Accessory maker Plenbo has taken to Kickstarter to secure funding for the G-Case, an "All-In-One" case solution for the Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED model.
The case really does seem to have it all; not only does it provide protection for your console when you're on the move, it also comes with modular components, such as a 5000mAh battery pack which can be swapped out with a replacement when it runs out of charge. The battery allows the case to charge the Switch during use, massively expanding its stamina. You can also use the case to charge other devices, like your smartphone.
Elsewhere, interchangeable grips mean you can customise the G-Case your own personal specification, and the case comes apart so you can use it as a Joy-Con grip when you're playing in tabletop or TV mode.
There are storage slots within the case for two games, and the G-Case even has its own kickstand. Used in conjunction with the optional OneDock, and you can play on the TV without having to use the official Switch Dock. Finally, there's support for Bluetooth 5.0, although this is optional and isn't included in the 'base' G-Case package.
If you think the G-Case looks like it could have come from a Japanese anime, you're right – as the company behind it explains:
Don't tell us that you didn't recognize the style at the first glance. Yes! It originated from our favorite anime: Gundam. The charming simple basic mecha lines make the whole product line consistent, symmetrical, and mechanical. Looks cool, huh?
You can pre-order a G-Case for $79 (down from $89), or pick up a bundle which comes with extras (including a case for the case) for $169. Upgrading to Bluetooth 5.0 adds an extra $20 onto the base price.
The G-Case has 50 days remaining on its crowdfunding campaign but has already raised £127,064 of its £14,731 goal.

Yeah, this keeps on turning up on my Facebook, No thank you, block ad.
First its being created in Hong Kong,
Second its the first posting,
Third its Kickstarter
Been burned one too many times with "tech" from Kickstarter, which either never turns up or just blows up
@Bunkerneath Fair enough on your second and third points, but most of the tech we use comes from China these days.
(*screaming too loud to find take my money memes)
I'm gonna try and take my Switch with me and it'll hit me with a Shining Finger...
If the battery pack isn't rechargeable I'll pass.
Looks like it adds a lot of weight and bulk...
Everything about this seems interesting, except for the dock. I've been on Wulff Den's channel and he's opened my eyes to 3rd party docks being the worst.
Other than that, I'll keep my eyes open on this.
Unfortunately, I fear the specific bit of Gundam this recalls is from halfway through the original series, where external pressures mean they suddenly have to write in all the doofy-ass plane and tank transformations.
This looks dope. I might buy it once I can see it's real and not just some scam
Not featured in the article, but it also has a magnetic coating applied directly to the psy-frame.
@Bunkerneath almost everything we buy is made in china, taiwan, hong kong, singapore, etc.
@Bunkerneath Tbh many Chinese companies have been improving on their quality.
Can I slap Amuro with my joy-cons?
Didn't the Genki adapter do the very same thing to output to TV or such. They have two such products?

Isn't this something copying their Dock converter? It looks so similar that can't be coincident here.
I think it's really cool and want to get one when it becomes available.
@SwitchForce There are several, similar charger / docks available. Genki wasn't the first, as far as I'm aware.

That is one ugly monstrosity
@Damo wrong device did you look at the Genki adapter they are way to similar that I contact Genki maker.
@ParadoxFawkes Exactly. Seems like it make handheld play tiring real fast, especially if the battery is attached. Interesting, but that's about it.
@Daggot and honestly once i started using the hori split pad i never used my joycons for handheld play again..and recently got the binbok joycons and they blow the split pads outta the water in every way... Playing a switch handheld any other way feels inferior
Does anyone know if it will be for switch og or switch oled or both?
@gameboy-x It will be for both. There's a version for original and a version for OLED.
I might get it. I'll wait until it looks legit.
There's a lot of clever design to this thing, with the different grip sizes and the game storage underneath them being a couple. It will be interesting to see how the final product turns out, and if it holds up, but it looks nicely done. The Gundam aesthetic also looks good to me, though I imagine that won't be for everyone.
No tate seems like a missed opportunity.
@ParadoxFawkes If you need to use the D-Pad then no, the Binboks don't blow the Split Pad Pros anywhere. The dead zones on the analog sticks on the Binboks are also a doozy. Those are important details. I own just about every "ergonomic" Joycon alternative out there, and the Binboks don't even make it to top 5.
@silverthornne depends on which binboks..i got the big ones and they are very comfortable and the sticks were hell of a lot more accurate than the Hori's , im sorry you can't find a pair you like, but I'm very happy with mine, the buttons feel great and responsive, the rear buttons are much better than the split pads, I like the dpad and it has rumble, gyro, and they are wireless...for $45 best controller investment on my switch besides the switch pro controller
I like the idea, hate the look, I'd need it in solid black. That said, I'll stick with my Satisfye Grip and battery back. Much cheaper and less bulky.
