Urk... I've never really known what to think of Spinball. It's not a terrible game, but it just feels quite tacky and lacking in the usual Sonic charm. It can also be needlessly frustrating at times. I still quite like it in a way, but probably not worth £5.60. That shall be saved for Sonic 2 =) (I can't believe I'm going to buy that game again...)
Is the PAL version really that much slower though? It seems to run very smoothly, and I can't really see a big difference between it and Youtube videos. The borders are huge though
But yes, an absolutely fantastic game, the first VC game I downloaded, and it remains my favourite I even liked the GBA version, but I did play that before this.
It is great indeed The VC's underrated NES game, very worth the 500 points. And yes, it does have infinite continues, after the game over screen (which came up very frequently for me >_>), you're sent back to the title screen, but pressing start brings you to the level you were just on.

But as I say, it's brilliant. Difficult though, the relief I had completing it was a lot to say the least!

Re: Splatterhouse
Isn't this meant to be mega violent? We may have the VC's first 16+ game
