They end the series with this? Why? Did the "new idea guy" quit so they decided to just re-do an earlier game? This is not "coming full circle" or whatever spin they'll try to put on it. Very disappointing.
Fall 2010: Delayed, Feb 2011: Delayed, Mar 2011: Delayed, Apr 2011: New release date I'm getting tired HVS, make a GOOD product ON TIME. We went through this crap with The Conduit and it was generic offline, buggy and hacked online!
These videos tell you nothing. I knew little about Okami before and I still only know that it's about a dog or a wolf or something running around Japan. Okamiden changes it up by making the gameplay video really tiny and only using one of the two screens.
"GoldenEye's Success 'Proves Core Games Sell on Wii'" <sarcasm> Yes, and it has nothing to do with its name or perceived nostalgia. </sarcasm> Get real.
I personally really dug the Prime series of games. Other M was just so much different...control-wise. Flipping the controller around was an interesting idea (loved it in "Paper Mario"), but was too slow for some of the fights here. I tired of being hit by enemies because the game couldn't keep up with me or didn't give me enough time to move the controller and quickly aim. Personal opinion.
UFOURIA is surprisingly cool. (and extremely odd when you stop to think about what's really happening)
For instance - I can't over the fact that (at points) I'm playing as a ghost with sunglasses. His special attack features him pulling his sunglasses down at which point his EYES fly out their sockets, float around the screen killing every enemy, and then float back to his eye sockets at which points he puts his sunglasses back up.
I thought I was going to pass on this "simple NES Metroid clone", but this is easy and (when you really think about it) friggin' weird! I love it. I'm so glad this is on the Virtual Console.

@reploidx "I don't know where someone could have been stuck for an hour like some reviewers said."
Sometimes the game would come to a complete halt and (in first person view) you'd have to "notice" some small detail in the environment. Man those parts were the worst. I hated those parts.
...And of course this disregards the events of the Metroid Prime games. Other M takes place BEFORE them.
...EVERY argument that calls the game sexist simply because a woman must get permission from a man is foolish. The complainers would never make it in the armed forces...where you have to follow your commanding officers' orders! Yes I know Samus is a bounty hunter, but in this case she's rejoining the ranks of the federation.
@JimLad (18): You've hit the nail on the head there. Bots kept me playing Quake 2 for years! Maps and vehicles were EXTREMELY fun in Battlefield 2. Customizable characters and game modes would be cool too although I don't have a personal reference. Plenty of different weapons would be useful, but less important for multiplayer.
@TokenGirl: The Balance Board is one of the most supported. Some things like the SNES Super Scope, SNES Multitap and GCN Gameboy player were useful, but sometimes hard to find. What about support for the DK Bongos? The GCN 56k Modem anyone?
Hopefully the WiiWare version will have more responsive controls. The online version was extremely laggy when I just tried it. (Sometimes the controls were totally unresponsive, but this may have been to a 'net connection.) The game seem to run fine, it's just the controls that wouldn't work half the time.
So is NL still going with "colour" when the trailer specifically says "color"? I figured since Sega made a decision, people wouldn't revert to regional discrepancies.
"Why would you want to play a FPS with a controller that makes it less intuitive to play?"
They're clearly trying to rope in 360/PS3 gamers that only know how to use dual analog sticks. Plus the N64 (and the original game) had dual analog sticks. (I think the N64 might have been the first mainstream home video game controller to have dual analog sticks). "theblackdragon" is right. I forgot.
They may as well launch an ad campaign that says "See? We're a hardcore FPS. We have two analog sticks."
@NeoRausch: I didn't know that. You're right, "it sounds awkward" but cool.
@10-WaveBoy: "Zack & Wiki is one of the greatest Wii games period. Total Classic. I'd love to see a sequal!" - Z&W is a GREAT game. I actually bought three or four copies. (Two for me, two for friends.) Bring on sequels!
@23-EdEN: Why would they ever re-release a Wii game as WiiWare? Yes, Z&W is often hard to find, but it's not impossible. Just buy the retail game.

Re: Liight Approved for WiiWare
Excellent use of a RHPS quote in the tagline.
Re: We Always Knew The Mario Brothers Were Made Men
Nice...
Re: Go Behind the Scenes on Conduit 2 with High Voltage
The Conduit was fun and solid, so I'm willing to give Conduit 2 the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Sega's 3DS Line-Up May Include Some Old IP Revivals
Space Channel 5 is hardly an "old" Sega IP.
Re: Claire Redfield Joins the Resident Evil Mercenaries Gang
Why is Claire now a mercenary? The character should be a unlock-able or a bonus.
Re: There May Never Be Another Smash Bros. as Hardcore as Melee
'Brawl' is a crazy amount of fun.
Re: North America Gets In On WiiWare Demo Action Next Week
Cool. "BIT.TRIP FATE" and "Jett Rocket" are two games that I considered buying, but spent the time/money on GoldenEye instead.

Re: If You Want Virtual Boy Games on 3DS, Speak Up
They HAVE TO BE in black and red! (I wouldn't be interested if they weren't.)
Re: Multiplayer in Angry Birds Will Resemble "Old School Worms"
@11 Popyman: "'Old school Worms'? I wasn't aware Worms changed. =P"
Yep, it didn't in the U.S., but in other parts of the world it got better.

Re: WiiWare Demos Launch This Week with Four New Downloads
I bought "Zombie Panic In Wonderland" when it came out. It's great fun!
Re: Last Flight Gameplay Footage Lands at Long Last

"Gleamed"? How about GLEANED.
Re: GoldenEye's New Tank Stage Goes Big on the Bangs
"...get in and out of the tank whenever you want. If they remove that then they've effectively killed it."
@JimLad:
James Bond never did that in the movie.
Re: Ufouria: The Saga
Last night I beat Ufouria (after having to start over) and it's pretty cool. I dig it!
Re: Cave Story Update Now Available
But what if you really wanted to "Examinate" something?
Re: New Conduit 2 Trailer Suitably Full of Bombs, Bullets and Bombast
The first Conduit was cool, solid, and a little generic; the sequel looks cooler and not generic. I can't wait. Definite fun.

The visuals remind me a lot of the recent Boy and His Blob remake...
Re: Wii Sports Resort
Watching that video reminds me how much fun this game is to play... Man, I wanna play it right now!
Re: Watch Out for Target Toss Pro: Lawn Darts Next Monday
Oh man, I remember playing Jarts once in the 80's. (Then I guess parents hunted them down and "destroy[ed] them immediately".)
I'm definitely buying this one.
Re: Buy Ufouria If You Want More Quirky Virtual Console Titles
Working Designs brought us some AWESOME games & packaging.
Re: Sakamoto Wants to Know Your Metroid: Other M Thoughts

Dear Sakamoto: Long unskippable cinematics suck.

Re: XGen Studios Readying Machinarium and Super Motherload for WiiWare
I'm not sure why, but I get an "Exile mests Oyster Boy"-vibe from the Mechanarium video. (P.S. I loved those.)

Re: Sonic Colours
@Syr: I thought it was Sega's game, not England's.

Good times, good times {experience}
The photo tagline is great. (The sequel is in that chest. No, you cannot have it.)

Re: GoldenEye Gets Golden Pad Bundle
@51-Moosa: Um, ok? If you don't like it, don't use it.
I feel it's more accurate and more intuitive. We will agree to disagree. For both of our sakes, I'm glad it supports both.
Re: GoldenEye Gets Golden Pad Bundle
@ErrorSupply: I was only considering the single player campaigns, not glitchy hacked multi-player messes.
And can we get a headset for online deathmatch chatting? I thought that was in the works...
Re: Nintendo Teamed Up With Nokia to Develop Phone Concept

"Basketbrawl"? Uh... They made an updated ArchRivals? I dunno. I don't see any green mohawks in those screenshots.
