Re: Editorial: Is This a Golden Era of Gaming? Absolutely

JudgeMethos

Ive been playing games since the Atari 2600. There's pretty much an argument that every upgraded era in gaining with new consoles was a 'golden age.' I loved them all. Now, imo, it's no different than what cool games and the current technology provides now. Every generation will be a 'golden era' to someone. I loved the SNES vs Genesis era. I LOVED the Gamcube vs PS2 vs Xbox era A LOT! I'd probably put that first in my lifetime. Bit that's just me. This is all subjective of course... like this article🙂

@astonkiller not all chat, sir. I always heard bad things about chat but tried it first on Dead Island(PC). Quite fun. Then Dying Light(PC). Even more fun. Then Destiny(PS4). Hella fun. Never tried it on my 360 or One, weird as that may seem. Never once have I had or heard any racists comments. Bad jokes sometimes but none of the so called typical tripe most say is the reason they don't go online. Just sayin... Some chat is quite entertaining and fun🙂

I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. Sigh... Nintendo, from a long time gamer since '85 to now... get with the times. PLEASE! Everyone involved with making a console has evolved with the times... except YEW😡 Upgrade the hardware through firmware or SOMETHING! I was willing to give it a try but bump that! My fellow gamer have spoken. There's nothing redeemable about your online ventures.

@Wolfgabe I took it as stress. The stress Iwata had hurt him. Stress has been linked to some forms of cancer. That's how I took it. Iwata was trying his damnedest to move Nintendo forward to a more modern console setting but the higher ups that are too traditional always buried his thinking with their rules and regs. The stress Iwata suffered is more than likely (just my opinion now) is possibly was caused him to fall ill unfortunately. Saying "it killed him" isn't the best way to get your point across but anyway, that's how I saw it.

Re: Nintendo UK Reiterates That Switch Demand Has "Surpassed" Global Estimates

I actually found one at Walmart in memphis last friday. I got off work and went to one right down the street from where I live just to see. I asked a lady in electronics and she called a manager and told me they MAY have one but a manager needed to look in the case. After waiting 45 patient minutes... the lady came out, walked by me and whispered, "go stand by the far register." Without hesitation, I power walked. They brought the only one out they had (The grey one)! I was ecstatic! I was looking for one for my son's biryhday on the 4th of July and hit pay dirt. That next day I went to buy some bathroom supplies for the old home and I always go to Target's electronics section to look around... and what do ya know? 2 neon colored Switches just sitting there... waving at me🤔 I bought one for my best friend's nephew because they can't find any in Atlanta, Ga. All in all, I'm good on Switches now. Got a grey one for my son and a Neon one for my besties nephew😏 God is good🙂 lol!

Yeah, I do believe that's what Nintendo always does though: make systems that they know will be good for them and not really cater to 3rd parties. Each system proves that. Nintendo knows their systems inside and out and makes their games shine while it seems some 3rd parties struggle to do the same. I guess they are improving with a the Unreal engine capability. Snails pace and all that. But... you get what you pay for. Great Nintendo games that are fully optimized and a rare gem every now and then from other companies.
