For context, how much was Sony outselling Nintendo in the GBA/Gamecube era?

They sold out of Tomodachi life where I was so it's at least got some buzz to it. I had to trek to the Tesco's to find a copy.

Suprised Nintendo went so long without any big lay-offs. I recently read a story about why so many jobs are lost in the games industry and I hope these people can get some more jobs elsewhere.

Not all great news, I had to send my WiiU away due to a glitch in the update. To be fair though, that may be due to my crappy internet rather than the update itself. sigh I'm getting a wired adapter for when it's fixed.

Mine keeps getting an error at 99%. I tried looking it up but it just said to contact Nintendo support. Must be a rare and /or serious error.

I don't think any of us saw Roy coming in Melee.

In laymans terms the sales are 6 and a bit times better than they were before but as many have said that doesn't mean much until we get the last set of numbers.

I don't know what my feelings are doing. As long as it's not OP and DLC that people asked for is coming it's ok I guess.

@Maelstrom I don't think Imfamous was a big thing in Japan. Maybe the PS4 will take off when they release more games geared towards the Japanese Market like Final Fantasy BunchaRomanNumerals.

I hoep it does better than Pokemon Rumble. It was a good idea but the blind packing killed it for me. And that there was no figures for some of my favorites.

Well we need casual games that fools will buy because that was a large chunk of the original Wii's market.

The only Mario Kart Battle Mode I liked was MKDS where you had more balloons and it was risk reward whether you stopped to inflate them or not.

I think Nintendo might have better sales if they put a discount on some of their older titles on the eShop. What's the point of getting SF643D on the eShop when a physical one is bargain bin material these days?

I think the tittle was too different for people to be comfortable with funding. It wasn't on the 3DS (until late in the kickstarter) it was in 3D, it was episodic and it was horror. The large goal was an off-put too. I hope they find a way to make it work though.

And we don't have any definitive proof it was cut from the main game, though Gold Mario looks like he was made after the game went gold (accidental pun) in about 30 minutes.

That's good from a moral and no-piracy standpoint. You actually pay for the content instead of paying for a code that you could hack. This is why SFxTekken was such a disaster.

A portable WiiU gamepad that plays download games would be cool. Or a 3DS with a phone built in maybe.

Personally I think they should try reviving all the old franchises to fill gaps not provided by third parties like Star Fox shooting and (can't belive I'm saying this) minigame collections like Mario Party.

A good Pokemon game wouldn't go amiss either. Pokemon Stadium 3 anyone?

The fact it's on no "next-gen" consoles should be a warning flag but this generation swap has been screwy so I don't know what to think.

I heard that X's developers tweeted about the direct telling people to watch it. the same thing happened with Punch-out wii's devs and little mac in February.

It'll be something disappointing like that creepy mo-cap detective game.

Wouldn't be a big stretch to make the games local two player. Put one version on the game pad and the other on the TV with a normal controller. Conceptually at least. Programming wise I'm betting it'd be difficult.

I think the AAA and Indies need to work together. Most big film studios have some kind of indie division where they give a bunch of unknowns a moderate budget and if they strike gold market the crap out of it. That's where Juno came from.

@Zach777 Usually the sort of comment I'd get mad at but you''re right. All the big games they got coming aren't in a demoable state. There's Bayonetta and X in the works but I think they're at the extensive debugging stage. Heck X is probably still in design stages.

Sonic and Serious have had a wonky relationship. Personally I find it works better when there's less humans. Sonic Adventure focused on the ancient Echidnas and you could've removed all the humans bar Robinik/Eggman without any plot impact. Sonic Adventure 2 had more plot important humans but all the important ones were linked to Eggman. Even the military used robots.

On to the bad games, Shadow the Hedghog had human decide the best defence against aliens was their weak fleshy bodies and had a grudge against Shadow based on the paranoia of their boss. I don't need to explain Sonic 06 so I'll just leave it at that.

Also the less allies Sonic has the better. Sonic and Tails' banter in Sonic Colors had more character than all the interactions with the throwaway characters.

I'm wondering where most of the costs went from the $70 mil to make the originals. Not on the English voice acting for sure.
