Such a bizarre idea for a game.

I loved Fusion as a game, but I hated that suit design. Looks like a melted diving suit.

They're both... fine. At first I leaned towards Japan, but it's awfully busy. I feel they went a bit overboard. Decided to go with NA/EU because I like the actual background.

I like the Disgaea series but I'm bored by the more Japan-centric setting here, so I'll probably skip this one. It's already a deeply anime inspired series, and that's fun when mixed with western fantasy tropes, subverted or otherwise... this looks to lose that charm.

The thing that jumps out to me as having aged badly is how unclear what you're supposed to do is sometimes. In the first level, how are you supposed to know what the uplink screen is, hidden behind boxes even. Or that you're supposed to put a modem thing on that, but just press the action button on the server? Also annoying that you can blow up the door controls in the second level and it won't tell you that you just failed the mission because of that. I'm still having fun with it, but I'm getting through these levels based entirely on memory from N64 version.

Been playing with my N64 Switch controller, the controls felt bizarre at first, but after finishing the first mission, it clicked into place for me. I won't claim they're perfect and astounding, but it def wasn't as bad as I feared.

Plays fine for me in the actual game, just started playing it a bit ago, it sounds great.

I obviously voted for the Japanese one, but I actually like the NA one a lot, you guys are being too harsh.

I loved this game, and I deeply want it on my Switch. I get some people were upset that it was a departure from the other games in the series, but it's fantastic and needs to be released again with a bit more horsepower under the hood.

I would love a remastered, retranslated Castlevania II. Still 2D pixels and everything, just maybe add some fun lighting effects... but it REALLY needs better localization.

A great game, but not enough effort put into this release to be worth the price they're asking.

Japanese one feels pretty generic to me, whereas I don't often see frozen girl like that, so NA/EU wins for originality, also for matching the game itself better.

I love the large sky above on the Japanese one, but I'm bored by the box art trope of all the characters just standing there, so the NA box gets the vote from me, just for having a more interesting scene composition.

@project_ Incorrect, Anniversary Edition comes with all Creation Club content ever released, plus a bunch more that wasn't released previously.

Seeing people saying some wrong things. You don't buy the extra content, the Anniversary Edition, whether upgraded or purchases whole, includes all the Creation Club content with the purchase. I have the PC version, this is how it works. Also, here is some official explanation of what's included: "The Anniversary Edition and Upgrade includes over 500 unique pieces of content from Creation Club, including quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells, and more."

Would love this, the Switch version doesn't have mods, and so would benefit the most from all the creation club content.

I watched it about halfway through. It wasn't terrible, but wasn't especially good either. Had very little to do with Resident Evil, an adaptation in name only. I found the flashback stuff more compelling than the future times stuff, which looked cheap and unconvincing. Overall, I rate it a "meh"

Too bad SNK is owned by that murderous Saudi prince so I will never buy anything of theirs again.

@Tailesque Funnily enough, I thought the Japanese goofy blood drop font looked tacky.

I always like seeing Dracula, but honestly the JP cover is too busy, and I don't like how Drac seems to be getting his eye poked by Hugh's nose.

It's actually kind of weird to see Steve, I get he's the default but when you actually play Minecraft, you just... never see him anymore.

NFTs have already crashed and burned, and these guys can't even come up with a compelling game plan (no pun intended) beyond "It's the future!"

I'll be surprised if these ever even ship, I'll eat a hat store if it succeeds.

Everybody talking about reviewers not finishing the game, if they got an advance copy it's entirely possible it wasn't broken when they reviewed the game, and a day one patch (1.01) inadvertently broke something since then. Patches break things all the time.

Already played most of these to death... I'll buy it at $20 perhaps, for Darkstalkers, but not $40.

I actually thought the Launch Base tracks were better, but the other two were "meh."

US one isn't horrible or anything, I actually like it... but the Japanese one is so evocative! Excites the imagination just looking at it!

FINALLY got one! I check that page all the time, I've noticed the restocks seem to happen between 12pm-1pm EST, so check then!

I'm not usually a fan of rap being wedged into stuff (Mortal Kombat 11 trailer was terrible), but I don't hate this. It's adorably goofy.

I really like Bowser in the Japanese version, but to me the NA version has the stronger composition. Japanese one feels a bit busy.

Looking forward to this, the price was right for me to pre-order, but I likely won't play till the post-launch DLC.

Dark Souls is pretty endlessly bleak if you're paying attention. I didn't think of Gone Home as very sad?

@Rambler Sure, but genre names change over time as gameplay mutations and new technologies created new genres. Shooter, adventure, etc

Arrg, I want one of these so badly...

I thought "beat 'em ups" were games like Streets of Rage or Golden Axe, where you scroll along and beat up multiple enemies. "Fighting games" are 1 on 1 type games like this and King of Fighters or Mortal Kombat?

Would love this, actually. Makes the most sense for Switch, since it's the only version where you can't add mods.

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how hilariously terrible the first non-EA FIFA game is inevitably going to be.

Maybe he developed anxiety problems. Also, I can't believe Castlevania III sold poorly, that game is one of the best on NES, hands down.
