Re: Analysts Weigh In On The Nintendo Switch Debate

Flauber

I know analysts are analysts, and that money people are not in this for the fun. But apparently analysts and investors would only be happy if the Switch was a pure jump to mobile.
If there was a single moment with a child on that commercial people today would be complaining that Nintendo was not focusing on getting out of their perceived demographic.
In the meantime, the only people that matter, the gamers, are loving Switch.
In one year this thing will be outselling the Wii U and all of this analysts will be praising what an amazing move it was.

Re: Reaction: Our Early Thoughts on the Nintendo Switch

Flauber

I was blown away, actually, when the whole hybrid rumors started I was very weary and didn't like the idea at all. But the trailer totally changed my mind.
Also, on the whole touchscreen debate, I think it does have touchscreen, it sounds like a missed opportunity maybe not for gaming, but at least some functionality. (Also during the trailer you can sometimes see the screen full of disgusting finger marks, it could be just that the actors had to do several takes, or people were touching the screen with their greasy little and not cleaning it afterwards!).

Re: Analysts Expect Nintendo NX Reveal by Early October and Make Bold Super Mario Run Predictions

Flauber

I'm actually starting to accept that Nintendo might only announce the NX next year, maybe like January 12, or something.
I just don't think it makes sense anymore to announce it before the Holiday season. It wont stop people from buying PS4s and XBOnes during Christmas, so, why do it?
Everytime someone thinks about the NX the internet implodes, best to keep people acting that way, and keep the console on everyone's mind, than to announce it and get everyone disappointed for the NX not being the best microwave/coffee machine ever , like the whole PS4 Pro disaster yesterday

Re: Poll: Nintendo Has Laid Out Its Legend of Zelda E3 Plans - Are They Enough?

Flauber

You know, after some time to think about Ninty's decision, since it was announced, I have kinda come to agree with it.
I know it's not a popular solution and that people will be upset for it, but not presenting anything other than Zelda is actually the right move.
Imagine Nintendo's situation, they probably don't have any big things coming to Wii U for the rest of it's life cycle except for Paper Mario and Zelda.
Now imagine a direct and they only show those two games. It will suck and everyone will scream "it sucked!", "why make a presentation to show that?"
I know people have hope, but sorry, there's not going to be any Pokémon Wii U or Metroid Prime Wii U, having a presentation will just receive hate all around from unfulfilled unjustified hopes.
For now, focus on Zelda, make it big, really BIG, like Fallout 4 big.
And when it's time, Introduce the NX with style and without sharing attention with anything else. Don't try to "win E3" against the others, win your own thing.
But for now, will have to have some patience, which is not something gamers are known for, but I do believe it will be worth it.

Re: Reaction: The NX Release in March 2017 and How It Changes the Game

Flauber

I actually agree with the 2017 release, for all accounts I think it is the best move for Nintendo. Move it away from this year's (few) game releases.
What I don't get is the E3 absence and focus on LoZ, I love Zelda, but... something is... weird. Especially if you consider Loz is also coming for the NX.
We are missing something here, guys.

Re: Feature: Key Details to Look Out for in Nintendo's Vital Financial Reports and Briefings

Flauber

I find it funny that people expect major reveals from financial report. Of course Nintendo won't say NX's real name or the games they plan on releasing.
That's E3 material.
The more they keep the information secret until the E3 presentation the stronger the hype train will get.
Tomorrow, today in Japan, they'll probably just reiterate the things they've already said on the last Direct, and maybe hint at a new console coming soon.
Just relax, people.

Re: Editorial: Miitomo is Surprisingly Strange and Compelling

Flauber

I actually agree with you, I hate social media but miitomo has got my attention. It's not a social media per se, and at the same time you kinda get to know your friends a little better.
Sure it's not a game and can get boring if you take it too seriously, but seeing Miis being silly and reacting to answers is funny way to unwind every once in a while.
