He expects we'll see a "big sales spike over the next few months"? Consoles sell more during the holiday season?! Wow, I'm so glad you're paid for this!
That is a very good idea and I'm surprised it hasn't been done before. Hopefully you can click them in as well and they become the new ZL/ZR buttons. Add analogue back to your triggers Nintendo and you finally have a decent controller!
I found Trine 2 pretty dull when I first tried to play it, but I'll give Trine Enchanted a go and see if I can get into the series. I suppose it's funally time to pick up Airace on 3DS as well
@Mida Agreed, the GamePad does have this habit of holding back certain games, or simply adding nothing at all to the experience. The list of games significantly improved by the controller is short, unfortunately.
@Mida The problem with Starfox is outputting complex action on two different screens at once - with MK8 the gamepad simply displayed a map/horn or mirrored the main screen. A large chunk of the Wii U's processing power is used on the two distinct displays.
I still can't shake the feeling that this is little more than a slapdash attempt at selling amiibo. It comes across as something that should have been a feature in a future full Animal Crossing title. But I guess we're not getting another one ot those 'til NX
Really hoping dementium hits Europe. Survival horror tends to sell in decent numbers on Nintendo consoles, so hopefully sales are strong enough in NA to justify a localisation effort.
Limited quantities. Why, at this stage, for any reason other than to maintain the state of demand overwhelming supply? Sneaky tactics the from NoA tbh.
@NowhereMan11 I know a lot of people who cancel pre-orders once reviews are out. It is beneficial for many when reviews are live before the game releases.
Nice to hear it's looking promising. I really hope the micro transactions aren't too bad. At this point I'm just buying the game to have it. It's such an interesting curio. If I end up having fun with it, then that's a plus
I'm surprised at how many people commenting are buying the game. Perhaps if sales are decent enough we'll get the support of a patch or two to help solve some of the issues the game currently possesses? This kind of game really suits DLC as well, so I hope that isn't off the table.
Surprising but sensible approach. The series wouldn't usually attract many sales outside its core fan base, so make an attractive retail version with larger profit margins to satisfy this fanbase, with a free to start eShop model to attract new fans. Free to play/start is definitely a good choice for Nintendo when releasing games in its more niche exclusive series. (Steel Diver as another example).
@Nintend0ro Having two consoles set up isn't ideal, especially as I already have a PS3 and Xbox 360, with a PS4 inevitable. There's limited space in my set up. I'm more concerned about download titles anyway. All those titles available on the eShop would require new versions to run on the new hardware without backwards compatibility. Plus I'd have to pay for them again :/ I'm hoping for a 3DS-DSiWare style integration of the NX and Wii U eShops, whereby Wii U titles are available to download and play on NX, provided you own the necessary controllers.
I'm already doubtful I'll buy the NX at launch, but no backwards compatibility would seal the deal. We already know the NX is going to take a while to attain a strong software catalogue - it's a Nintendo console - so without Wii and Wii U game support the console is far less attractive to me.
I was really looking forward to this, but the finished product does look poor in that video. I'll still likely buy; it's not often we get a Nintendo exclusive "mature" shooter... may wait for a price drop though.

There's no way we're getting a numbered title in a main Nintendo series on iOS. Forget about this scaremongering.

Re: Rumour: XSEED Less Than Happy With Nintendo's About-Face On Publishing Devil's Third
That's business, Xseed. Nintendo fans in the US cried out for Nintendo to publish the game, so Nintendo reacted to this. No need to sulk about it!
