Z-A feels awkward without voice acting... the scenes set it up like they would be speaking and then don't... Heck even just if the did only Japanese voice acting it'd be better...
But this is the Pokemon company we are talking about they could easy fully voice their games in multiple languages... they sell well enough for it.
Heck even indie developers can do voice acting... Pokemon certainly has the budget for it...
@GravyThief It is, and it would be better if it had the data on it like Playstation. Again the issue is storage though a switch cartridge can only hold 32GB or 64GB for the Switch 2 where a PS4 disc holds 50GB and a PS5 100GB.
If its a large game there could be problems with that method... or need multiple cards to carry the full game... And then yeah the Switch 2's native storage space isn't a lot to work with such a method... and would easily be filled...
There isn't an easy answer to the problem here... with hardware limitations and the limitations of designing your own cartridge...
I mean I don't really get the whole game key card controversy... Like Playstation does the same thing mostly. The games data is copied to the system for better loading and the disc merely acts as a physical license to play it. Only difference the keycard didn't have any game data with it.
The Switch 2 game cards have a low read speed compared to it being on an SD card or on the system itself. Download only is the only way to fix it aside from upgrading the game cards, and therefore increasing prices for developers and consumers...
There's not much else they can do unfortunately...
Okay I maybe dumb but I heard the official Switch 2 dock has a fan but I mean is that true? I literally don't see any fan ports in the Switch 2 dock... its just two solid walls... with no openings... Like sure its vented out the bottom but that's is...
Where is the fan?
Edit: Okay I looked it up I guess the fan does nothing for the console itself and is just there to cool the dock which is why there's no fan ports in the Switch's housing area... In other words its cooled as well as any 3rd party dock would do then...
@LilMuku I'm not sure what you mean... You don't like that the series was made into 3 games and wanted it to be one?
A lot of series are like that. I also play the Trails series and they always split the story into many games because its too big.
Frankly I'm surprised they're charging so little for 3 games that aren't even very old... Ryza 3 was just 2 years ago and now they're upgrading it and selling it for less than it originally was.
@shining_nexus I grew up playing the old Harvest Moon games and have always been a fan since. I really like the genre, I know the whole Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon split up thing but I'd love it if we have two companies putting out quality games.
You know like that cow that was supposed to come with Winds Of Anthos but never did... I mean a standee is easier to do but still, brings back bad memories of last time.
Not sure if I'll pick it up or not yet... I'd like to see Natsume redeem themselves but relaunching old games isn't how they are going to do it. Might just pick it up to support them and hope their future gets better.
I don't pay much attention to the game awards, nothing I've even played ever gets nominated or anything I'd be interested in. The most I do is nominate my favourites on Steam.
I'm glad its going to be a proper game I liked the world and story of Resleriana but the gacha elements ruin everything for me. I'm looking forward to this game it'd be cool to explore the world of Resleriana without mobile game mechanics.
What I mean when I call it empty is the lack of trees and forests. The environment of the world seems severely lacking in plant life, especially based on the topography of the area. Most of Paldea feels like an open prairie which is rather dull to wander through.
It was fun and added a lot of good mechanics and quality of life fixes. But with the games performance issues that were never addressed and rather empty world it feels undeserved.
I've bought from Anbernic before and I've noticed their communications are poorly translated, that's probably all the whole "minimal drift" thing is about.
The controller looks good though, a standard Nintendo layout would be better. If we could swap the physical buttons it'd be great.
I totally agree a lot of the older pokemon could use a stat rebalance and even some need to get new abilities/hidden abilities. And expanding movepools wouldn't hurt either.
I mean Vaporeon is one of my favourite pokemon, but they are simply outclassed competitively by other bulky water mons because of the shallow movepool and not really having the best abilities either. I'm sure there are many other examples of these problems.
Also they could use it as a chance to rework some pokemon who they made really awful shinies for and make them look cool.
Like they really put these things out fast the 4 just dropped in January and now they're talking about a 5!?
It looks really good but I don't see a need to upgrade from my new 4 pro to a 5. I can already run anything I want to anyways and what you can't run you can't partially because no ones made android apps capable of running it. So even if the 5 can say hit PS3 specs you won't be able to run PS3 games anyways...
I actually dropped Three Houses myself (only Fire Emblem I didn't beat...). It wasn't even a gameplay issue it was fun and all, I just got to the point I wanted to kill off my house leader myself because he became so obnoxious...

Re: Nintendo's Pokémon Catching-Related Patent Has Been Rejected In Japan
Good ambiguous patents only hurt the gaming industry.
Here's hoping they reject the rest of their nonsensical patents aimed towards taking down Palworld.

Re: Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack Announced For Switch 2 And Switch
I certainly wasn't expecting it when I seen it this morning. But I'm looking forward too it, I'll gladly buy it.
I own the ultimate edition of all three games on Switch, PS4 and PC at this point just to support the series.
I really love Atelier. So more is always good.

But why though...?
Re: Poll: How Many Hours Have You Spent In Mario Kart World So Far?
I haven't played much, I'm not overly into racing games myself. I only got it to play with my sister, nephew and niece.
I'd say its an average Mariokart experience, nothing really special here.
Re: Video: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Side-By-Side Gameplay Comparison (Switch & Switch 2)
It looks the same too me...
Maybe marginally better on the Switch 2 at best.

Re: Talking Point: Our 2025 Pokémon Presents Predictions - What Are You Hoping For?
We all know 90% of the presentations just going to be mobile games...
The rest will be a tiny bit about Z-A. I don't think anything else is coming as much as I'd like to see some more remakes.
Re: Rumour: Switch 2 Game Cases Might Take Up More Space On Your Shelf
A yes just what I wanted more emptiness...
I mean the case is already pretty huge considering the actual size of the cartridge.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2: Everything We Know About Nintendo's Next Console
Please Nintendo end the daily rumour mill and just announce the console already...
Re: PSA: If You're Into Switch 2 'Leaks', It's The Wild West Out There Right Now
I swear there's literally a new leak about it every single day anymore...
By the time Nintendo actually announces it everyone's just going to write it off as another leak...
