@Juma009 It is worth noting that this'll likely be akin to the remasters on PC and Xbox one, which seem to smooth over much of the technical woes of the originals. May make the difference

Yeah this game is sublime, I'm not always big on roguelikes but this one won me over. Platforming + shooting mechanics are so clever and unique. Also another one to add to the flip grip roster

Transformed was amazing! It's easily my favourite kart racer not to feature Mario alongside Diddy Kong Racing. It's such a tightly designed racer with super satisfying powersliding, not to mention it being such a touching tribute to Sega's legacy

Really nice comprehensive review overall, love the history of the SF games in particular. This bit bothered me though:

"It's also possible to apply a CRT scanline filter to the image, or an 'Arcade' filter which adds a 'crosshatch' look to the visuals. Neither of these really works all that well, so we found that turning it off completely is much preferable"

Could that not have been elaborated on as to why those options do not "work all that well?" That's incredibly vague, the visual options are important for re-releases of CRT era games. As someone who usually prefers scanlines this just leaves me wondering if this is the reviewer's preference or if the option is implemented poorly.

What I wouldn't give to see the sales figures of Double Dungeons on Wii U ._.

This is 60fps though compared to the previous M&L 3DS games, so the lack of 3D effect is more than worth the trade off for my money

In general I do like the style they've gone with as stated in the review, though am sad to see a few cases where they changed stylised Koopas/Toads to more generic ones

@Anti-Matter It works on any Switch game that lets you use a dpad on pro controller So Zelda/Snipperclips/ARMS/Splatoon 2 wouldn't work, but Sonic Mania/Street Fighter/Mario Kart 8/Namco Museum/Wonder Boy/Kamiko among others will be compatible

It's a shame they didn't add Home and Screenshot buttons, ah well. I have the Wii U version and it's my favourite way to play 2D games on Switch, so it's worth picking up!

I'll likely grab this off the US eshop as long as the emulation is up to snuff, I do desperately wish Pac-Man Vs was online but I'm still looking forward to playing it in multiplayer

Really don't think they can be commended enough for hitting 60 frames per second, that can't have been easy given the exploratory nature of the game's design. So glad they prioritised that I don't ever want a new Mario at 30fps!

Yeah the lack of online is a dealbreaker for me unfortunately, at least at full price. When there's a sale I imagine I'll grab several of the Neo Geo games on here

Aww I suppose the series was always going to be niche in the west, but to not get a top 40 showing is so sad and undeserved.

Is a shame as I like playing the game as a passenger, but certainly understandable given the safety concerns.

Fantastic interview, seems like a down to earth dude Love the Layton games, and I think his voice is a big part of what makes the character so likeable.

What a shame...I actually used some of these quite a bit way back when; everybody votes was a guilty pleasure of sorts, ha.

Any good will from the generally excellent direct video is currently drowned out by the annoyance of PAL Wii U VC in 50Hz. Absolutely disgusting that this is sill seen as acceptable, completely ruins one of the most exciting features of the console for me. Shame on you Nintendo

WARNING TO PAL GAMERS(ie those in Europe or Australia)

The version of Balloon Fight up is the dreaded 50Hz version, which means borders and slower gameplay all over again. I suggest you don't buy it and fire an email to Nintendo to show that this is unacceptable in this day and age, especially considering the 3DS VC is in 60Hz.
