Good decision to only include old Pokemon at first. I know a few people who haven't played since childhood giving this a try, and many unrecognisable Pokemon would alienate these kind of players.

@BLPs the UK is a large market and remains very wealthy. There's no way Nintendo is pulling out, even with things as bad as they are (do ANY supermarkets carry Nintendo stuff these days)?

Could've mentioned how "Rayman 2D" still managed to sell best on Wii U. Just like Sonic Racing Transformed. Games don't have to be dancing simulators to fit Nintendo's market.

I've hardly played Bingo Battle, but I agree that Pikmin 3 is up there with the Wii U's best. Personally I prefer Bayonetta 2 and Splatoon, but I would expect him to prefer his own game.

I went into Starfox Zero without any preconceptions and thought it was pretty good, but it was a mistake not to offer a classic control scheme.

Very interested in the Final Fantasy Tactics-like game.
I wonder if Nintendo will publish one of the 3DS Culdcepts in the West? They seem to be keen on keeping the quality 3DS titles flowing into 2017, perhaps until the likely holiday launch of the handheld NX?

That's a shame. I have both this and boulder dash xl on 3ds, and Digger Dan is by far the better game.

@VanillaLake I'm quite a supporter of the idea that Nintendo's consoles hold their games back, but you're not gonna get 1080p/60fps if the company went 3rd party. That's so rare on Xbox and PS4.

Grezzo probably learned some lessons in masterful game development when porting the Zeldas to 3DS - this could be really good.

The game has to take place some time after Wind Waker, as the Kokiri have already evolved into Koroks in the game, which iirc only happened after the Great Flood.

@FierceRagnar You can gain extra lives and the metal Mario power up without amiibo, so they aren't 'figure-locked gameplay elements'.
It's just someone having fun and enoying a product.

I'm thinking FIFA might prove me wrong but I believe they stopped making the PS2 version just before the PS4 released.

@RikuKH Cheers buddy - I looked it up and you're right, you can play exhibition matches with multiple cards.
It was the lack of online multiplayer that must've annoyed me as a kid - no-one I knew had the game card so I was stuck with the limited download play.

Why is everyone - including the reviewer - criticising the lack of multiplayer, as if it is a major part of the game?

Anyone who actually played the DS original knows the multiplayer was not worth your time - it was minigames, not actually full matches. Are you all just jumping on the bandwagon?

Definitely worth a watch - some of the games could be full price DLC-free poorly optimised NX launch titles. Nintendo fans, get excited!

@cfgk24 It's a placeholder from when the game was due 2016. It is common for retailers to list the release date as the latest in a game's release window.

I'd certainly buy darksiders one, but I'm not completely sure that's the title. Action adventure could be many different games. I'm thinking something like legend of kay again as that suits the audience

Well they're not calling it player's choice or anything, so this makes perfect sense as a nintendo selects. Should help shift some 2DS's.

I just spent nearly all my coins on warioware, but these are so cheap it shouldn't take long to save up and buy them, assuming the value of platinum coins is the same in Japan and Europe.

@rushiosan I loved the new Star Fox, but not allowing people to change their controls was a poor decision - perhaps due to the influence of Platinum? I know they never allow customisation of controls in their games.

@rjejr A minigame is not a new F Zero dude. It didn't even have F Zero in the title anyway.

@KO-Cub Sarcasm? I was pointing out Myamoto's hypocrisy - won't make a new F Zero because of no new ideas, but content to release the same basic game in many of Nintendo's other series over and over...
It's not me who can't come up with a new idea for F Zero, it's Miyamoto/Nintendo's employees.
I'm not currently employed by Nintendo so cannot have any direct influence on development on a new F Zero game. Sorry buddy.

A new, online F Zero/ remake would be incredible. But as Miyamoto said, they only make games when they have a new idea for it.
That's why New Super Mario Bros is dead, and Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Party...

Also, given Nintendo's recent track record, a new F Zero would include a gimmick no-one asked for that detracts from the game.

Just cos Zeldas the only playable game doesn't mean we're not gonna get new info and trailers for other games coming this year.

The thing is, it will be like 20% discounts on £40 downloads of games that are £15-£20 boxed if this sale came to Europe. Hard to get excited for.

One of my favourite games of all time, released back when the Mario series wasn't afraid to try something new and interesting.

You should play Monkey Ball 3D. It's short and easy but pretty good fun, and the Mario Kart clone in it isn't bad either.
