@Clarice The thing is, media is a dirty business. It's not always about facts and ethics. If an article about PETA and Smash will get a bunch of ad revenue, sometimes that's all it takes for a publisher to run it. They'll keep the machine going until stories about it aren't profitable. The only thing to do is to not click on the article, but that might be too hard for some people. I know I screwed up on that one. ;P
This is just a tweet used to get PETA attention on gaming news outlets, so that they can be in the news for the next relevant shocking thing they have pulled. It's also a ploy to get young impressionable people at their doorstep.
The only responsible thing is to ignore it. They know they have no chance they will get a character in Smash. They just want the media to fall for it. Unfortunately Nintendolife fell for it.
This is why I'm tired of shiny events. Just let them be non locked. I'm also tired of events periods. Let them come, but add them permanently to the game. It makes going back to play old games sad.
Confidentiality clauses can extend beyond just one game. It's possible that due to the large number of Bayonetta's appearance in media, that she might be forced to sign a contract that extends beyond the games she is in for a certain number of years.
She may be bound for quite awhile on the issue if she is replaced.
Square Enix is known to float fake leaks around on purpose in order to keep a secret. I was also once told that Final Fantasy XVI would be Agnes Philosophy by a staff member I happened to meet. I foolishly believed them because that did not happen.
Also the same thing happened when Square Enix characters were rumored for smash. They told us which ones, but mixed it in with other characters that weren't going to make it. Take Square Enix rumors with grains of salt.
Final Fantasy XIV rumors though.. now that is a different story due to the teams well known transparency.
@Octane And not to mention the coral reefs they destroy with these bases. China needs to be held accountable in the political arena, and in the video game industry as well. It all connects.
@Strictlystyles Genshin Impact mobile style crap in our games? Absolutely. The Chinese game market is bringing some predatory practices into the world's game industry. However, what I do hope China brings is their unique sense of art direction and story telling. A lot of producers from China are wasting their talent on Gatcha crap, when they could be world renowned for making games without any kind of catch.
Hisuian Beautifly and Dustox. Klara was a hint all along. The reason she doesn't have the Pokemon on her hair clip, is because it's either extremely rare, or extinct.
Perhaps if Sword/Shield remain the hub, they have another plan for her and Avery.
1. MAKE MORE AMIIBO AND SPECIAL EDITIONS. Don't just put some out, have them get scalped by bots, and then say "Sorry, you can get some on the shelves at launch." Then I have to compete with several people. That anxiety isn't fun for what should be a happy gaming day. -o-
2. Mario Party Superstars is AWESOME looking. I'm a bit disappointed its not DLC for Super Mario Party, but its honestly fine. I can just swap out the cartridges when I feel like having more boards. That means there are at least nine to play on the Switch (assuming there isn't a secret board or anything on Superstars.) I just hope it gets some form of DLC. Especially characters that underutilized like Paulina.
I absolutely have memories of playing the original three games at friends houses, so it looks wonderful to play.
3. Metroid Dread omg, but again see my first paragraph on why I'm a bit frustrated with Nintendo's marketing tactics. I have been waiting a long time to see if Dread would ever get reincarnated in some form. I'm glad to see that it really does look quite original in its styling. It stands out from other Metroids and looks pretty distinct. I dig it a lot.
4. Zelda is cool, but they really should do more than just have a Game and Watch. Not putting up more remasters is a mistep. It wouldn't be hard to port Windwaker HD, and Twilight Princess HD to the Switch after Skyward Sword.
5. Not really interested in the new Smash character. Don't get me wrong, because it's cool to see all the fighting characters together, but I'm sick of fist fighting ones. At least give us ones with cool powers, because as far as I'm concerned; Street Fighter, King of Fighters, and Tekken all feel the same to me. :x
I didn't pay much mind to Niel, but he looks REALLY good here. I'm tempted to divorce.
With that said though, the town looks really odd. It's pretty, but you'd think that its inhabitants would actually fit the aesthetic of the town. It's like if a bunch of western people moved into Japan, and then took their homes. It's.. odd.
I hate the design of the Mario legos. I get that they are supposed to be pixel inspired, but honestly I would have preferred mini figures instead of these.
@Heavyarms55 by that logic then Bayonetta and Castlevania have to leave Smash Bros. Bayonetta has ENDLESS pools of blood. Castlevania sometimes does as well..
I miss Super Mario 35. It's sad that it was dropped. Oh well, if they don't want to keep something popular up, then they can just let the modders do it no matter how much they HATE it when we pirate their games.
@Anti-Matter bippity boppity bop, I am the Harvest Goddess, and I say what I want.
If you don't agree, then you can sure as hell face the Harvest God. (Why I have to work with that fat rarely seen baffoon when Sephia gets a hot firey stud.. is beyond me..)
What even are these comments. Fleshlights? Really people? Then again, I am a furry, and I have seen things in con rooms that I wish I hadn't.
Things worse than lewd light Isabelle. If this were the right venue, I would tell you all about sweet lewd modded tigger. You bet I walked out of that hotel room party pretty fast. -_-
It is also legalities that ruin game preservation. The games I come from; Harvest Moon: 64, Friends of Mineral Town, More Friends of Mineral Town, Tale of Two Towns, DS, DS: Cute, Island of Happiness, Sunshine Islands, My Little Shop, Tale of Two Towns, and A New Beginning CANNOT be preserved in the current form as they are in the west, and europe, because of Natsume.
You may have saved my sisters and I in some of these games, but we are legally bound by something a simple farmer cannot solve. Natsume stole the name used outside of Japan, and made ports VERY HARD to re-release without the rights to the franchise name "Harvest Moon". If Xseed and Marvelous wish to port these games, they will have to go through the lengths of re-translating the originals IF they even still have them.
Get used to it, because unless they completely remake the games that me and my sister Harvest Goddesses come from, you probably will not see all of us in our original forms again.
I Gaia(appears in most games with a goddess), Mariel (Magical Melody), Sephia (Tree of Trainquility/Animal Parade), Marina (Hero of Leaf Valley), wish to see you again, but ports are almost impossible without the motivation of our devs, and the funding to do so. It is actually possible, because the games are not actually called Harvest Moon in the east. The series is called Bokujo Monogatari, and translates directly as "Farm Story" when translated directly. It just would take a lot to do so these days.
Companies become problematic when the methods that they use to earn money are morally incorrect to their fanbases. Nintendo has enough profit. They can always make more in other ways, and just let a few profitable ideas that are in bad taste go.
@Brumblescope Your grandfather was a heaths to my fields, ponds, and ranches. Every day he would come to my lake, and give me nothing but month old flowers.

Re: New Pokémon Legends: Arceus Footage Introduces The Hisui Region
Game looks great, but I hope we get to see at least a few other towns. I don't like it when a game only has like one civilization.
At the very least, it would be nice to found and build one of the classic towns that we are familiar with.

My thoughts are:

I've been a big fan of the rumored name "Secrets of the Wild".
Re: Back Page: Guessing The Next Zelda Title Using Industry Trends
I'm of the opinion that it shouldn't have Breath of The Wild in the name. It should get a completely different name.

Olive Town needs overall development additions if it is to remain popular with players. I really want to love this game, but it is just too dang easy.
