The early success of the switch seems to be infectious! I hope for Nintendo and all the fans that this continues and isn't just early adopter enthusiasm.

I live both styles of Zelda game! Why not shorten the release window between games and alternate between the two styles. 5-6 years is to long to wait so a different type of game every 2-3 years would be great! They have both the handheld and home console teams working in the same system now so it very possible

@Anti-Matter I only sold it because I could get all my money back that I paid for it. I'll repurchase when the price drops at Christmas! There is nothing else that I would buy releasing this year anyway

The other console manufacturers don't need an install base to get games made for their systems! That's a Nintendo only excuse

I sold my switch yesterday to cex because I've finished Zelda and they are paying £280 for the console. I'll buy again if they bring out a real metroid game

@roboshort neither game managed to sell the Wii u! So neither can be classed as system sellers imo

The incredibly strong start is down to one amazing game! They can't and won't sustain anywhere near those numbers. Mario kart 8 couldn't move the Wii u and splatoon isn't a system selling game either. Can't imagine they'll be big demand again until Mario is released at Christmas tbh

The slowdown you get on the switch in towns or when lots of enemies are on screeen is unbearable! Still very enjoyed game though. I do feel like Zelda has maxed out the potential of the switch already which is very worrying for future prospects

Bought one today unexpectedly tbh! Local store had a few in stock and I couldn't resist Zelda. Only problem is me and the wife have plans so no gametime until tomorrow 😩

it will be interesting to see if Nintendo have handed any switch's out to popular YouTubers like jacksepticeye, pewdiepie at even massive Nintendo fanboys like boogie2988. It would certainly help with the teen demographic

What some people can't seem to grasp is that Nintendo have almost placed themselves perfectly to compete with the tablet market!! They could easily compete with apple iPad with this product if marketed and serviced correctly. If Nintendo ever hope to have Wii like success with a tablet computer shouldn't they at least offer comparable features??? I'm a Nintendo guy from 8 to 38!! But they've lost the plot many years ago unfortunately

A casual consumer looking to pick up a tablet would consider the switch if it had comparable features to an iPad! Crazy decision to make not having a web browser!!! The executives at Nintendo are completely delusional as to what people want.

Let's bring out a portable tablet like gaming device to compete with things like the apple ipad 👍🏻 Sounds like a great idea but in the hands of these guys they'll find anyway possible to make it irrelevant. If you could browse the Internet and play aaa games all on one device joe public might actually buy a switch instead of an iPad for their kids.

It's very worrying for Nintendo that a site dedicated to Nintendo! Mostly visited by Nintendo fans, has so much negativity in the comments section. I don't remember this much negativity from the fan base before the wii u. It seems to me that Nintendo have lost half of their fans overnight.

I've bought every Nintendo console since the nes! I won't be buying a switch sadly. I hope Nintendo either have huge success or huge failure with this console. Huge success will mean they talk me around 👍🏻 Huge failure should mean Nintendo become a 3rd party publisher so more people can experience their great games.

It's not going to go viral because of its pricing! Nintendo should be using the mobile platform as a driving force to get more people to buy their home and portable consoles.
The current pricing will probably mean the only people that buy it are already Nintendo fans. They really do make some strange decisions.

If I ever buy the switch it will be with a pro controller so that the console never needs to move from my tv cabinet.

Bought a wii u day one! Sold it when Nintendo announced that Zelda wouldn't be shown at e3 last year. Never once regretted selling it tbh!! I certainly won't rush to buy the switch until I see what support it's going to get after a year or two. Xbox Scorpio and the ps5 will probably kill the switch

I guess Nintendo don't really want to sell many Wii u's this Christmas as it may put people off from buying the switch a few months later.

N64 and GameCube were systems that underachieved but are remembered fondly because of outstanding groundbreaking games like mario 64, oot, wave racer, Luigi's mansion, resident evil 4! I honestly can't see any wii u game being looked back on on the same way.

The system has had it highs but nothing you could consider groundbreaking or generation defining! Those days seem sadly lost to Nintendo now!! God I hope things change with the switch

It looks great but so did the wii u! I personally won't be buying one for at least 12 months after the launch date because I felt burnt from buying a wii u sag one. I want to know if publishers like fromsoft will actually support the system after the initial ds3 port!!
