@ObeseChihuahua2 I actually bought one for the splitter and cables alone. The cables are long enough to let you connect to your Switch across the room and then plug in your phone so you get all through the same headset.
@HamatoYoshi In my opinion the Switch is amazing in theory but disappointing in reality due to the subpar build quality. Drift issues, connection issues and so on. Situation is much better with the Lite so maybe it’s been improved in later revisions of the Switch but I’m not gonna buy a 2nd one if there’s no added benefit, like a bigger screen or better performance.
It’s impressive numbers, especially considering that 2020 was a rather meh yeah in terms of new games for the Switch.
That said, if they didn’t beat the PS4 in its final year of sales as current gen, it would be quite disappointing. Doubt PS5 will pick up enough momentum to surpass in 2021, especially since they can’t make them fast enough, so confident Nintendo will rule 2021 as well.
But I wonder if they can keep up the momentum into 2022, unless they have a better game year in 2021 vs 2020.
Don't really get the point here. It looks like a controller?
If anything, they took the design from the Steelseries Nimbus which predates the Switch Pro Controller. And I'm sure there's other even older ones with similar design.
@Benhop07 Math's not your thing? Taking the UK pricing as an example, a voucher costs £84 for two, so that's £42 each.
Most new Nintendo games, like Animal Crossing, costs £49.99. That's a 16% discount if you use a voucher. And you can use it for preorders giving you a nice discount on day one.
Like anything else, they also award gold points for further discounting, but that's just like any game on the eShop.
Nintendo is constantly so odd. At one said they are so infuriating in how they manage family setups and having two Switches. Then they do stuff like this, which is great.
@Savino it’ll never come to that. If they win, Nintendo will pay them a royalty and that’s it.
The US patent system is far to arbitrary and the system needs to change (not that it will). But under current rules I do think Gamevice have a case so can’t blame them to trying.
Last game I bought for the Switch was Luigis mansion. So that’s about 5 months ago and with no interest in Animal Crossing I really need a nice Direct to bring some attention.
Honestly don’t see any problems with these rules. I mean, they aren’t extravagant in any way - show off our game if you want but videos should be about the game and nothing else. Oh, and warn for spoilers and no end game content.
Just seems like common courtesy to me.
Maybe the “no capture cards” are a bit stingy but there’s ways to work around that.
Overall, I prefer Nintendo’s approach - cloud save and games exclusive to the service. Never been a fan of the “free games” per month approach as I don’t think I’ve played any of the games offered with PS+ that I didn’t already own.
That said, Nintendo really need to improve the quality of the actual service. Cloud saves for all games (all other platforms can fix it) and latency is just an embarrassment.
It’s brilliant from a design perspective and usability (of the features it has). But it is missing some basic functionality: groups, chat and for me the most dire fault - no security.
@Spudtendo @Zequio I think it’s great that they have a lot of support for local coop. But why has it to be either or?
In a life with kids and a lot of other adult commitments there just not enough time to gather up and play together, but with online coop this gets a lot easier.
A brilliant feature PlayStation has had it for years, and Steam added this week, is that they allow you to play any coop game online, using streaming. Not saying that’s the path for Nintendo (would be too taxing for Switch) but it is a nice feature for us with limited time (or friends far away)
@KitsuneNight I get that. IMHO it's the best of this generation, alongside BotW, but it is a massive game and I doubt I'll get it for the Switch given that I've played it for far too long already on the PS4
@HappyMaskedGuy lol, this is exactly what I mean. You say the game looks horrible. Which is fine, you are entitled to your own opinion. But you did post you here, on a comment section. Unless you are familiar with the concept, that does invite a debate, so while you didn't specifically ask for my opinion, it does mean that I or others with different opinions to you may counter with comments. And so far, your "defence" of your opinion has been with contempt and saltiness. That's what I mean with the drama.
Again, I we are all entitled to an opinion. But if you re-read your own posts they are coming across a bit strong and more as your word is fact and everyone else is wrong. Just think about this in the future and we'll all have a more fruitful discussions.
@carlos82 A bit OT, but the cell CPU if the PS3 was a technological marvel really, but much harder to work with. But when a studio completely mastered it (like Naughty Dog had to for LoU), the technical gain of the PS4s X86 architecture wasn't as great as you'd imagine, even if it was 7 years newer hardware.
@Quarth And this will continue for 120+ hours. Very few, if any, side-quests feels like filler content.
@zufa86 There's certainly a risk of getting lost in the countless side-quests in Witcher as well. It is possible to rush through the main story, but they are the some most well-written side-quests in any game I've played.
@HappyMaskedGuy Frankly, you are being a bit of drama queen aren't ya? Everyone who disagrees with you isn't a personal insult to you.
As to the graphics looking "horrible", well that's your opinion. They certainly look worse than on PS or Xbox, don't think anyone will argue against that. But considering the hardware limitations of the Switch, it looks quite nice in mine, and many others opinion, including industry people like Barlog who I blindly (since I don't know you personally) gonna wager knows a bit more about making games than you.
@sanderev I don't mind him using my account, as long as he can use his profile (like I can now on my Switch).
Sounds like it will work as well as I want it to. The required internet connection won't be an issue for us since he use it either at our house, car or cabin and all three has internet connections.
@sanderev He doesn't have an account as he's younger than 12 so Nintendo won't let him, so he's piggybacking on mine with a separate child user profile on the Switch.
It's the just primary system thingy that confuses me. My current Switch would be "my" system and the one I use to travel with, but the guide says I need to untick it as my primary system. Is that just during setup?
So if I get a Switch for my son, who's a minor and have a "kid" account tied to my parental account, that's ok then?
And which console should be listed as primary? He'll only play at home or where there's an internet account, so assume mine then? But I still need to switch during setup process? Got a bit confused by that part.
Don't care about playing the same game at the same time, but I do own all games digitally.
Wonder if this can be tied into promotions? Like, a while back you got a year free with a Twitch sub, but since I already had a family sub, that wasn't applicable for me.
I for one love this idea. Anything that can get people more active and turn exercising into fun games is a boon in my book.
As for the price, honestly exactly what I expected it considering it’s software and hardware. As for the ring, it’s more than just plastic as there’s at least something in it to detect on how much you are pressuring the ring - don’t think it can capture all that with the joy-con gyro.
Personally don't need folders, alphabetical is enough for me, which it has. Got hundreds of games on PS4 and the only folder I have is for the PSVR games.
But they desperately need to fix the voice chat/party/chat options. While folders is nice to have and help organise, the lack of a proper group function is limiting how you can experience games.
This is really the way to do it. And I think, especially for a game that's been out for a long time, it can be a blocker if you can't transfer saves. Now people can take their 40 hour game save and continue on the road, without having to restart.

Bloomberg usually has quite high credibility when it comes to tech rumours. Only write if they have reliable sources.
Re: Random: Did You Know About Nintendo Switch's ZL/ZR Battery Feature?
@HotGoomba indeed. So it’s nice to have options.
Re: Random: Did You Know About Nintendo Switch's ZL/ZR Battery Feature?
@HotGoomba it’s not about something else showing, it’s about not having unnecessary bits of information on the screen.
Re: Random: Did You Know About Nintendo Switch's ZL/ZR Battery Feature?
@HotGoomba as show superfluous information cluttering the UI? No thanks. Just want it to show percentage just when I want it to.

@sanderev Hazelight isn't an EA studio. They just have a publishing partnership, on a per-game basis.
