Re: Hardware Review: Big Hands, Meet The Hori Split Pad Pro for Switch

Does anyone know if these eat more battery than normal joycon play? Not sure if because joycons have a battery if the system has to do less work. But maybe since the extra features arent there it doesnt matter? My battery life is already poor. I want these but not if I have to sacrifice battery. Would really love a side by side real use battery test.

Was actually playing this game tonight. I saw the State of Play (which wasnt very good imo), and i saw they announced this and was like what the hell?? I guess i just figured Switch would have got it after PS4, as is tradition.

This game is a serious timesuck though. I may get the expansion if and when all the new great games dry up...which doesnt seem to be any time soon. Civ is my gap-bridger between new games. Cant get too many too often or the wife gets mad haha

I love fire emblem and the battle system is excellent...but the game is a slog because of the school premise. Going around and talking to everyone over and over so you can maximize your relationships was brutal. I also didn't like the gift system so you could train everyone. 6/10 game for me. Awesome battle system, okay story, brutal side activities that are just there to take up time. I beat it, but only because I didn't want to feel the 50+ hours were wasted. No way i can play through it again.

Re: GameStop Set To Close 180 - 200 "Underperforming" Stores This Fiscal Year

Someone needs to purchase them and totally revamp the culture and poor policies. I have about 3 nightmare stories about customer service experiences I have had...and I only shop with them a few times a year. I cant imagine what other people that shop more have experienced.

There is still value in a game centric store in my opinion - but you have to do it right. No selling games as new. Dont have half the store be toys. Dont hire judgemental people that have to offer their opinion when they see what youre buying. Have a lot of demo kiosks with interchangeable games. Dont charge an arm and a leg for used games. Give a better value back for used games (at least match Amazon). Provide a gamer rewards program like Best Buy had. But dont push it like crazy and make people uncomfortable.
