I wanted this on the switch as a handheld game mostly when I’m on the go. But Epic just released this free on their game store on PC. I might pick it up anyways for switch

@TheLightSpirit 480i or 480p is standard definition. So the game will run lower than standard in handheld sometimes

@TheFox Nintendo could make a lot of money if they did port some games to other consoles. And let’s not forget PC has Xbox live free, Xbox gamepass, and all of the Xbox games.. << that kinda makes Xbox look irrelevant lol. But the point is Nintendo could get a ton of money on gamepass.

Depends on what he thinks is “ground breaking”. If he looks at it as new ways to play, or something different in the console then he’s right.but The new hardware is the official start of new graphic technologies. The PC has Big Navi and Nvidia is dropping the rtx 3000 series. Nintendo is really the only ones bringing unique consoles, and innovation to gamers these days. Wii-wii u- switch. All of those changed how we as gamers can play a game.

@Tasuki that was a good game. I was actually disappointed when the real game came out. It wasn’t made by the guys who made the prequel. I would’ve liked their version with updated graphics like the final version.

@Kimyonaakuma yeah that’s crazy it’s high up and people didn’t see it is free this week. It could be that lots of people don’t use the epic game store? I use gamepass PC, steam, and epic game store. I figured those were like the main ones everyone uses.

@sword_9mm you are 100% correct. The Nvidia move was a very bad decision overall. Nvidia’s mobile socs are very limited in choice, low end, expensive. The higher up chips would be way too expensive for Nintendo to consider using anytime in the near future.

And people will still think the switch is plenty powerful, doesn’t need an upgrade, is perfect as is, and blame every developer for any shortcomings on frame rates/graphics. Hopefully they can do some improvements over time. I wanted to get this on switch

@Seananigans people are ridiculous for even considering hating the epic store. I have over 70 free games on it, it’s amazing. And some of those freebies are better than most stuff offered on the Nintendo switch.

Have to hurry and make sure you download the files before Nintendo ruins it

@westman98 it’s already very dated on graphics, tech, and the future. Just wait until the 10+ Teraflop consoles arrive and the switch gets no 3rd party games anymore. Honestly, the only thing keeping switch getting ports at the moment is the Xbox one original still gets games with its 1.2 TF of power and it’s easier to downgrade that a bit to work on the switch 1TF console. But that will change when the original Xbox one and PS4 get phased out soon enough. Not to mention many people won’t bother with switch offering the worst versions of every game multiplat.

They should keep the splatfest going in this game. They probably had a huge drop in players after they quit doing them.

@JayJ adding updates to great games that are running great on release is not the same thing as updating a game that’s unfinished, unoptimized.

@Kalmaro always check the epic game store once a week. They just gave this game away free like 2 weeks ago. It’s a pretty good game I’d buy on switch if it runs properly.

@nessisonett seriously what is it with you guys thinking an upgrade will cause pro exclusives? Both Sony and Xbox have demonstrated how to “properly” upgrade a console. They both play all of the same games no matter what system. It’s like PC, if people want to stick to low end hardware that’s their deal.. but don’t punish people who want an upgrade just because some Nintendo fans are crying over it. And honestly it’s been over 3 years since launch $300 USD price tag. That’s not much money at all for a new upgrade 3 years later when game stores give $200 USD credit towards trading for a new model.

Switch ports don’t sell good, I’ve said it a thousand times. When the games are always delayed for months to get it working on switch and then major graphic downgrades don’t help also.

The sales are incredible so far but I’m wondering what worldwide sales are at. I would guess 8 million so far.

Sunshine remaster would be at the top of the list for me and most others. I wouldn’t mind galaxy 1 and 2 also since the bosses were pretty awesome

this isn’t really a bad thing because the game sold 2 million in 3 days in japan. I imagine US sales were probably double, or triple that. Worldwide sales for this game are probably sitting at a minimum of 5-6 million right now, possibly more.

PC would clearly have an advantage in cross play over the Switch on any game.. PC has much higher frame rates, low input lag gaming monitors, mouse/keyboard and the ability to change to perfect settings on the mouse.. This game is soo old I also wouldn’t be surprised if the PC players are modding as well.

This game looks, and plays nothing like fortnite lol. It looks pretty unique with its own style. I wonder if this has a story mode? Or is just online?

@Expa0 you should invest in a wired adapter bro. I just downloaded it in about 10 minutes or less. I got a J5 create adaptor and get 80 Mbps download test on switch.

This a great game so far. Combat system is like the same as octopath traveler. Graphically the game looks good, but the characters are blurry.

This was pretty disappointing overall, a lot of old games and DLC. Now we probably have to wait 6 months for another direct or any news on games WE actually want. I’m starting to hate how Nintendo doesn’t give news or updates on games and keeps secrets for everything. At least Sony and Xbox give news a lot more year round.. seriously, a lot of us probably have nothing to play at the moment on switch.

@gamering I’m not doubting how optimized the game is. I’ve played a few times on the demo on my PC. I didn’t say all of the games sell bad, just most so compared to other consoles

@gamering switch is weaker in many areas to a low end PC. It’s CPU and ram are very low, and not enough. Maybe when Nintendo wises up and makes a switch pro/new console later. Nintendo is catering too much to handheld users at the moment. All of these low end ports of 3rd party sell bad on switch and most get delayed 6 months if they even come at all. It will get worse when the new PC architecture comes and the PS5/xboxSeriesX.

I really like what these guys are doing. Does anyone have a recommendation on any of these games? I’ve never played them before.

I hope they make something similar to curse of the moon. I’d buy it day one for sure.

Don’t really failed big time on persuading me to buy a PS5. It’s obvious the XBSX uses newer AMD tech based simply upon looking at both GPU specs. I was right when I said PS5 was around 8TF but they overclocked it a lot to reach 9TF after Xbox revealed their specs. Seriously though 2.3 ghz clock in PS5 is a lot and will cause heat issues and dead GPUs in no time.

For anyone who doesn’t know Walmart sells Mario rabbids and starlink two pack for 29.99. I’m not sure if both or physical though.

@Heavyarms55 they have to submit every game for approval. That’s why there’s only 3 games so far.

I really wish they would give some news on splatoon 3. After reaching X rank and splatfests ending there’s not too much to do besides play league battle. Also, splatoon 2 has the highest sales for any exclusive shooting game beside halo 2 so it’s a win for Nintendo and needs to happen

I would say Nintendo is #1 as far as any developer/publisher. They have the most games, and also the games get great reviews. On PC, PlayStation, Xbox I can get the same and similar experience on each one.. but Nintendo provides a more diverse and unique gaming experience that can only be found on the switch and through its games.

Hopefully it’s a switch pro as one of the announcements. It’s definitely much needed at this point. CPUs, GPUs, Ram, and hard drives are taking the biggest steps on power we’ve ever seen before. A lot of developers won’t even bother with the switch when the PS5/Xbox series comes out.. Not to mention PC is about to have a massive upgrade on tech come the end of the year. We are already seeing this on switch now with outsourcing development on most 3rd party games, and also getting badly downgraded ports. Other than that I want Splatoon 3, Mario kart 9, Pikmin, and some other games Nintendo has been working on.

A lot of the success has to do with it being a tablet, handheld, and console that can be played wherever you like. It really sells for casuals with the gimmicks sorta like the Wii had its own gimmicks.

@Xansies that sums it up great. Most people want a “pro”model outside of this site.. The Nintendo sites are the only ones saying switch is ok and doesn’t need any improvements.. just wait until the next Xbox/ps5, and new PC hardware comes.. it will be a bad day to only own a switch to game. Ports will be gone

@able_to_think you can play PC on any TV and with any controller.. Xbox, switch pro, ps4 controllers work on them. There’s no reason anyone should continue to think PC has limitations when it doesn’t anymore.

@Moistnado I support all of that to an extent. I just wish when I was on splatoon 2, MHUG, and some other coop style games that I could msg friends or invite. I really only play Splatoon 2, MHGU, and some realm Royale with my 10 yr old as far as online multiplayer .. those are my most played. Overall I’m very satisfied with every Nintendo exclusive, I think it’s the most fun console around today.

@glaemay when did I say anything about big budget graphics? And also what’s with you and wanting people to get a ps5 lol.. anyways nothing you said relates to my comments I will comment no further to you. I said the truth and you couldn’t handle that..

@Moistnado I think I’m good I own a switch and a gaming PC. But chatting is needed, I can’t even play games with friends unless I know them in person. There’s also something called child accounts, and privacy filters to where kids don’t get msgs or chat invites. Xbox has a similar thing they do

@BarefootBowser it’s true they will always come to systems with a good install base at first.. but look at the wii as an example that more power for developers is very important. Most 3rd party abandoned the Wii system even with its install base..

The third party games also sell worse on switch than the Xbox or PS in most cases as well. Another example is all of the 3rd party games getting delayed, or outsourced for someone else to get it to run. I don’t care about graphics, I just want my games to be able to run at good frame rates, without huge sacrifices, and at an acceptable resolution.

That’s not too much to ask since Nvidia has had better mobile chips since switch launched in 2017. People can talk about a pro version would separate the install bases, pro only games.. But Xbox pulled it off and PS.. every single game works on the old consoles for them.. if people don’t want the upgrade then they don’t have to get it, they can play at lower frame rates and graphics..

@glaemay yeah you’re funny.. I don’t own a PlayStation, I own a switch with around 60 games. I may be a huge Nintendo fan and all but I’m honest about things when it comes to gaming. If your fanboy damage controlling heart can’t take my honesty on Nintendo needing improvements then I don’t know what to tell you. All you had to do was skip my honest comment.
