I am shocked no one is complaining about not getting prime 2 or 3 announced. I was kind of hoping to play those before I played prime 4. I suppose they could release them before 2025.
What a great direct. 10/10. It’s interesting and I’m curious if the older generation like myself enjoyed this direct versus the one in September or not. Or maybe it’s just a preference on types of games. Anyways cheers to all.
Having a kid who can walk into the room this is much appreciated. When they fall asleep in the night and randomly wake up I can’t always hear them so this is very helpful. I’m happy it doesn’t take away from other peoples experience either.
@calbeau not at all, we are just a breed that typically buys a game, and doesn’t buy all the DLC extra add-ons they like to charge for. So we are not their main focus for sure. They make a lot more money typically with multiplayer games.
EA deserves 100% of the roast they get. But I also think anything they tweet can be taken the wrong way because they are a company people like to hate on.
Very tough situation. I won’t judge until I hear it or see a trailer, but the only pick I really can’t see working out is Donkey Kong. No way Rogan can pull that off. Of course they probably didn’t make the movie for the people that play the games. If they did they wouldn’t have cared about such big names for the voices. They would’ve used the ones we are familiar with.
I think all the pessimistic comments forgot one of the most pessimistic outlooks-there will be no direct. On a serious note I hope Nintendo gives us something new to look forward to.
@Kevember you sir win comment of the day. Yes I don’t know why we always expect Nintendo to deliver so highly…F-Zero, new Donkey Kong, Zelda remake, New Zelda, Wario Land etc. Let’s just know it will be to the masses.
Not sure if they still have the rights or not, but I’d love to see Oni remade. I always feel that was an underrated game. I think it would fit incredibly well on the switch too.
@Tourtus you can’t always trust the articles that Google pushes or gets paid to push. Doing research is not as easy as “googling” for one second like @klabanus said. So take with a grain of salt.
@JeanPaul I know, I never had the chance to play those back in the game cube days so I’d love a crack at them on the switch. Beefed up resolution or fps would be a bonus.
@nessisonett if that’s a joke of slight sarcasm against the fact that they bought activision but this is what triggered you to want Xbox, may I say well done sir.
@kategray or could you name also be spelled kate grey? Horrible joke about how there are different spellings of gray. Anyways just dropping by since you gave me a good laugh with the “delaying light”. Is that a subtitle or what do you call those phrases after the title of the article?
@-Juice- this is spot on. People view others less and less as human. It’s gotten to the point where people will cast aside a whole section of the population just because of their beliefs. I hope people start to think more critically and deeply otherwise we are in for a rough patch.
@nessisonett great point and thanks for the context. It is unfortunate that some peoples idea of funny is immature. I hope you are able to play online again to more enjoyment some day.
@nessisonett sorry to hear you get such harsh treatment based on your orientation. Out of curiosity how do they know? I’ve been called all sorts of slurs myself, but I figured they use that against everyone.
I know I’m a minority in my stance. But this just proves the internet is looking to be upset about something. Should they be included-probably. But if you leave a company and someone takes over your role they are going to get the credit when it’s finished. That’s the case for everything. I think it’s a bit of an over reaction to protest buying the game so vehemently over some people that quit along the way. These are just my thoughts and you’re entitled to yours as well.
Nintendo could reduce this by offering many many more of their retro games. If an online community can do it with no money but pure dedication I’m certain Nintendo could do it as well. Why they don’t is another question. Please note I’m too scared to use Roms or download Roms so I own games physically at a painfully expensive cost. I wish I could play road rash, Mickey Mouse (genesis) on the go. Still no way for me to do that. I understand why people go the route they do.
Nice to see some different opinion on “soapbox” as most have come from one source lately. Not that it’s bad just refreshing to see another perspective. Although this shouldn’t be a soapbox because I’m craving a motion control sport game as well! Recently hooked up the Wii U to play some of them. Wish I could do it on my switch.
@Steel76 if you had a copy of earthbound would you sell it for $5 so someone else could play it? What does that make you if you don’t? My point being they aren’t scumbags, sometimes items go up in value because they are rare.
Since when does Nintendo life have ads before their videos???? Looks like my time is running out here. Also, they really need a switch pro to thoroughly enjoy games like this on the go. Docked may not be too bad.
People not understanding basic English such as the friend is giving him the old game boy since he got the new one. I worry about our future. The real atrocity is throwing away a game boy when the mother couldn’t afford one and it being a gift.
@Octane not to be combative, but it’s very hard to make money. Most r&d is done for the OG switch but adding something like a different screen requires a lot of research. Millimeters make a difference in something fitting or not. The back stand, getting the right supplier, paying for the mold, machine setup etc some of those are 10 grand a pop. That’s assuming everything runs smoothly with the supplier. So while it’s easy to look at unit cost of additional parts it does not include a lot of the costs Nintendo already incurred. Lastly they are going to need money to fund their future switches or systems and that’s what profit should include.
Hmmm I’ve never given it much thought. I’d say let the creators create the games as they wish and with all these indies those give the options of being more peaceful. In the LOU2 I wish I had the option to kill at the end as I was able to the entire game.
I do miss simpler times, the most frustrating thing back then was wasting a weekend on a bad game because you rented the wrong one. I wonder if someone could set up like a store that digitally lets you rent games.
@Cr4shMyCar while capitalism can provide a pathway for companies like Activision and EA, there are also many good examples of it creating art, just look at the success stories of many indies.
The problem with GameStop is there old sales mentality. When you go into the store they always ask about “game protection” even if you’re getting a cartridge. How many of you have broken a cartridge and needed to buy the protection/insurance? Many would rather buy online and not be asked what games they want to preorder, if they want insurance etc. it just screams desperate for “add-on” sales which are the definition of a dying company. Look at pier-1 always asking if you wanted their credit cards. Most customers like to buy something and not be pressured into buying more. Also I went to buy a Nintendo Online 1 year family card and they didn’t have any. It’s GameStop they are supposed to have any and all things game related. That’s just my two cents. Sorry for the long post.

Physical with game on cards and this is an instant buy
Re: TMNT: Mutants Unleashed Comes Out Of Its Shell This October
Looks pretty cool, although they might want to slow the amount of TMNT games coming out.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Castlevania: Legacy Of Darkness

Re: Gallery: Here's Another Look At Pikmin 4, Out On Nintendo Switch This July

Re: Feature: Our Predictions For The February 2023 Nintendo Direct
Super Mario Galaxy 2 would be awesome, original trilogy of resident evil, and the Metroid prime trilogy would be more than enough for me.

Re: Chris Pratt Has Seen The Super Mario Movie Teaser, Says He's "Blown Away"
The real question is, did Chris Pratt say highly things about all his movies or only ones he believed in. If not I think we can take his word for it.
Re: Pac-Man World: Re-Pac Frame Rate, Resolution, And File Size For Switch Seemingly Revealed
I may get bombarded for this but we really do need an updated switch with higher power. If not for Nintendo games, at least third party games.
Re: Hideki Kamiya: Nintendo Hasn't Ever Asked Platinum To Cover Up Bayonetta
Also too many comments about censorship. If you have the option to toggle on/off I don’t think that’s censorship at all.

Re: Switch OLED Upgrades Reportedly Cost Nintendo "Around $10 More Per Unit"
@Octane not to be combative, but it’s very hard to make money. Most r&d is done for the OG switch but adding something like a different screen requires a lot of research. Millimeters make a difference in something fitting or not. The back stand, getting the right supplier, paying for the mold, machine setup etc some of those are 10 grand a pop.
