Bethesda has launched a Switch eShop sale of all its titles, with discounts of 50% being the minimum while Doom Eternal (and its Deluxe Edition, which includes both DLC packs) both get a chunky 67% sliced off their full price.
In real money, that brings the base game down to $19.79 and the Deluxe Edition to $29.69. Elsewhere, Quake is down to $3.99 — not bad for a Nintendo Life 10/10! — and Dooms 1, 2 and 64 are all just $2.49. The first two games there got another free update just the other day, too. After a rocky launch they've both been patched to become really fantastic ports that are definitely worth checking out.
The sale is live now and runs until 28th April at 11:59pm PT. Below we've taken screenshots from Nintendo's sales page for your reference:
Any of these you haven't picked up yet? Going to go for Skyrim and have it on every platform in the house? Let us know what's tickling your fancy below.

Skyrim $30 wow,truly an opportunity not to be missed.
The news image at the top made me realize how copy and pasted Bethesda box art is.
@HotGoomba Except for Wolfenstein II, those aren't box art images.
@Branovices I was just about to say the same. No matter what you feel about Bethesda as a company, you got to admit that DOOM games have had some amazing box art.
Don't forget Chex Quest HD is only $0.18.
Time to get Quake, then ...finally.
@artax33 Woah! I don't know why this doesn't show up on DekuDeals, but sure enough it's only 18 cents. I downloaded that in a heartbeat!
Skyrim $30 lol who's paying that for an 11 year old port that looks worse than it did back then
New games are coming fast, uhh huh, and they're all on Gamepass. C'mon! https://youtu.be/zuHndXSDXWc
Had that pop in my head when I read this sale was happening. Love having both a Switch and XSX.
Wow that Doom Eternal deal sure looks good. Shame I'm waiting for a physical release.
Time to get the Doom Eternal DLC.
@UltimateOtaku91 your glasses must be up for a replacement if you actually think the Switch version looks worse than the first console iterations of Skyrim (PS3/X360). Fortunately the Switch version looks and runs better than the original console versions.
I have DOOM, 2, 3, DOOM64, 2016, Eternal + DLC, Quake and Wolf2, every single one of them fantastic on Switch.
It's a good time to be a Doom fan now, the value you get for every game are unmatch compare to other retro or retro style fps.
I have all of these games except for Youngblood and I'm not planning on getting that one.
I wonder why doom 64 doesn't support mods like 1 & 2 do
Quake for only 4 bucks? Definitely getting that one.
Dont forget Commander Keen is available on the eshop also.
@Kainbrightside agreed NV s the only game i have a remote interest from all these. Well besides if they released a Commander Keen collection.
Definitely need to grab that Ancient Gods expansion pass for Doom Eternal. I have yet to play that on Switch or PS4 so I'll buy it here! I already own everything else on the list in physical form for Switch (aside from Eternal which doesn't have a physical version yet).
@Specter_of-the_OLED I finished Ion Fury a few days ago and it was amazing. Definitely get it if you haven't already.
@BTB20 I put about 60 hours of playtime into Youngblood on PS4 to get the platinum. It was actually really fun. Got it on Switch too.
@JustMonika
Jop, played it alone and had fun doing a mission here and there.
Can see that with a buddy it is pretty much fun.
The classic Doom games and Quake offer probably the best value for money on Switch, even at their normal price. The amount of content in each of them is crazy.
❗️'Fallout 3/New Vegas' with all DLC and then I'll give you some of this: 💷💷💷
Oh man I'd be so excited right now if I hadn't already bought every Bethesda game on switch years ago. Most for full price lol
Still need to finish Doom 3...Maybe one day Eternals will go on a better sale for me to bite on.
@artax33 Hmm says 4.99 for me. Guess I was too late.
@JustMonika I pre ordered the deluxe version of doom eternal but by the time the expansions were out I'd moved onto to other games so I haven't played them yet either I'm currently playing through the doom games though so I'll get to it soon
I’ve never played Skyrim, and to my eyes it’s one of the better looking games on the Switch. Kinda waiting for more than 50%, but yeah I’ll totally buy it.
I have all the games I want up there. Good gaming to be had up on that list there. Still good after all this time too (Doom, Quake and Skyrim)
And don't forget Bethesda Pinball (DLC of Pinball FX 3), also on sale.
@SteamEngenius To be honest, Doom Eternal is totally worth $65 .. I'd even buy it for a third time at $65 if a physical copy comes available for Switch. I own all the Doom games in physical form for Switch. Doom 2016, Doom 64 and Doom: Classics Collection.
Wolfenstein Youngblood is almost tempting at that price if not for the fact that it looks unbearably cringe-inducing. If I can ditch the girls and opt for a silent protagonist, I’d be inclined.
DOOM Eternal is also tempting, but for the price, I’d rather grab it on PC if there is no physical option.
@Xboxtendo : That’s just Keen Dreams that was produced under contract for SoftDisk.
It seems that the port released in early 2019 was pulled at some point, which is a shame, because it was a very faithful one, almost indistinguishable from the DOS original (with added music and optional new sound effects).
Meanwhile, the so-called “Definitive Edition” that is now available (and was produced by somebody else) is shockingly bad, with its floaty physics, amateurish new levels, and distorted/altered sprites.
I would love a Commander Keen collection on Switch (and physical to boot), but without Keen 6, they shouldn’t even bother. Keen 6 was in the same licensing hell as Spear of Destiny (both of which were licensed to a now defunct company called FormGen), but somehow Spear of Destiny and its once-rare expansions are now widely available, yet Keen 6 remains in limbo for some reason.
The GBC game would be a welcome addition as well, however mediocre it may be.
@BlueGBAMicro I'd for those to be on Switch. That's my biggest want in gaming right now aside from a few visual novels that I wish would either be localized or simply put on Switch.
@OorWullie Wondering if Quake II Remastered will be dropping this year. Guess we'll see at Quake con. Still waiting for my physical copy of that and Dusk for Switch from LRG.
@Would_you_kindly Cause it originally was not a PC game but there is a Doom 64 PC fan remastered called Doom 64EX with mods if you want to try that.
@Specter_of-the_OLED thanks! I knew something like 64ex existed, but I couldn't recall what it was called.
@JustMonika Already got it digital on Steam for a while now but may double dip for the physical version on Switch.
@Specter_of-the_OLED If it ever gets a physical version. Only way I see that currently happening is if LRG did it.
Skyrim still 30... lol.
NV still has crippling issues w/ the PC version... a Switch port would be nice in theory, but if we ever actually got one it'd inevitably be a bit of a nightmare.
As one of the five people in the world who's never played Skyrim this is pretty tempting. On the other hand, as one of the two people in the world who's never played Breath of the Wild, I'd like to get my money's worth on that game first.
@nimnio if Skyrim turns out to be up to your taste. 30 is a bargain looking at the hours of fun you'll get out of it
@JustMonika The other Game I'd LOVE to see on Switch is 'Sleeping Dogs' (and all DLC). [I also like the two 'True Crime' Games before it]
'The Outer Worlds' is my favourite Switch Game (just beating 'Valkyria Chronicles 4').
Though I'd love Fo3/NV to be on Switch, I fear it'd STILL be full of the bugs and technical problems that were abundant on PS3 😕
@JustMonika Quake II would be amazing, as would Hexen. I'm hopeful ID are working on a Quake reboot as we speak.
I noticed you enjoyed Ion Fury. I haven't bought it yet but I will eventually. I bought Project Warlock after absolutely loving DUSK but I was a little disappointed with what I played, albeit not very much.
@kurtasbestos I'm one of the other 5 who hasn't played it. I wonder who the other 3 are.
@OorWullie Count me in as another one who hasn't played it. Just 2 left..
Did I misread things when I saw that you have to create a Bethesda account to play any of their games on Switch? That alone is enough to turn me off from buying their stuff.
Do all of you see that sale in switch eshop? I can only see that on web but not in consoles itself, EU region.
@BlueGBAMicro Yeah, I just bought the Murder DLC for The Outer Worlds and am planning on a third playthrough this Summer 😁
@OorWullie, @stuntzombie, @kurtasbestos
I’m joining this newly formed club!…never played Skyrim either. I’m not really even considering it during this current sale. The game is a decade old, I’m sure it’s still a good game but maybe it’s time has passed me by. Perhaps with a larger discount I could be enticed. I did finally pick up QUAKE tho, I’m still without Doom1,2 and 64 tho so maybe I’ll feed the backlog.
Just 1 left…
@BlueGBAMicro, @JustMonika
I’ve had Outer Worlds for a long while now, have yet to make it to the title screen. Damn near forgot I even had it, I believe I was turned off by the initial bugs at launch , I’ve heard the game has been patched and improved. There’s is quite a bit of DLC support for this title, you guys might encourage me to finally unwrap the game and give it a go. I’ve got no idea what the game entails
This would excite me if the motion controls weren't so awful.
@Rainz Mass Effect meets Fallout: New Vegas
@Rainz Looks like I’m number 5. Should we get shirts or something?
I'm sure that all of these games have been cheaper in the past.
@Rainz I never played Skyrim either, always been more of a Fallout fan, but I plan on getting Skyrim from Walmart possibly when I get paid next.
@Rainz A grand adventure in the future in space.
Just being on the first world alone and looking into the sky and over the horizon blew my mind.
Oh - I already have all listed games 😅
Might have to get Quake and doom 64. I am currently playing Skyrim - I started over a year ago and tend to play for a few weeks and then put it down for a while to play something else, then come back again. I think I enjoy it more each time I come back to it. Gradually exploring the world, discovering new people and stories, improving my character, joining various organisations etc. There are some elements that frustrate a bit but it’s still a fantastic experience.
Skyrim is one of my fave games of all time. Second playthings ugh just now on Xbox 360, and absolutely loving it. I can almost justify 30$ for a portable version and a third play through at some point but….not quiet…..if you haven’t played it and you like the genre, you owe it to yourself to get it, 11 years old or not.
@JokerCK Its still way more expensive compare to similar discounts on other platforms. I mean Skyrim special edition (4K, 60FPS) on PS5 was $19.
@JustMonika
Mass Effect x Fallout:New Vegas is quite the mashup! Thanks for the comparison, much better idea of what to expect of The Outer Worlds now
@Nancyboy
Welcome to the club! Looks like the team has assembled…us yet to play Skyrim folk need to stick together!…all 5 of us! Now all we need is a Tree house as our base of operations lol
@BlueGBAMicro
The game sounds better the more I hear of it. Sounds like it runs pretty well on the Switch! It’s moved up some notches on my Backlog list.
@MischiefMaker
Perhaps I’ll break the Oath and finally give the game a go. With BOTW 2 delayed it might be a good time to try Skyrim. The game seems almost too massive to complete but maybe playing in snippets is the way to go. I guess the game looked a bit robotic being over 10 years old, but sounds like it’s still worth while experience
Need More port Bethesda
i already have all this game
@Rainz Yeah there’s definitely some clunk to Skyrim, and it took a bit of getting used to coming from BOTW (just not being able to climb anything felt quite restrictive at first, and there’s so many different stats to level and directions to build you character in). But lots of strengths, and I think if you go in with the intention to explore, grow your character in your own way and experience your own stories rather than complete every quest then you’ll likely get a lot out of it.
@SteamEngenius Not sure whats up, still shows its $0.18 for me. Though if you are looking at DekuDeals.com that still shows 4.99. I should point out I am in the US, deals are sometimes different from country to country. I forget sometimes this is a UK based site.
@JustMonika It got a physical release already, just that I didn't get around to getting it yet. The physical version is available on Amazon.
@Specter_of-the_OLED Doom Eternal hasn't had a physical release yet for Switch. It would be in my collection alongside Doom 2016, Doom: Classics Collection and Doom 64 if that was the case. I had the PS4 version at launch 2 years ago.
@JokerCK A quality game you can take on the go. Go buy it!
