the same price as some of the NES's poorer affairs does take away from the cleverness of the VC or eshop. I'd more likely purchase some of the poorer titles (when i get a wii u) if they were a helluva lot cheaper.
