"Games we never thought of wanting"? I'm calling false advertisement on that one. There's a reason we never thought of wanting some of these games they announced. Cause WE DON'T WANT an Animal Crossing board game or a half-assed 3DS Metroid Game or a Legend of Zelda: Three Swords that looks boring as hell.

@TheHumbleFellow Star Fox isn't the problem. The problem is Star Fox is basically the ONLY NEW game announced that wasn't mediocre. That's what I and lots of other people think, anyway.

The battle animations in this game look so quick and fluid compared to Awakening... I REALLY hope this won't be a New 3DS exclusive.

I love watching the most OP characters being bested by LUIGI who's doing NOTHING.

I only got one match in and I didn't know about the extension. So yeah, that's awesome.

Nintendo produces one...two...ELEVEN! Eleven extremely well-made character reveal trailers and people still want to complain that this opening cinematic is lazy. I think those people are just acting spoiled. This opening is very good. No original cinematic like Melee? Too bad. Suck it up and move on. You can't expect Nintendo to bend over their backs for you every time with this kind of thing. Making just one of these has to be very expensive. If Brawl's intro was fine you shouldn't be complaining about a new and arguably better version of it.

@faint I'm a Nintendo guy, so mentioning the PS3 is irrelevant. I think it's kind of screwing them over because we have 3DS first, then a price drop, then XL, which meant people paying so they could get the definitive version of the 3DS. After that, they said no more new models. One year later, 2DS. Now this. Another handheld that will make people have to pay (some AGAIN) so they can get features that should've been on the 3DS to begin with.

People think that this is more of Nintendo screwing over their customers (and in a way, they are) but I still think this 3DS is awesome and I want it,

@MeloMan I'm with you man. I can't be disappointed about these being download-only because I'm too busy kicking myself. I was 10 COINS AWAY FROM PLATINUM on June 29. I considered taking a "Do you plan on buying this?" survey so I could make Platinum, but I decided to wait for my next post=play survey. I thought the Gold and Platinum thing started all over on July 1, but I was wrong, and the next day I my mistake. And the worst part is the one year I don't make Platinum is the one year they have games only and they're GOOD GAMES. The Gold game are so LAME.

This was my first VGA/VGX also. I looked forward to it soooo badly! I was so disappointed in the sloppy order of this "awards show." I thought this was how they all went and everyone enjoyed it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that this was just 3 hours of nonsense with some awards thrown in.

It could be that third Sonic game they teased for SEGA's partnership with Nintendo...

Now I almost forgive Nintendo for the whole cancelling Swapnote thing. Almost.

Right, OK. Paid DLC could "ruin the worldview of the franchise." But paying to transfer your Pokemon to X and Y (something that used to be free mind you) is A-ok!

I like Nintendo is slowly confirming characters to build up hype for the game.

Why do we still have cries? Can't we have the anime chatter? (ex. pika pika?) In the trailers showing off Pokemon-Amie I hear Pikachu sound like he does in the anime!

With every trailer, I get more and more excited for this game.

I like touch-mobile games as much as the next guy, but kids these days are WAY too obsessed with them. Kids are forgetting about and forgetting how to play the REAL, GOOD games. They're too used to touch. It used to be all Mario and Pokemon. Now it's all Angry Birds and Temple Run. In the next 5 years, they won't even know what a Nintendo is. It's a shame...
