@Toastmaster This is just a bullying / scare tactic by Nintendo to scare the average person that doesn't know their rights.
Here in almost any country in Europe, that part of the terms of service won't hold a candle in any court! It's a blatant consumer right violation and Nintendo knows it.
@KociolekDoSyta Not anymore. Sony messed up the launch of the Portal, as it only supported Remote Play at launch.
But Sony have since giving it steady firmware updates, actually listened to feedback and it now supports cloud gaming ( streaming ).
I actually bought the PS Portal recently and its amazing! Gorgeous 8inch screen with full blown built-in dual shock controller. Great battery life and super light weight!
For 200 bucks it's a bargain. Especially when you factor in the 90 bucks price tag of a PS5 dual shock controller.
There is a whole Switch modding community out there that doesn't mod to pirate, but mod to improve the experience.
There are youtube videos in how they add a larger battery, with larger housing, better fan and 3D print a custom dock with air cooling.
Then with the custom firmware they fully unlock the Tegra X1 chip, as the SoC is heavily underclocked on the Switch.
It only utilizes about 25-30% on handheld mode and 50% in docked mode.
So people managed to run Zelda: ToTK at a stable 60fps on their fully modded Switch console. Just with some extra cooling and modded firmware.
In comparison. Zelda:ToTK can't even manage a stable 30fps on a retail console! Lets not even talk about the disaster that is Pokemon Scarlet/Violet!
They are not stealing property nor pirating any games!
I don't think people complain about the lack of innovation with the Switch 2.
People complain about the high price of the console and the much higher price of games and accessories.
Here in Scandinavian countries we have to pay 650 euro for the base console and 750 euro for the Mario Kart World bundle.
New Switch games are 100-110 euro (current Switch 1 games are 60-70 euro).
The new Pro 2 controller is 120 euro as opposed to 90 euro for the Pro 1 controller.
Absolutely bonkers! I can buy the PS5 for 640 euro and Dual Shock controllers for 90 euro.
Sony received a huge backlash and critique for the high price on PS5 games that are 80-90 euro average.
People complained you had to pay a 10 euro upgrade fee to upgrade a PS4 version to PS5 version.
But here comes Nintendo that sells their games for 10-20 euro more than PS5/Xbox games, sells the Pro 2 controller for 30 euro more and ask 20 euro for Switch 2 game upgrades.
Nintendo was so succesful with the Switch, since the console was way cheaper than XBox and Playstation, their games fairly priced and lower than XBox and Playstation counter parts.
It was the family friendly go-to console for many with their accessible prices.
But right now, they raced to the top as the most expensive console, accessories and games on the market with the Switch 2!
They made Sony look like a saint now.
Stealing property is called Piracy! You mixing up these two things.
That there are people out there modding console to then pirate games illegaly. Is a totally different thing.
Right now, now the DS/3DS system is no longer supported, I am actually thinking about modding one of my 3DS consoles, so I can rip all my game cartridges to the microSD card, so I can play all my games directly from my console, without having to constantly swap cartridges and so extend the life of both the console and the cartridges itself.
Believe it or not, this is actually one of the main reasons people mod console systems like these.
I am not stealing property nor pirating, since it's all games I already paid for and are in my possession!
@AmanPikon Anyone even pretending to accuse Digimon as being a response to Pokemon, are crazy and don't even understand the time it takes to design and develop a game, yet alone an entire physical TCG.
Both franchises were created and in development at the same time.
The TCG was their main focus, as an actual response to the success of Magic: The Gathering TCG and saw it as an opportunity in a new emerging market with great potential at that time.
What people don't even seem to understand, even today, is that the video games are still just a side business for both franchises.
For The Pokemon Company, the video games and TV series are just products to support their main product: Pokemon TCG!
If you look at the profit numbers. The amount of money TPC makes with the Pokemon TCG is obsene compared to the video games and TV series combined. It complete dwarfs their numbers.
People had a reason to be upset and outraged against Nintendo / TPC after the horribly botched release of Pokemon Scarlet/Violet!
A company that sits on billions of dollars in profit, unwilling to give Game Freak enough support to make a good Pokemon game!
That whole debacle is what actually caused the huge success of Palworld! And Nintendo only made it worse in the way they responded and their lies, deceit and utter refusal to fix their own damn Pokemon games! Up to this day!
TPC put more effort in their live service games, Pokemon Unite and the new Pokemon Digital TCG apps, then they do on their mainline Pokemon games. As it clearly makes them more money. That's all you need to know where their priority lies and that they only care about your wallet.
This just more and more reinforces my decision to not buy the Switch 2.
My Switch OLED is still working perfectly fine and looks like new. Nintendo's more and more both hostile and anti-consumer actions in recent years is just starting to wear me down and leave me with a bad taste in my mouth.
@BTB20 All games, including Digimon ( 1996/1997 ) and Tamagotchi ( 1996 ) had years in development.
Especially a physical product takes a long time in development, testing iterations, certifications, manufacturing, etc, before the final product releases.
Both Digimon and Pokemon were trying to mimic and ride on the success of Magic:The Gathering TCG.
Pocket monster concept is also not new and not invented by Game freak. It's borrowed from old children's stories.
And that is perfectly fine. Like I am trying to say all this time. Everyone is copying/borrowing from someone else.
It's called creative freedom and why we can enjoy so many games in different genres.
So lets just call a spade a spade shall we and just call out Nintendo for what they are! A bunch of hypocrites and the new top management is just horrible for the companies reputation.
They are just petty and insidious. They feel insecure and threatened, because Palworld was a bigger success than Pokemon Scarlet&Violet. Rightfully so, as many people were pissed off at Nintendo / Pokemon Company for that garbage of a release with horrible performance problems, they never bothered to fix. Even with Nintendo coming out with an official apology and promise of fixing it was their top priority back then!
But nope, all a lie and they just focused on shoving the paid DLC (with even worse performance issues) down our throats instead!
And that is the whole crux of the matter here. The Nintendo of old we all knew and love, no longer exists. It died with Satoru Iwata!
Today, Nintendo is just a greedy, selfish corporation now, bending to their shareholders like any other company out there.
The way they mishandled Pokemon Scarlet&Violet and lied to us with false promises. They way they handled the whole Switch 2 release debacle and insidious pricing. ( They make Sony look like a saint at this point. )
Filing patents of generic game mechanics and try to file it under an old existing parent pattent! So they can go after already released games!
That should all be proof enough to anybody in what kind of company Nintendo is today.
@Dr_Lugae Digmon also started in 1996 but was eventually released in 1997.
It doesn't really matter. They all started around the same time.
Both Digimon TCG and Pokemon TCG are based on the success of Magic the Gathering TCG, riding on that game's success and it's TCG gaming, collecting, trading RPG concept.
The point I am trying to make is that everyone has been copying/borrowing from each other for decades, when a product, game, setting is highly successful.
World of Warcraft MMORPG in 2004 was nothing unique and copied / borrowed heavily from EverQuest and Ultima MMORPG franchise, but somehow became a huge success.
Soon after, every other game studio on the planet tried to copy WoW to try mimic and bank on it's success.
What Nintendo does know, is trying to get the sole right on making Pocket monster games.
They are now trying to get patents on various mechanics, like Catching animal pets, summoning animal pets and animal mount gliding.
Then they are even more insiduous by trying to file this new patents under an existing old patent. So they can now try go after already released games, like Palworld.
This is not about Plagiarism and I really don't understand how in earth people try to defend Nintendo's actions in this.
I don't care what you think about Pocketpal Inc and Palworld.
That is completely beside the point here and you have to look at what Nintendo is actually trying to do here, which is just petty and insiduous!
If they get away with this and succeed in their lawsuit, then there is no stopping them for going after others next.
@antlion Again, if that were the case, they can sue on Plagiarism charges.
but what Nintendo does now, is just nuts and sets a very dangerous precedent, if they get away with getting game mechanics patents approved.
People seriously don't understand the concequences of this as before you know it, actual behemoths like TenCent, 2K, EA, etc will start patenting game mechanics too and then we really screwed.
It would be the end of Indie development and independent game studios and overall creative freedom in general.
@sanderev But Pokemon mechanics aren't that unique either.
Digimon was invented a year before pokemon and uses similar mechanics with pocket monsters.
Or how about LEVEL5 with Yo-kai Watch for example?
Like I said. Nintendo needs to stop being such hypocrites.
They borrow/copy/use plenty of existing game mechanics themselves, but then throw a hissy fit when others do the same.
This has been going on for decades in game design and development. Everyone is borrowing/copying from each other.
It's called creative freedom.
There is a difference when it comes to IP in that someone uses the exact same characters, character looks, names, story, etc.
That falls under plagiarism and can be sued on everywhere and in every industry.
@Dr_Lugae LOL? You must not have played many games then, if you really think that Pokemon's mount gliding mechanic is somehow unique and warrants being patented.
It's not.
Nintendo should stop being such hypocrites, as if they haven't copied/borrowed game mechanics themselves? Come on now!
Pokemon stats and skills. Water, Fire, Grass, Fairy, Fighting, Steel types. Just a different flavor on Magic elements.
All core staple RPG mechanics invented by Gary Gygax with Dungeons and Dragons back in the 70's.
That game is far more of a 1:1 copy than Palworld. The only difference is that they use flat discs instead of spheres.
TemTem has 3 starters, 6 limit, gym battles, etc, etc.
Palworld is a ARK survival kind of game at it's core, just with Pokemon mechanics. So yeah, maybe they should have just changed the shape from spheres to cubes or something.
Would that have been better?
@Dr_Lugae The way gliding works in Legends/Scarlet/Violet is not unique. Many other RPG and MMORPG games have/had that kind of animal mount gliding before it.
Gliding is gliding. Not that many different ways you can go about it.
Gliding on animal mounts? There are so many games out there with flying / gliding mounts!
This is considered a standard mechanic in many games for decades and not something that should be allowed to be patented! Absolutely nuts!
This is ridiculous and getting out of hand, no matter what you think about Pocketpal Inc. and Palworld itself. The fact that Nintendo is trying to patent game mechanics, including ones that have been used in games for decades, is just crazy and disturbing.
This current Nintendo CEO has completely lost the plot. Just look at the whole Switch 2 reveal and pricing debacle!
Instead of focusing on making good games, Nintendo is just slowly turning into a horrific Patent troll company! Ruining and stifling creative freedom.
@Olmectron It was literally advised to download and patch all your games before the eShop closure. I bought a larger microSD card to download all my purchases and patch them up on my 3DS console.
I can no longer open the eShop. It clearly says its closed down.
Do you mean its still possible to access your digital game list via the System menu or something and redownload from Nintendo? Been 2 years I last used my 3DS.
@Anti-Matter How is this any different than using Steam or GOG?
Two of the most popular digital platforms on PC.
When it comes to XBOX/PC GamePass. It's incredible value for money.
You can play and try out so many games, without having to put down full retail price. Especially for games you not sure about.
I have GamePass Ultimate for years now and its great. Especially now XBox Cloud gaming works really well too, I can stream (XBox) games to my laptop or iPad Pro from anywhere, with full controller support.
@MSaturn This only works, when all future consoles keep being backwards compatible with the same eShop store, so you can continue to download these "key on card" games, when you buy it 2nd hand.
If the 3DS for example had "key on card" games, then those physical games will be worth nothing anymore! As the 3DS eShop has been closed down. So you can no longer download any digital games you purchased. No longer download any patches for games.
AND! If you had this "key on card" game, it would be worthless now, since you can't download the game anymore.
So again, these "key on card" games only keep being valid and offer any resell value, as long as Nintendo keeps the Switch eShop alive in the future.
@FortniteJ Again, you comparing old(er) games being ported to the Switch compared to brand new AAA game releases, where each one of them had a big day 1 patch.
Of course it makes sense when you port an old(er) game, which has already had it's fair share of fixes and patches back in the day, will now run well straight of the cartridge (unless its a bad port).
@Zadaris CDPR can put CP2077 on a cartridge, since it's a 5 year old game that got a ton of patches, fixes and expansion.
Even if they put their new Witcher 4 game on a cartridge, it will be so buggy off the cartridge, that it will be neigh on unplayable and requires at least a huge day 1 patch and some follow up patches to be able to finish the game without bugging out somewhere.
That is the reality of today's game releases. Too many people working on one game, making it too complex and create very buggy, sometimes almost broken retail releases.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an marvelous exception, made by a small studio. Hope that game comes to the Switch 2.
@DennisLofgren The fact is that there is no info on this company, there is no clear info on this product. What safety certifications does it have? There is a reason why you can't buy these products in official stores. Since stores can only sell products that are approved, follow regulation and certifications.
Drop ship companies fall through the cracks as they use loop holes to bypass all this and as such can sell products that are potentially dangerous and often of very low / questionable quality. It's why I also not buy anything from Aliexpress and definitely not Temu.
I am not saying that Genki sells crap, but the fact they hide their company info, HQ, no contact details, not offering return and refund policies. This is all highly suspect! If you believe and stand by your own product, then you don't hide your info and deny standard shopping practices like refunds and returns.
@SirLink It doesn't matter who leaked the actual info to Genki.
In the end, Genki themselves decided to leak that info for their 15 mins of fame!
The April event was supposed to be the official Switch 2 reveal event, but instead, Nintendo had to scramble after these leaks and rush an Online direct much earlier and as such it ruined the whole Switch 2 April event.
Since everything was already leaked and the rushed Online Direct greeted by muted reactions, after the April event, the press only focused on the bad stuff like High console price and increased game prices and as such it has created a lot of negativity around the Switch 2 now.
They spend a huge marketing budget for a specific reveal date that also coincided with physical hands-on press-events on different locations, that requires a lot of careful planning.
Genki deliberately leaked the Switch 2 for 15 mins of fame and as such pretty much ruined the official reveal event, since all the details were pretty much leaked before hand.
It most likely forced Nintendo's hand to rush that direct shortly after, as they most likely didn't plan to reveal anything before the April event!
The official reveal was extremely muted by the press, with headlines all over pretty much saying it was a lackluster reveal event without surprises and just confirmed earlier leaks.
It was quite terrible for Nintendo, since everything was already leaked beforehand, the press just focused on the bad stuff after the April event, like high console price and increased price of games. Creating a lot of negativity around the Switch 2.
@SirLink Almost every product is manufactured in China.
Reputable companies like Apple and Nintendo (for example) control the entire manufacturing and QA process. That's the big difference.
These drop shipping companies on the other hand, just sell cheap clones and garbage that gets flooded onto our markets, hurting legitimate businesses that try to sell genuine and better quality products.
These drop shipping companies make use of legal, tax and regulation loop holes and governments should take more action against these practices and put a stop to it!
It's not just a danger to legitimate business, but also an environmental disaster, with these cheap crap products flooding our markets, breaking down quickly and adding to our plastic and e-waste.
Have you checked their website? It's just typical run of the mill drop shipping website. That's all they are! They manufacture nothing! Just rebranded cheap Chinese Temu quality garbage.
These drop shipping companies are the worst, jump through import tax loop holes and flood our markets with cheap Chinese plastic crap that breaks down quickly... greatly adding to our plastic waste and e-waste problems.
@Profchaos I think this game got a lot of undeserved hate and fell victim in the Political climate in US (and part of Europe) with the whole anti-DEI movement. Simply because it had a female lead character.
If they had opted for a male protagonist, the game would have been spared the political barrage and done better.
As it really is not a bad game at all. Especially if you enjoy the Assassin's Creed games and are also a Star Wars fan, you will likely enjoy this game.
I myself really enjoyed the first part of the game, but like with every other AC game I tried, I just end up getting bored.
I just tend to enjoy more linear story driven games. That is just my personal preference and doesn't mean this game is bad.
@Medic_alert I would have loved to see Jedi: Fallen Order come to the Switch, to be able to play it on the go.
Really enjoyed that game a lot. Though Jedi: Survivor I did not, simply because it was just more of the same and I just got bored of it. Maybe it also has to do that the story isn't as good as the first game.
Star Wars: Outlaws is a good game, but it basically just feels like an Assassin's Creed game with a Star Wars skin. The moment the world fully opens up, it becomes a bit of a grind.
@SirLink Of course they did it on purpose. For the exact same reason as to why phone manufacturers like Apple and Samsung limit key new software features to new phones only, even though the previous gen phones are powerful enough to also use them.
You need to try force people to buy the latest shiny to pile up on the e-waste.
@romanista The original is outdated and stuck on 4:3 format from that era. It's a bit different with original NES and SNES games classics, but both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were remastered in HD with widescreen support and released on WiiU. A failed console.
So why would Nintendo refuse to port these excellent remasters to Switch, so a much larger audience can enjoy these HD remakes?
@LastFootnote All modern 4K TV's have built-in upscaling and actually do quite a decent job in making it look better on a large 4K TV.
The problem with the current Switch is that a lot of games have dynamic resolution and drop down to 900p or lower even in docked mode.
So if the Switch 2 version can at least give a consistent 1080p output, then it will still look decent with upscaling on a 4K TV.
Of course it will never look like native 4K. So don't expect miracles.
But like someone else said above, it's strange they don't utilize the DLSS 4K upscaling the Switch 2 is capable of.
Maybe it's still not ready yet on the dev kits and might be patched in later. Fingers crossed.
@OldGamer999 They literally have a widescreen version called "Wind waker HD" , which people have asked for years to have ported to Switch from WiiU.
We also have Twilight Princess HD stuck on the WiiU (with Amiibo support) that should still be ported.
This is just Nintendo becoming more and more a greedy Corporation trying to get people to pay more for NSO + Expansion pack.
I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Nintendo stooped even lower and add WiiU to Expansion Pack of NSO down the line for Switch 2 and then add these HD remakes there. Just to try force people to pay up on high subscription fee.
@stuie1234 Nintendo never produces enough and never learns.
It will be the Switch 1 launch all over again.
Here in my country they only got confirmed two limited shipments ( 5/6 and 11/6 ) and both are sold out already (even with 1 console/customer limit), with no further info when they will get the third shipment. Probably not before July/August.
It was the same with the Switch 1, where it took several months after launch, before they got a new shipment of consoles again.
@OorWullie All XBox Exclusive games come on GamePass day 1. Unlike Sony, where you have to wait at least a year for it to show up on their PS Plus Premium.
So these games pretty much never end up high on any sales chart, since most will play these new games via GamePass rather than buying it at retail.
It's a bit of a CATCH22 for XBox as it doesn't give a realistic picture how good / bad XBox is doing.
I have both XBox Series X and PS5. Hardware wise the XBox Series X is superior and runs much quieter than my PS5, which has a rather audible Coil whine and fans run loud quickly. Same with the Bluray drive that is noisy as hell.
@TheExile285 It's just cosmetics and can easily be ignored. It has no impact on the game whatsoever, unlike the typical Korean games with their cash shops.
@-wc- It's just a disgusting way for Nintendo to force people to spend more money on a Pro 2 controller.
There is literally ZERO reason for the original Switch Pro Controller to not be able to wake the Switch 2 console from sleep with the Home button. Other than Nintendo creating a deliberate frustration to force you into buying a new controller.
BotW was originally developed for the WiiU, but when the WiiU tanked and the launch of the Nintendo Switch accelerated, it switched to a last minute double launch WiiU / Switch launch title.
I think a lot of people forget this, that BotW launched on both WiiU and Switch.
Developers are always working within the constraints of the hardware and they were breaking a lot of new ground with Breath of the Wild.
It was the first truly open world game they had ever done. They incorporated destroyable terrain and objects. Building, spawning and manipulation mechanics.
It was quite a ground breaking game at the time and rightfully won a lot of game prices that year.
The game world is also not empty as you say. There are animals roaming everywhere. Monsters and machines all over the place and various settlements spread over the map. Humans ( traders, patrols, adventurers ) are wandering over paths all over the map.
In a post apocalyptic setting? What is your definition of not empty world? Humans spawning every 10 meters apart? Having a settlement every 100m apart?
Skyrim, another price winning open world game, which I played endlessly. Is per definition not more populated and just as empty per your definition then.
Witcher 3 had some big sprawling cities and some small towns here and there, but had equally very large areas with little to no settlements. I could ride on Roach for quite some time in various areas without seeing any human anywhere. Just some old ruins and (corrupted) animals.
In the end. Developers are limited to what they can spawn on the screen without overloading the console.
Something has to give. They either have to do a lot of duplicate spawning or have very short draw distance where objects and mobs suddenly pop into view.
I think with BotW they made the right compromises with having realistic long draw distance and mob density and also make the world feel alive.
To each their own opinion, but perhaps Open World games are maybe not your thing.
As I have played a lot of Open World games and they are all very similar.

Re: Palworld Dev Announces "Disappointing" Game Changes Resulting From Nintendo's Lawsuit
Re: Palworld Dev Announces "Disappointing" Game Changes Resulting From Nintendo's Lawsuit
Re: Palworld Dev Announces "Disappointing" Game Changes Resulting From Nintendo's Lawsuit
Re: Palworld Dev Announces "Disappointing" Game Changes Resulting From Nintendo's Lawsuit
@Cathalm Then they should do that. Try sue them for plagiarism!
Instead of trying to patent friggin' game mechanics that have been used for decades!
Re: Palworld Dev Announces "Disappointing" Game Changes Resulting From Nintendo's Lawsuit
Re: Palworld Dev Announces "Disappointing" Game Changes Resulting From Nintendo's Lawsuit
@Dr_Lugae LOL! What about TemTem then?
That game is far more of a 1:1 copy than Palworld. The only difference is that they use flat discs instead of spheres.
TemTem has 3 starters, 6 limit, gym battles, etc, etc.
Palworld is a ARK survival kind of game at it's core, just with Pokemon mechanics. So yeah, maybe they should have just changed the shape from spheres to cubes or something.
Would that have been better?
Re: Palworld Dev Announces "Disappointing" Game Changes Resulting From Nintendo's Lawsuit
@Dr_Lugae The way gliding works in Legends/Scarlet/Violet is not unique. Many other RPG and MMORPG games have/had that kind of animal mount gliding before it.
Gliding is gliding. Not that many different ways you can go about it.
Re: Palworld Dev Announces "Disappointing" Game Changes Resulting From Nintendo's Lawsuit
How in earth can Nintendo get away with this?
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Dev Tells Studios "Do Not Underestimate The Physical Edition"
Re: Xbox Branded Handheld Photos Leak, And It's Not Quite As Slick As The Switch 2
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Dev Tells Studios "Do Not Underestimate The Physical Edition"
Re: Ubisoft's Switch 2 Physical Release Of Star Wars Outlaws Is A "Game-Key Card"
Re: Ubisoft's Switch 2 Physical Release Of Star Wars Outlaws Is A "Game-Key Card"
@FortniteJ Astrobot is just a small game.
You cannot compare that to a major AAA release with data size of 80-120 GB.
A lot of these games have a huge day 1 patch at release.
I have both XBOX Series X and PS5, but also a top-end Gaming PC with tons of games on Steam.
So I know. Every single major game release I have played the past 10+ years had a large Day 1 patch. With very few exceptions.
Re: Ubisoft's Switch 2 Physical Release Of Star Wars Outlaws Is A "Game-Key Card"
@jojobar Literally every major studio requires an online connection for their games these days. Even if it's Single player.
Ubisoft, EA, ActiVision, Epic Games, 2K, etc.
They all want to collect your data for Analytics.
Re: Ubisoft's Switch 2 Physical Release Of Star Wars Outlaws Is A "Game-Key Card"
Re: Accessory Manufacturer Genki Responds To Nintendo's Switch 2 Lawsuit
Just my 2 cents.
Re: The Company That "Leaked" Switch 2 Is Being Sued By Nintendo
Re: Accessory Manufacturer Genki Responds To Nintendo's Switch 2 Lawsuit
@Smithicus Every other company does this.
Re: Accessory Manufacturer Genki Responds To Nintendo's Switch 2 Lawsuit
@DennisLofgren Yes I am referring to that website.
No company info. No company location info. No direct contact info. All they have is just a crappy webform.
It clearly says in their FAQ they do not offer refunds nor any returns!
These are all dead giveaways and major red flags in my opinion!
Any reputable company doesn't hide their info, HQ and any contact info.
Re: Accessory Manufacturer Genki Responds To Nintendo's Switch 2 Lawsuit
Re: Accessory Manufacturer Genki Responds To Nintendo's Switch 2 Lawsuit

Re: Accessory Manufacturer Genki Responds To Nintendo's Switch 2 Lawsuit
@Smithicus For what?
Re: Accessory Manufacturer Genki Responds To Nintendo's Switch 2 Lawsuit
@jfp Google translate malfunction more like it. Typical Chinese company translation hickups lol.
This company is just your typical, dime in a dozen, ***** drop ship company selling cheap Chinese garbage and little at that.
Nothing lost on this and not much money to get for Nintendo. They probably just going to declare bankruptcy, before this lawsuit even starts.
Re: Opinion: Switch 2 Finally Gives Star Wars Outlaws A Second Chance
Re: 'Wild Hearts S' Switch 2 Release Detailed By Koei Tecmo
@JohnnyMind You should try Monster Hunter Wilds. It's a much better game if you hated the controls of the earlier games.
In Monster Hunter Wilds you be able to lock onto a monster, which is a great improvement when playing with the difficult slow heavy melee weapons.
Re: Opinion: Switch 2 Finally Gives Star Wars Outlaws A Second Chance
@Medic_alert I would have loved to see Jedi: Fallen Order come to the Switch, to be able to play it on the go.
Really enjoyed that game a lot. Though Jedi: Survivor I did not, simply because it was just more of the same and I just got bored of it. Maybe it also has to do that the story isn't as good as the first game.
Star Wars: Outlaws is a good game, but it basically just feels like an Assassin's Creed game with a Star Wars skin.
The moment the world fully opens up, it becomes a bit of a grind.
Re: Nintendo Today Video Showcases The New Switch 2 Pro Controller
@SirLink Of course they did it on purpose. For the exact same reason as to why phone manufacturers like Apple and Samsung limit key new software features to new phones only, even though the previous gen phones are powerful enough to also use them.
You need to try force people to buy the latest shiny to pile up on the e-waste.
Re: Video: Nintendo Shares More Footage Of Zelda: Wind Waker For Switch Online
@romanista The original is outdated and stuck on 4:3 format from that era.
It's a bit different with original NES and SNES games classics, but both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were remastered in HD with widescreen support and released on WiiU. A failed console.
So why would Nintendo refuse to port these excellent remasters to Switch, so a much larger audience can enjoy these HD remakes?
Re: Atlus Reveals 'RAIDOU Remastered' Switch 2 Performance And Resolution
Re: Video: Nintendo Shares More Footage Of Zelda: Wind Waker For Switch Online
Re: eBay Is Already Flooded With Switch 2 Pre-Orders At Ridiculous Prices
@Alcea What chip shortage? Most of the chip shortages have long been sorted out after COVID pandemic.
It's mostly automotive industry that still had issues.
And the Switch 1 launched years before COVID pandemic, so Nintendo definitely did not had any excuse there.
Re: eBay Is Already Flooded With Switch 2 Pre-Orders At Ridiculous Prices
@stuie1234 Nintendo never produces enough and never learns.
It will be the Switch 1 launch all over again.
Here in my country they only got confirmed two limited shipments ( 5/6 and 11/6 ) and both are sold out already (even with 1 console/customer limit), with no further info when they will get the third shipment. Probably not before July/August.
It was the same with the Switch 1, where it took several months after launch, before they got a new shipment of consoles again.
Re: UK Charts: Are People Just Waiting For Switch 2 Now? Sure Seems Like It
@nhSnork That's not surprising when it currently sells for next to nothing. It's like 70-80% discounted currently.
Re: UK Charts: Are People Just Waiting For Switch 2 Now? Sure Seems Like It
@OorWullie All XBox Exclusive games come on GamePass day 1.
Re: Diablo 4 On Switch 2? It's "Something To Look At" Says Series Manager
@TheExile285 It's just cosmetics and can easily be ignored. It has no impact on the game whatsoever, unlike the typical Korean games with their cash shops.
Re: Tired Of Pro Controller Charge Times? The Switch 2 Model Is A Huge Step Up
@-wc- It's just a disgusting way for Nintendo to force people to spend more money on a Pro 2 controller.
There is literally ZERO reason for the original Switch Pro Controller to not be able to wake the Switch 2 console from sleep with the Home button.
Other than Nintendo creating a deliberate frustration to force you into buying a new controller.
Re: Marathon Isn't Currently Planned For Switch 2, Unsurprisingly
@FreasurePlanten Bungie is no longer independent. They are part of Sony now.
Re: Marathon Isn't Currently Planned For Switch 2, Unsurprisingly
Sony and Nintendo are bitter rivals!
Bungie is no longer independent and part of Sony, so none of their games will come to the Switch / Switch 2.
Re: Opinion: In A Post BOTW And Elden Ring World, Xenoblade Chronicles X Is Still Daunting
@Spider-Kev What excuses are there?
