Re: Wii Storage Solution Solved - Finally A Use For The SD Card Slot!

Ian_Daemon

Wow, the Wii Update 4.0 is long overdue and a welcome sight. Although I'm more excited about the possibilities than the actual outcome, it's a step in the right direction. (I think it's a big step, but that's just me.)

Maybe now we'll see the "Arch Rivals" arcade classic! "Arch Rivals" was the most not-like-Basketball "Basketball" game I ever played.

We can hope...

Re: Review: Bit.Trip: Beat (WiiWare)

I grabbed Bit.Trip: Beat last night and had a good time with it. It's a good game, but harder than I expected... I guess it has a steep learning curve. Aside from that, my only complaint is that the "beats" occasionally get "lost" by blending into the background.

Re: Japan to get the Classic Controller Pro

Ian_Daemon

This new CC is pretty useless. Maybe if someone doesn't have ANY classic controller this would be OK, but this is basically the same thing as the original Classic Controller with that handle-add-on-thing stuck on it. (and if I wanted bulk, I'd take the GameCube controller over this)

@ Starwolf_UK: "Anyway, this game has to have the weirdest implination of fiendly fire I've seen in an FPS 9usually its a case of do you hurt them or not?"

I think this implementation of friendly-fire is an awesome idea. It could virtually eliminate "spawn camping"!

Re: USA VC Update: Sonic Chaos

"My guess is that Sonic & knuckles won't hit the VC til Sega/Nintendo work out how theyr'e gonna get sonic 3 + knuckles on there."

@ouenben:
You think they're working on it? They don't care. S&K will be released if something accidentally happens while Nintendo is working on something else.

I wouldn't mind seeing "Ikari Warriors", but I'm not holding my breath.

Re: Niki - Rock 'n' Ball

I downloaded this last night and it isn't bad. (1) The whole initial 'menu' thing (picking a level and starting a game) is confusing because you just seem to start playing without warning and (2) the 'jump' physics take a lot of getting used to because they're nothing like Mario's (which platformers emulate). However, considering all of my gripes, this title isn't bad overall. Interesting and worth the 500 points.

Re: Club Nintendo Comes To North America

Ian_Daemon

It took me a while yesterday to log-in and connect my My Nintendo account with my Club Nintendo account. I think Nintendo's servers were just overwhelmed initially with everyone trying to access it at the same time.

(edit) That website is buggy as heck. I'll wait a few days and then try again.
