A "massive" paid expansion
Nintendo's latest Direct event kicked off with a bang - announcing the new Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak DLC.
It's noted how this new expansion will be a "massive paid" one - featuring new stories, locales, monsters, hunting actions and quest ranks. Here's a brief teaser of what to expect:

Already?! Summer 2022 can't come soon enough. Time to boot up Rise again, this is so hype.
I had a feeling Rondine's kingdom would play into the expansion! It's time to become a "Knight" and turn Monster Hunter into Dark Souls apparently. Check out MHRise's Twitter page for more hints.
I'm excited for more locals. I was getting bored of the ones we have. It just doesn't feel like that many.
We knew it was coming, but good to hear it reconfirmed all the same.
I'm guessing that means next-gen Monster Hunter is 2023.
Looks like nice DLC but I still haven't decided whether to buy the original game even though the demo was fun. Now I'm even more conflicted.

Hopefully a physical Monster Hunter Rise Ultimate is on the horizon. I don't like when large expansions like Octo-expansion are digital exclusive.

@Aurumonado : Same. Especially in Splatoon’s case. Isn’t Octo a single player campaign anyway? It makes little sense NOT to issue a standalone physical release in that case. After all, they did for New Super Luigi U back in the day.
I guess I better finish the main game then huh?
@Silly_G Ya I still haven't bought Octo expansion - silently waiting for a physical version. But I think that's probably not happening by this point.
Weird that they announced this before revealing any details about the PC version of the base game.
@Aurumonado : I’ve long given up hope. Maybe one of these years when they release a Splatoon 2 port or remake with everything on whatever format that may be.

Hope they add some siege quests this time. Jhen Mohran would be a welcome addition.
