It's hard to say what Onion Games are best known for. It might be their newer games, like meta-RPG Dandy Dungeon, which is about game development, or satirical RPG Moon, which is old enough to have been Toby Fox's inspiration for Undertale, but only came out in the West last year. It might be that you know Onion Games' founder, Yoshiro Kimura, who was the producer for Little King's Story and both No More Heroes games on the Wii.

Or, perhaps, you know Onion Games as the studio that has the power to remake cult favourites Chulip and Rule of Rose - a game in which you make friends by kissing them, and a horror game that freaked out the British media so much that it was eventually banned in the UK. Yoshiro Kimura's games have quite the range.

In a survey posted to Onion Games' Twitter, the developers asked their fans and followers to complete a survey before the 7th March, letting them know what they want the studio to work on next. The options include a remake of Chulip or Rule of Rose, a concert of Moon's music, and a new RPG that the studio has been working on. Kimura says that this will be his "last RPG".

Onion Games also posted a statement within the survey to their fans:

Hello to everyone all over the world,

This is Onion Games.

2020 was a tough year for everyone, but — thanks to your support — we were able to release moon in English for the first time, along with a physical release of Black Bird!

Over the past year, we've been running a survey to learn more about our fans. Now, for 2021, we'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions on what you wish Onion would release next, especially among our lineup of older, pre-Onion, legacy games.

Porting older games is always a huge challenge for us, and we can't 100% guarantee that any of these options can happen. But, even if a port only has a 1% chance of coming together, your vote could be a big step in making that dream come true!

We’re looking forward to hearing what you think, and will publish the results of the survey after everyone has a chance to vote!

With love,
Onion Games

What would you like to see next from Onion Games? Take the survey to let them know, of course, but tell us about it in the comments when you're done.
