Re: Close To 100 Link Designs Were Considered For Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, Devs Explain Blue Tunic

Ibrahim77X

@Dualmask The Smash games spent two games in a row mainly representing Twilight Princess, so I'm guessing for Ultimate they wanted a chance for one of every fan-favorite Zelda game to shine, in addition to the latest one.
BotW for Link
WW for Toon Link
ALttP for Zelda
OoT/MM for Ganondorf and Young Link
Strangely enough, Sheik is the only one who still represents TP even though she never appeared in that game (though her Sheikah Armor is based on BotW). I wasn't the biggest fan of the change, but after some thought I started to appreciate it. Especially because Zelda is sooo cute!

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto and Bill Trinen Explain Some of the Key Principles That Define Nintendo Games

So this is how to describe the "weight" I feel when playing characters in Nintendo games. I feel this especially in Smash Bros. When I'm DK I FEEL like the strong, but fast ape he is. When I'm Kirby I FEEL like a light but powerful puff. It's hard for me to play Bayonetta because I FEEL like the tall, spindly dame she is and that makes it difficult for me to control her. I agree with @JaxonH that Nintendo is second to none with this kind of thing.

Re: Talking Point: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS Set a Standard That'll Be Tough to Follow

What can Sakurai-san do next? Take a well-deserved vacation. To the people telling him he should add more characters or make a new game, NO. He just got done making the biggest Smash yet. That's it. Let's be happy and grateful to Sakurai for Smash 4. His monologue at the end of the final direct about all of Smash 4's stats are so we don't ask for yet another one. We should give him a break and let him make what he wants to make from now on.

Re: GAME Confirms Shovel Knight amiibo

Ibrahim77X

@NintendoFan64 Maybe that's because it's a Shovel Knight brand amiibo and not a Smash Bros. brand amiibo. It's probably too expensive to make a Shovel Knight amiibo for both Shovel Knight and Smash. That or I'm grasping at straws because I really want the rumor about Shovel Knight being in Smash to be true.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Approach to Transforming Franchises Clashes With Fan Expectations

My problem is not with the spin-offs. Spin-offs are fine, and I'm sure these will be great. My problem is that spin-offs were pretty much the only games Nintendo announced. There are very limited games that give people reason to buy a Wii U (off the top of my head, only Smash, Splatoon, and Mario 3D World come to mind). Nintendo should be announcing reasons to buy a Wii U and these spin-offs should be on the side. i.e on the Nintendo site's E3 page, big games should be larger and games like Zelda Triforce Heroes and Metroid Prime FF should be smaller.

My other problem is that there was too much emphasis on games Nintendo already announced like Yoshi, Mario Maker, etc.

If Nintendo can't make anything big right now because of the NX, that's fine. But I'd be less dissapointed if this Digital Event was marketed as a Direct because after last year, Digital Event equates to awesome games being announced to me.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's E3 Digital Event?

Ibrahim77X

@kyuubikid213 Obviously this isn't the only tie Nintendo announces games but it's supposed to be the BIGGESST one because it usually is and it is usually hyped to be. People are dissapointed every year but if this many are that's how you know there is a serious problem.
