@RubyCarbuncle I completely disagree. Tips + training drills explain the battle mechanics perfectly. Youtubers basically teach you how to exploit the game, which is fine, but completely unnecessary for the main story.
The two previous games were really bad in explaining stuff. Xenoblade 3 is so much better in that department.

I have spoken against Game Freak for years. About how they are making the same game again and again and again. I am more than thrilled to see the direction they decided to go with Legends. At last, a next gen Pokemon game. I just preordered it and I can't wait to play it.

@JohnnyC I am not expecting them to pull off something like botw. GameFreak is not talented enough as a studio. What I seriously don't get is why they decided to cut platinum content. Why they decided not to add post game content. ORAS did it years ago. To this day, platinum is the ultimate version.

Looks like we are not getting better pokemon games anytime soon. Fans seem to have settled for mediocrity.

Game freak is giving us a remake of a game that is actually worse than the original. 6/10 sounds about right.

The glaring issue with the remake beyond the atrocious and inconsistent art style is the fact that it lacks platinum features. There is just no excuse for that.

They've been through a lot, but still they refuse to fix their games. They have been making the same game practically for decades. No ambition, minimum effort.

Please just stop making excuses for everything Pokemon company tries to pull. Gamers are the reason the franchise is in such a sorry state (myself included, since I have bought most of their games). Stop giving them your money and accepting subpar games. Make them be better. These remakes show that Pokemon company has listened to none of the sword/shield criticism. Their games lately are completely stale, unambitious and low effort.

This is a new low, even for Pokemon company. I mean they could at least pretend that they are selling two different products, instead of locking content from buyers.

@thiz how is this a wild card? SMT 3, 4 and 4a were all amazing games.

The game is mediocre at best. At least they did a good job with the switch port.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey
SMT Devil Survivor 1 & 2
Dragon Quest V (One of the best in the series)

They are not even trying anymore

It's a huge improvement. The graphics were fine back in the day, but even then the character faces looked super weird.

Nintendo has to step up their online platform. It's not even funny anymore. They are going out of their way to reinvent the wheel, when they can just see what the competition is doing.

And they chose friends codes, a solution that is definitely less "simple" and less "comfortable"

The award list is completely laughable. In what universe is Pokemon SwSH goty? I have issues with almost every category of the awards.

I just got a fish wand from it. Pretty great prize, considering I don't have a regular star wand yet.

It's a good game I guess, but I did'nt love it. Shadows of Valentia on the other hand.. Definitely my favorite 3ds fire emblem game.

And we wonder why we are still playing the same pokemon game. Game Freak has no talent.

2. What would actually bother you? I am buying every pokemon game since blue-red. I am personally tired of playing the same game again and again. The fans deserve better.

So their reasoning for cutting pokemon is to provide high quality animations and graphics and they are actually using 3ds animations. And there are people who are still defending them!!!

I had so much fun with this. I hope we see a simlilar discount in the european store. I want to buy some more dlc.

Pokemon fans are the only reason we are playing the same game for years and Game Freak is putting in minimal effort. They are just buying/defending anything.

Persona Q2. It's an amazing game and the perfect send off for the 3ds.

This is why we can't have nice things. We are complaining all the time about the third party support of nintendo consoles and when they actually show some support, we just don't buy their games. Brilliant.

@carlos82 I don't disagree with you. I am just saying that you can't expect it to run better than it does, when they couldn't hit 60 fps on the ps4. I have the game and I think that it looks and more importantly runs great.

@Dang69 it's an hd remake. It runs 1080p at 30fps on ps4. A resolution drop is to be expected.

FF12 is now much better than it used to be when it originally released. Most FF fans hated it just because it was different. They expected a turn based battle system and FF12 was radically different. The game was brilliant, but it got so much hate just because it wasn't a traditional FF. For me it's a true jrpg gem and the inspiration for the mechanics we found years later in Xenoblade Chronicles.

I am actually playing Persona 5 on my PS3. After they announced Persona 5 Scramble, I pretty much lost all hope for a Switch port, so I decided to cave in and buy it for PS3.

This is actually great, considering the fact that the 3ds was a lot cheaper than the Switch.

A true jrpg gem.

@Patron most 3ds titles cost 40 euros. Even ancient 3ds titles.

The problem with the 3ds right now is that it's not cheap enough. Hardware and software is expensive.

It's a shame but nintendo isn't really trying. 3DS is still overpriced, there is no marketing or ads for 3ds titles and even the software is expensive. I play a lot of yokai watch 3 lately and it's my favorite game in the entire 3ds library. I coudn't find it anywhere, so I bought it digital. I feel bad that only a few gamers will play it.

This list is wrong on so many levels...

I think that the real problem is that pokemon fans defend the product so much, they actually affect the game negatively. Aren't you people tired of playing the same game over and over again? I have owned every game since the first generation. The formula has become stale. I hope "Let's go" flops. It's the only way to make the developer serious

Playing the dlc right now. Xenoblade 2 is such a great game

Pokemon Sun/Moon was the lowpoint of the series for me. The game was pretty bland and there was no sense of exploration. Pokemon Gold/Silver definitely are the best games in my opinion because they perfected the formula. The games that followed just built on that.

Nintendo fans have always whined about everything. The online service is definitely cheap. It gives you the ultra useful cloud saves and the NES games are a nice plus. I hope they give us nes and gba games at some point

Guys it's definitely not overblown. I had the same issue myself. A tiny crack near the power button and I actually noticed it because of the article. It's a real issue and nintendo must do something about it. Luckily nintendo of greece fixed my switch for free.

Mine has a tiny crack on the top left corner, next to the screw. Nintendo really dropped the ball designing the Switch. It's definintely a design flaw

Playing it safe is not a bad thing for me. It's picross for switch. It doesn't need to have gimmicks (see pokemon picross) to work
