If itâs not going to follow the game itâs supposed to be based upon, why do it at all?
Itâs only getting an anime because the games were popular enough to warrant one. If you want to do a new original story then donât scam fans into thinking itâs going to be based on the games.
I think the next main fighting game or spin-off should be Capcom X Street Fighter with half the cast being from Street Fighter and the other half being from a variety of different Capcom games.
Or Capcom Fighting Evolution/Jam 2 which would be much better game than the original but would only have a maximum of four representatives from each franchise. Street Fighter as a whole would be represented by only four characters.
Iâd rather play Wii U Wind Waker and Twilight Princess more than their GameCube originals. The HD graphics and quality of life improvements just trash the originals that backwards compatibility isnât worth it in this case.
The tragedy was NintendoLife rating the Wiiware games 5/10 for being straight ports despite them being amazing games and incredibly enjoyable games. You didnât need to use the optional motion controls if you didnât want to but NintendoLife marked it down for simply including them.
I had avoided the original for years as I had never played the actual Borderlands games and had no interest. I had played The Walking Dead, Batman and A Wolf Among Us and enjoyed them. Then when Tales From The Borderlands went on sale this year, I downloaded it and quite enjoyed it. Iâll be looking into this new one.
There should be Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Sega Game Gear, Sega Master System and TurboGrafx-16 support added to the standard pass. And Sega 32X, Sega CD, Turbo CD and Game Boy Advance support for the expansion pass.
There would be a guaranteed one game every week, excluding the special versions
@HammerGalladeBro America didnât get Puyo Puyo so no need to release Kirbyâs Avalanche in Japan because itâs just an Americanisation of Puyo Puyo.
And Kirbyâs Star Stacker came out late in the Super Famicomâs life in 1997 that the Nintendo 64 had already been released so no point bringing it to America as it just wouldnât have sold.
Fight Fever on the NeoGeo is the most blatant rip-off of Street Fighter II. Fighters History may be infamous of going to court for being similar to Street Fighter II but Fight Fever flew under the radar for doing so. Check out this image https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/neo/562903-fight-fever/images/210
@CharlieGirl Yeah, sure I get you want to play the quirky games just because theyâre quirky - but going back to them now youâll see they actually arenât that enjoyable to play games despite them being quirky. Many just donât hold up any more and several didnât hold up as being enjoyable in the 90s either when they were new.
If you get the timing right, you can mash the Shoryuken command in SF1 over and over and it will sometimes keep working, allowing you to overwhelm your opponent- even Sagat.
I would also claim that Street Fighter 1 was the best one-on-one fighting game of the 1980s. It was clunky to play, but they all were back then. Graphics were great though and still look decent today for a game from 1987.
There should be a third Arcade stadium consisting of all the remaining arcade games from 80s and early 90s yet to appear in the first or second stadium, even if they have already appeared in another collection - excluding the licensed games of course. Include some of the 3D games from the late 90s and early 2000s as well.
@WhiteTrashGuy Only actual Tetris games are allowed to use the Tetris name. There was a time when the Tetris company didnât care; hence Tetris Attack and Tetrisphere (maybe Hatris and Wordtris too). But now they do and we canât even get Tetris Attack anymore; we have to get the Japanese original Panel De Pon.
Iâd like to see 32X and Sega CD games on Switch. I think the main criticism of the games originally was more due to the utter mess of setting the 32X and Sega CD consoles up. Iâve never played them but Iâve watched the AVGN episode. Bringing them to Switch would be a good move.
@DoomGuyBFG I see this week as Nintendo wanting to release something but not having anything to release. Just because you can remember the SNES having some great games doesnât mean that Nintendo has access to them or are waiting to release them for events later such as Christmas.
Itâs sad that Final Fantasy VI was overshadowed by Final Fantasy VII. Sure FFVII is a great game but so was FFVI. No remakes or spin-offs for Locke, Terra and the others.
I downloaded this as part of the âtwo cats, one dogâ bundle for ÂŁ0.89. For less than ÂŁ1 for three small basic games, it was okay. This is the only way you should download this game; itâs a serious rip-off at full price - DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE!
Itâs an easy platform game for kids. I breezed through the fifty stages in twenty - thirty minutes. You jump on all the other animals to complete the stage. Thatâs it. Thereâs no story, no timer, no lives, no puzzles, no points, no bonuses, no bosses, no bottomless pits, not even a number showing how many animals you have left to jump on to complete the stage. You donât have any special moves and there are no items to pick up. The platforming is very simple and the stages are short; the only slight challenge is that some of the animals are quicker than others, and a few occasions there is limited room to jump. The dog is cute with a wagging tail and controls well enough; the jumping mechanics are decent for such a simple game. It was satisfying jumping on multiple enemies without touching the ground but the game doesnât reward you for doing so. The only enemy that gives you any trouble is the mushroom as it can hit you if you are standing slightly over the edge of a one block high platform. Once you jump on all the animals, the stage ends and the next stage starts. There are only three different backgrounds - grass, ice and fire and I think there is only one background music running throughout. If there is more than one, it didnât stand out as being different. Having completed all fifty stages, there is no incentive to replay them. It was fun for the low cost I paid for it but itâs definitely a game for young kids. I can pretend that this was originally an NES or Game Boy game from the 80s remastered for the Switch. Again, definitely do not download it at full price; check for a bundle on sale or wait for one if itâs not currently on sale.
I have to rate this a 1/10 for the high cost they are charging for it. But because of the bundle being on sale, itâs the most enjoyable 1/10 game Iâve played and was worth the ÂŁ0.30 I paid for it. I played it for longer than some games I paid more for.
@TKundNobody You could pay for single games on Wii U Virtual Console, but Nintendo fans didnât want to do that so Nintendo had to rethink their distribution and NSO is the result.
Many videogame characters undergo changes to their design over the years. Just look at Mario. People only have a problem when the redesign goes completely against the source material, swapping certain traits for another.
@Fizza Congoâs Quest is part of the Joe & Mac series, while Rival Turf is the first of the Rushing Beat series (itâs name in Japan) which includes Brawl Brothers and Peace Keepers.

âa rip off is a rip off is a rip off. Same game, different skins.â

No. They would not. So they had to change the skin for the Super Nintendo version to feature a Nintendo owned character.
