@Low_ink the ideia was for him to enjoy time with the family as well, hence why Francos is going to offer him a Switch also, or having the family not paying for their meal. In most of the cases here, you would get only the Switch, because hey, priorities. But because this kid made an amazing choice, he doesn't have to be deprived of neither of them. Sometimes the road less taken is the one you should walk, otherwise, you're just passing by.
@Tsusasi ahahah you're absolutely right. Scrolling down to the comments, after such heart warming history, you're suddenly reminded why aren't there many histories like this anymore, as the cinism is getting higher by the day. These people could make a horrible comment about the most amazing act of altruism and still they go to bed, feeling quite well with themselves, because they just added a bit more of sadness into this world. Makes you wonder what will the future bring and what kind of people are being born today.
@Mr-Fuggles777 true. I wasn't born with games, i was born with comics and books, and i got into games latter in my life. I own most systems and don't defend neither one, since there's games i love in all of them, but this console cults are rather creepy to me. Nintendo is famous for pulling the CAD on almost everything, even fans who just love their games and remake them out of pation, for no profit at all, and people seem to be always in favour of these big N. Sony seems the same, although they aren't so aggressive, and Microsoft, well, it's Microsoft.
And not talking about console manufacturers only, but publishers as well. Defending your property is normal, now, being jerks all the time isn't and Nintendo in this case takes the price out of them all. Although i condone stealing, i cannot talk about piracy, since I've used it before. I couldn't afford 40£ or 50£ every time i wanted to play a game so piracy got me through those tough times were now I'm able to buy pretty much whatever game i want.
@RasandeRose grow up. XD do you realise I'm probably older than you, right? Which in a sense makes you right, though, since unfortunately, it seems my life as become rather dull, because I'm probably arguing with a 13 year old kid and that is just sad. And by the way, if your opinion includes a remark about someone's personal believes, or even an offense in it, which, calling someone's reasoning "kindergarten" or "ridiculous" is included, you should really look into find some manners, instead of playing so many Nintendo games. It's one of my hobbies, trying not to offend no one unless I'm offended first. You should try it, instead of pulling the passive-agressive card on me.
@RasandeRose seems fair. My kindergarten reasoning didn't made me offend you. No matter how ridiculous you find my opinion keep your s...t for yourself and put your offenses where the sun doesn't shine, mate.
Rather unfortunate that the conversation was going well untill you decided that you're cleverer than anyone else in the room, so I'll leave this conversation. And by the way, good for you and the rest they so much love Nintendo. Nintendo appreciates and it's going to send you flowers next week. Just wait. And, by the way, my list of games is public here. And, since you have selective reading, "games are not my only hobby". You switched this to: i don't care about games. Nice way to show how really clever you are. Have a good time and let me know if Nintendo sends those flowers, game lover.
@RasandeRose you can see it whatever way you want. You're entitled to your opinion as i am to mine. Although, if you read my words you will find no defense of these so called "pirates" or even Nintendo itself. I couldn't care less for what happens to both, and i am a gamer, yes, although i wouldn't cry if either big companies go bankrupt since games are not my only hobby. I keep my statement; it's okay to defend your work. It's not okay, as the @BloodNinja said and very well, to send an entire Thanos level treat against one person, which, in most cases, Nintendo does. What Nintendont is respecting their clients enough to build a steady console that doesn't need replacing after a while. Might not be the case for many, but unfortunately, it is a case. I'm very protective of my money, since i work hard to have it, what i don't do is tricking people with gimmicks and mirrors so they keep buying the same over and over. That's unethical and shows a true lack of humanity by all these big companies. Unfortunately, it's the world we live in.
Everyone defending Nintendo, the company that charged you 350£ for a console that is literally a junk of plastic, so much, not even the only thing you need to play, works correctly (joy con drift?), a company that despite knowing this and providing a cheaper way of replacing it, made them actually unaffordable (69£?), on top of a 350£. Nintendo are not the good guys, and neither are the ones who pirated, although you could defend some people would have a problem paying 60£ for a re-release of a 30 year old game that they bought fully priced 30 years ago. Don't defend Nintendo, they are richer than you, they don't care about you, and they will not bankrupt if one or 2000 pirate their games. I myself own a few consoles and i use emus also, since a lot of the games i like are impossible to get. And let's not forget that none of this company (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, etc) cares of people are breaking their necks defending them. You'll not get a thank you card in the mail by arguing who's the good or bad guy here.
@anoyonmus I will, but honestly I wouldn't keep my hopes up. The company seems to have gone radio silent, actually. Much like Hollow Knight: Silksong, that, at this moment, I'm starting to believe it doesn't even exist. 🤣
@anoyonmus nothing. And i even wrote the devs on Twitter. Niente. Nada. Zilche. I gave in and bought it on PS4, actually. But, it's a game that would be rather good in portable format.
This is Nintendo we're talking here; a company that doesn't even allow you to change the wallpaper of your screen, so...nope. Not happening, and if it does, most certainly will go the Sony root, where only Sony wireless headphones, costing nearly 100£ will work.
Not so great news as every so often i keep reading about this 3x, 6x bigger than planned DLC. I personally would probably like to see any kind of new material over a certain period than having to wait already one year and a half for some fabled DLC that by the looks of it, will arrive when the Switch 2 does as well. Finished the game when it came out and unfortunately haven't returned, but would like to. But seeing that it's not a big game per se, no reason to replay it.
@BloodNinja should be 2 patches away from being sold then.
And this NINJA APROVED does make you seem like a kid, or someone with brain damage who cannot understand what they're saying.
No offence, my guy.
@BloodNinja that's like trying to glue a jar you broke. No matter your skill or how much glue, truth is, you shouldn't have broken it. Games that cost 29£ shouldn't be "experiences" to be fixed post launch because 29£ with the economy as it is, it's pretty steep.
@JedRock i bought it on mobile. A good game, although with it's flaws, it still looks amazing on a good mobile. Give it a try, since they released it for Android a year ago. You can see the Silent Hill vibes all over it. But i don't it's coming out for the Switch.
@Shambo i truly agree with you, but unfortunately, nowadays, taking more time doesn't mean that will be better, and as some very know cases i won't mention here, it's not the excession, but it's rather becoming a rule that, either something is wrong with the game, etc, or something is seriously wrong.
If there's no news about Hollow Knight - Silksong or any, any good horror game, at all, I'm not interested. Probably they're going to announce some new Pokemon game, Mario, or a new Smash Brothers character...
That's what happens when you announce games 30 years before they are ready.
If he or any dev wants the fans to be chill, they should speak about it only when it's about to come out.
Never played a single one, so I'm not worried, as i use my Switch mainly for Metroidvanias and Horror games.
Good luck for them and for the fans who have to deal with this kinf of answers.
Seems good, but a lot of textures are missing. Even for the Switch, it looks bad. Hopefully devs will update this. And the brightness makes the game nearly impossible to see anything in front of you. If you brighten the game up, you'll see how many textures are actually missing.
5/10 until it's patched up. Still can understand some devs who downgrade the Switch versions so much, when you have games like W3, Sniper Elite 4, Crysis, Astral Chain, BOTW, Hellblade, etc, just showing that the Switch is very capable of handling good graphics.
I was thinking this would allow you to play on a tablet device. If it would, certainly useful, as when docked i have to take my TV with me. Seeing that i have a fairly big screen tablet (Samsung Tab S7+) i could see it's usefulness if it would allow me to connect to it. Other than that, a pretty expensive device, just to able to stream something online, which lets admit, not many of us do.
Ahah loved your article. For the same reason as you, i didn't finish the game as well, despite spending countless hours with it. Just the DLC....never seen such a hard to get piece of gear as that bike. XD
@RasandeRose seems quite a trend, actually. Just look at Bloodstained; sold more on the Switch than anywhere else, and still was less cared about than the rest.
@Guest88 if it means not owning what you bought with your hard earned cash, yes, i guess some people do hate change. And some years ago, as now, rights were being taken left or right, and those who were taking them thought the same.
-Why are people so angry? We're just taking ownership of their property.
-Some people hate change, i guess.
@nessisonett as it would, most people truly wouldn't like it to come at all, like me. I understand most people only have Switch, yada, yada, but a Ps4 now, second hand or not, is way cheaper and easier to find than a Switch. Secondly, this means more devs will take this route, because it can't "natively" run on the system, even when so many other games that weren't supposed to, like Sniper Elite 4, could, and so many others. With cuts, true, but -that- is better than nothing, not this thing they're trying to do, once again going over ownership of property by a consumer.
@Meikahidenori oh, yeah, I've noticed them, but still you need a reason to be there. I like the game, don't get me wrong, but i just think a bit more of the world were is set, would be nice. Tried the demo on Switch and it really looks impressive. A proof, like Astral Chain, that when built from the ground up, games can look amazing on the Switch.
I was was always curious about MH, bought quite a few as well, but what bugs me the most is the inability to proper explore without being in a hunt, a lá Death Stranding, were you cannot travel the world if you are not in a delivery. In my opinion they should change at least the way you interact with the world and NPCs.
Amazing how they keep updating it, long after it's release. Many companies should learn this instead of dropping support after a month or two, if the game fails to please expectations.
First time i really smiled looking at the current offers. This was just amazing and finally i managed to see games that barely have offers to have promotions.
@MattAllsopp i bought it and i have to say, not bad. Try it. No major bugs I've seen if none at all, but the game is like a slowburn. The graphics are quite good in my opinion. You should grab it now, that is with discount or at least i had a 6£ discount because i bought Don't Knock Twice.
@SimplyCinnamon53 honestly i very rarely saw it on sale. I waited for it to go on sale for a very long time. So long thst i kept the money until i was able to buy it full price.
Some good remakes they could bring, Soul Reaver, Urban Chaos, Tenchu, (man, how i miss Tenchu), Silent Hill (RIP), In Cold Blood, Nightmare Creatures 1 and 2... Seems to me they keep remaking the same games over and over again...Looks like they're running out of ideas while having new ideas. Good thing i lived those years and have fond memories of games being done to entertain.
@SwitchForce exactly. Loved your comment. To feed the poor? F...k that. To pay 34.99£ for something i don't own?? Oh, yeah, please take my money. Makes no sense.
Thank you for this article, Nintendolife. It's exactly what I've been saying. If the game was cheaper, i would probably think about it as i did with PSNow, XCloud and Stadia, but at this price, in this day and age, this is not a viable option. And for those saying that its a viable option for the people who don't own another system, i ask: the Switch is costing 279£ new, 240£ used. The Ps4 is costing 249£ new and 185£ used, and we didn't pay this much money to have an overside tablet to play cloud games. If the games doesn't run natively, don't put it on the system. Pc is full of games that will never see a release on consoles and you don't see them puting those on the cloud, because no one in their right minds its going to pay full price for something they don't own. And if you are, there is a serious need of revaluation of where are you spending your money. I bought Control on Ps4 for 10£ and didn't finished it due to how boring it is, i cannot see myself paying more than that for something i won't own.
@Darknyht exactly. I'm not against cloud, what I'm against is charging the same price for a game that in this case feels like rented, that you would expend in something that belongs to you. As i said I'm happy that some people don't mind expending 34.99£ for a 50/50 chance of being able to play the game until the end, because let's be honest, who ever heard about Ubitus? It means that are still people with a lot of money around even with all the problems we've been living with this virus, and I'm happy for them. I, for myself, will hard pass this kind of thing, and i would rather give my money to someone than pay this price for a game stored in Tawain, which is exactly where this company is from, despite some user in here stating that this game was being provided by xCloud.
@nessisonett well, I'll trust your word and honest to god, i don't care. If the game wasn't running, don't release it. But everyone's free to buy it. I for myself opted out of any cloud service since i dislike not owning what i pay for.
@nessisonett man, have you tried programming something? Particles?? You're talking about particles when the W3 literally has a living, breathing world around you? A world that remembers what you killed 300 saves ago? A world that spams miles and miles plus caves and water levels? Compared to that, Control seems like childs play no mather how many flashy effects they've crampled into the game, with everything being inside a closed environment that looks so much the same you need a degree to understand were you are in the map. But you are right, W3 is 5 years old and still manages to look way better than recent games.
@NGNYS i claped for you. Finally someone understands. These people just didn't want to had the trouble of porting it but still managed to charge 34.99£ for something i consider vapourware at the moment.

Re: Talking Point: Cloud Gaming On Switch – The Pros And Cons Of The Cloud
@SwitchForce exactly. Loved your comment. To feed the poor? F...k that. To pay 34.99£ for something i don't own?? Oh, yeah, please take my money.
Makes no sense.
Re: Control's eShop Page Reminds Us About Harsh Realities Of A Cloud-Based Future
Re: Hitman 3 Is Coming To Switch, Just Don't Try To Play This One Offline
Re: Interview: "There Would Be No Control On Switch Without The Cloud," Says Remedy
@nessisonett well, I'll trust your word and honest to god, i don't care. If the game wasn't running, don't release it. But everyone's free to buy it. I for myself opted out of any cloud service since i dislike not owning what i pay for.
Re: Interview: "There Would Be No Control On Switch Without The Cloud," Says Remedy
Re: Interview: "There Would Be No Control On Switch Without The Cloud," Says Remedy
@NGNYS i claped for you. Finally someone understands. These people just didn't want to had the trouble of porting it but still managed to charge 34.99£ for something i consider vapourware at the moment.
