I'm almost certain the next Smash is gonna reboot the franchise. That would be the perfect time for someone else to take the helm and honestly, if Sakurai hasn't been training someone to take over that's foolishness on his part.
I have a sneaking suspicion it's gonna go as well as Nickelodeon All Star Brawl, but NGL if this includes shows some Kipo and/or She-Ra characters would make me consider it.
Oooo I really want either Golden Sun or Eternal Darkness myself, particularly the latter. I would LOVE to see what modern sanity effects would look like and though I really enjoyed Eternal Darkness there were some issues that I think could be addressed in a sequel.
I predict they'll add it to the NSO for the next system since they've been talking a lot about keeping the service moving forward. It'll be a good way to pad the launch.
If there were no exclusives all that would determine which console you bought would be brand loyalty and whatever perks the console manufacturer could build into their system, and honestly Microsoft loses in that scenario as well. I'm guessing they're only saying this to try to prove that they won't make COD exclusive tho and don't actually believe this.
Also, maybe it's my bias but I would absolutely pin the concept of console exclusives on Nintendo or even Sega before I would Sony. It's a well known fact that Nintendo lives and dies by their first party exclusives and Sega having games and features that Ninten-dont is what started the console wars in the first place.
Bobby Kotick having poor judgment? Noooo never! 🙃
COD probably would've sold like gangbusters on Switch too bc kids whose parents bought them a Switch thinking it's "safe" would get it Day 1. Online would be interesting tho.
@AstroTheGamosian I think TP Ganondorf is a great final exam for the game, taking a lot of the things you learned thus far and putting them to the test. However WW Ganondorf has the benefit of being a more fascinating character and his battle being more cinematic with the waters rushing in to wash away Hyrule once and for all. Its kind of a toss up between which you prefer.
@somnambulance But see you have to prepare and have a decent level of skill for the TotK final boss, even if you've done all the story stuff. If you've done the story stuff in BOTW the final boss's health is knocked down to half and Daruk will pretty much do the parrying for you.
Decent list. I def think Colgera should be here for the cinematic feel alone. I would probably also remove Puppet Ganon for either Demise, a Ghirahim, or Monk Maz Koshia. Most of these are cool choices though. Esp that TotK final boss. Whew!
I've been playing through FF1 and intend on working my way up to the FFVII remake (maybe by then it'll all be out). It's fun and its age only slightly shows. It is kinda annoying that I had to open a bunch of other games to keep them all from cluttering my home screen though.
TTYD is one of those weird times where I can recognize that a sequel improves greatly on its predecessor but I still prefer the first one (Kingdom Hearts 2 is another example). That said, I no longer hate that Nintendo abandoned this formula because it made way for something like Bug Fables which improves the formula even more.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Disney Illusion Island
Most of these reviews talk about how easy it is. Guess it's good Mario Wonder is apparently gonna be old school platformer hard to compensate

@johnedwin Meh. I think a good part of it is because a lot of people aren't fans of the direction FF went

Re: Walmart's Pre-Order Bonus For Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Has Been Revealed (North America)
NGL that is a nice bonus. Clearly I had no chance in getting it but it was a nice bonus.
Re: Random: Stop Calling Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl A 'Smash-Killer', Pleads Lead Artist
Wait didn't THEY insinuate the game was a Smash-killer? And now that it...wasn't...they wanna take it back? 🤣🤣

Re: Video: So, About That Pokémon Legends: Arceus Post Game
This was my first Pokémon since Ruby/Sapphire and I loved every moment of my 110+ hour playthrough. Maybe not being a long time fan is a benefit because the people in this video sounded miserable.
