@DiamondJim Not all of them are digital download codes. There are also physical copies with a cart available, but they cost more. On Amazon you can buy a copy with a cart in it.
@Duncanballs they released Apex Legends, Unravel 2, Plants vs. Zombies, Fe, Lost in Random and Knockout City too, which is most of their recent games. Only their sports games other than fifa, and games like battlefield aren't released on switch, but they haven't been that good lately, so not really a loss.
@Magician Microsoft, Nintendo and even Sony are still members of the ESA, so I expect them to be part of E3 one way or another. Nintendo always had a show presence with Treehouse Live being recorded at the show and always had one of the biggest booths. Microsoft had also kept planning their showcases on the usual E3 time, so they will most definitely also be part of E3. Sony remains to be seen, but since they haven't exited the ESA, there can always be a possibility they return.
The average is 200 mbps, but the median seems to be 130 mbps, which is still high enough. The US is big tho, so per state it would have very different speeds.
@JR150 All cloud games have demo versions just for that reason. Stadia also only needs 35Mbps for 4k60fps, so on Switch I expect this to be less. Here in Europe the average internet speed is 80 Mbps and in the US it's 200 Mbps apparently, which is higher than Japan, so I don't see where you're getting that the internet infrastructure is only good enough in Japan and South Korea...
@VoidofLight How is Epic Games the bully of the game industry? They are like the most pro-developer company in the industry. Next to that, all their games are multiplatform, so what exclusive games are you talking about?
@Rayquaza2510 4K support can mean just the ability to show a 4K resolution, for example to play 4K video's. It doesn't mean the games will run in 4K resolution or that the screen would be 4K. Would be useful for YouTube or Hulu.
Since the Nvidea Shield Pro has 4K output, I don't see why it isn't possible.
@LilMuku Animal Crossing absolutely was huge before too. Both Wild World (DS) and New Leaf (3DS) had 12 million in sales. Most games don't even sell a fraction of this.
@JR150 This has already been debunked. Apparently people don't know the difference between blockchain and cryptomining, which caused the misinformation.
@Ventilator Straight Right is just a different label of Tantalus though. They ported Rime, Sonic Mania and Cities Skylines to the Switch. They only use the Straight Right label for M-rated games, but they don't seem to be interested in those games at the moment. Maybe they'll use it in the future.
@Rayquaza2510 the reason why it's smaller this time around, is because this one is the mobile version. The uneven years like 17 and 19 are made for pc and consoles, while the even years like 18 and 20 are made for mobiles. Not sure why they think the Switch deserves the mobile version, but unfortunately that's the version they're bringing.
@EvaEeveeFan so just because you don't like these games, no one should be able to enjoy them? No ones forcing you to buy this, nor to read the reviews.
This has already been debunked by gamexplain. Apparently the hackers were confusing it with Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle, which did get dlc and a seasons pass.
@Kimyonaakuma They aren't free on PS4, but will be added as paid DLC. Looking at the previous DLC prices on PS4, it will probably cost at least 15 dollars.
@patbacknitro18 Just Dance actually sells the most on Switch for the last 2 releases from what I've read on Resetera and seen on VGChartz. The last one (JD19) sold 800k on Switch and 250k on Wii according to VGChartz.
@shgamer It should be less than 4 million. The 18 million sell through only includes the US, Europe and Japan. The 22 million shipment number should include the rest of Asia and South America.
Based on that, there probably will be 2 to 3 million on shelves, which isn't that weird as they would be shipping for the launch of Super Mario Party and as preparation for the holidays.
@Balta666 In Splatoon it is still only friends, but in Mario Kart and Arms, you are able to talk to randoms who also have the app open and are in your lobby.
@Lord You can't chat with randoms on Discord though. With the app it now is possible to speak to everyone else in the lobby who is using the app, even if you don't know them. I think that's reason enough for some people to start using the app again.
@Bunkerneath Actually, these wouldn't be illegal in Belgium, because for each sticker/toy there are the same number available. So the chance you get a certain sticker or toy is the same across the board.
In lootboxes there are objects that are rarer than others, which makes it more like gambling. That's why they are illegal, while Kinder Suprise and sticker packs aren't.
@Razzy Xenoblade on wii and on 3ds both use Criware, so my point still stands. But it's quite clear @impurekind is just a troll. He can't even get his facts straight.
@impurekind No, it's not. Since when are ports made with completely different engines? Next to that, they play different from eachother. It's like saying Mario Kart 8 is a port of Mario Kart 3DS.
@SethNintendo That was YummyHappyPills, but he changed his name to Knuckles-Fajita after this article lol
It was quite clear that Fifa 19 would come to the Switch, with the great sales it had in the UK/Europe and Japan. Hopefully this will lead to EA considering bringing their other (big) franchises to Switch.
@dew12333 Emily Rogers never said that Pokémon Stars was coming. It was Eurogamer that published the rumor. So far, she has been far more right than wrong about anything Switch related.
@Roam85 They still have to be part of the European Broadcasting Union though, which Israel is, but the US and Canada aren't. Also, most countries vote for their neighbors, so I wouldnt be so sure that the US could win this
@idrawrobots They actually brought Nuketown to Black Ops 2 and Free Fall to Ghosts as dlc. But unfortunately that was everything :/ I would have loved some more dlc
@thesilverbrick The smallest cart is 1 GB, so they probably went with that one. Legacy Collection 1 is 289.6MB and 2 is 4.96GB, so to go with the cheapest card, only MMLC1 could go on the cart.
@Octane It's still the same company from when RCT 2 was released. Also, RCT 2 wasn't made by Frontier, but by the company of Chris Sawyer, who also consulted on the RCT Classic games that released last year. They could always ask him to consult on this RCT too.
@Octane Yes, I knew that. That's why I think they should start hiring competent developers to make their games, instead of going with developers without a track record. It doesn't have to be Frontier, just a developer that has made good games before. But the current Atari seems to be too cheap to put any effort in their games unfortunately.
@Braneman RollerCoaster Tycoon wasn't an Atari IP though. It was already an IP of Infogrames (which is now called Atari SA) since 2, so it's still the "original" company that's working on it. They just need to hire better developers to make their games for them and stop rushing their games.
The beta is focused on pc browsers though and still has a lot of issues, sobthat might be the reason it isn't working atm.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE They never had any mention of the Switch on their site though. They only talked about the Switch through Twitter, which hasn't been deleted. Also, because it works through the browser, I don't think Nintendo can stop them, unless they delete the browser entirely.
@dimi The only reason PS4 is outselling the Switch, is because Switch is sold out in Japan. If Nintendo was able to ship more, the Switch would have sold more.
@YummyHappyPills The crowd funding campaign was delayed, so nobody lost money on that. But you're right that people should be iffy on this. Atari should have at least prepared a working demo on Switch to prove that they're actually working on it before starting to ask for money.
@jzf69 According to sources on Resetera, there is going to be an accessory announced at the event, so a camera accessory could be possible that would add a camera to the Switch, thus making AR possible. Other Nintendo consoles also had camera accessories, such as the gameboy and the Wii, so I wouldn't count it out.
@Agramonte Do you even read your own article, because it clearly says that the sales were decent on launch day. Now it's selling almost as much as the Xbox launch, without a launch discount on Switch, while being already 8 years old. How can those sales not be impressive??
@kobashi100 Those are 2 separate games though. In Japan, you can get both on separate cartridges and they are both under 16 GB, so again no need for a 32 GB cartridge. Anyways, I've already proven there are multple games that use the 32GB cart, so that source was wrong.
@kobashi100 Nintendo aren't using it because they never make big games in terms of size. Their biggest game ever was Xenoblade X, which was 21 GB. For the Switch they haven't even made a game that is larger than 16 GB, so why would they use a 32 GB card?
An other example of a game on a 32 GB cartridge is Resident Evil Revelations 2, which came out in Japan on a cartridge. There probably are some other games too.
@sillygostly You probably can't download it from the disc itself, because Nintendo thought this was easier. The data in the data packs are on the disc though, because how else would you be able to play the game without downloading the packs. Next to that, the digital version was only 21 GB, which is small enough to fit on a disc and you didn't have to download the packs for the digital version.
@sillygostly those download packs of xenoblade x had nothing to do with the disc not having enough space. Those download packs contained data that was also on the disc, but because reading from internal storage is faster, you could download those to get faster load speeds.
@kobashi100 there already are games on a 32gb cartridge, so how could they not be available? An example is the Dragon Quest Heroes 1 + 2 collection.
