Hyper Japan 2014 — the UK's biggest celebration of all things Nippon — kicks off today at Earl's Court in London, and runs until Sunday. Nintendo is one of the headline partners and will be showing off some of its latest games slap-bang in the middle of the show floor, including Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Super Smash Bros. 3DS. You'll also be able to pick up Tomodachi Life for half price, exclusively at Hyper Japan.
Our very own Thomas Whitehead and Anthony Dickens will be in attendance for today only, so if you're planning on making the trip down to London today, keep an eye out for them and be sure to say hello.
Our intrepid duo will be posting photos from the event to the Nintendo Life Instagram account, so if you can't make it, keep your eyes on that instead. Nintendo has also created a unique Twitter hash tag if you'd like to follow proceedings via social media — it's #NintendoatHyperJapan.

I'm going... tomorrow :/
Yeah, I'll be going tomorrow. Hope you guys enjoy yourselves today! ^^
See you in a bit!
I'm going on Sunday, hope there are more games than just 3
@gingerbeardman Boo! I'm sure we'll see you at EGX!
Is that them in the picture? Thomas and Anthony are certainly masters of disguise.
I came second in the smash finals, gonna go cry now jk.
Totally unrelated, but I spot Pain (from Naruto) in the background.
the last thing id be going for is the games..............
@antdickens @ThomasBW84 Hope you had fun and got a good amount of time on the games!
If one of you happen to see this, could you tell me whether they have air conditioning there? I'm hoping to go to the event either tomorrow or Sunday but I'm in the odd predicament where my parents will only take me if there's air con! (Yeah it's really that critical to them haha)
Thanks very much!
@Squashy @thomasbw84 hmm, I think it does have air con, but it's not like its super chilled in there, it wasn't uncomfortably hot at all though, earls court is huge!
@antdickens Thanks for the reply Anthony, much appreciated!
@Damo yes, moved my end of summer holiday forward a bit to be back for EGX.
