@Goginho I think you underestimate the intelligence of the average E3 viewer. It won't be an audience of casual gamers and non-gamers, only the people who care about gaming will watch E3.

They aren't even pretending that they can still turn this around. They know MK and SB will not come close to saving the system.

I remember very similar optimistic talk last year, only for it all to fall flat. I'm not falling for it again. Every event they miss, you keep saying, no, no it's a good thing, cause that means they can do this instead. And then they never do "this". This was their one chance to turn the WiiU's fortunes around, and already they're limping out of the gate. At this point they'll be very lucky if they can catch up to the Dreamcast in sales.

Well, it looks like they won't be pulling off a miracle. The WiiU had one tiny chance to turn things around, and that started with the best ever showing at E3. It needed to blow Xbox and Playstation conferences out of the water to even have a hope of standing against them in the coming year. Without that, it is pretty much inevitable that the platform will crumble.

@Jmaster Yes, but nothing is officially on the calendar. They have one game coming in a month, and the rest is vague release windows, and "probably this year" games, that we still know next to nothing about.

@Knuckles They need this to happen. Without it, I can't see the WiiU surviving long enough to release Zelda. It is teetering on the brink of failure as it is.

One game cannot save this console, and right now, for the rest of the year, all they have is one game.

If they get it down to $20 I could see it working. Otherwise it'll flop at retail.

@azg When was the last time a Sonic game took 2 years from when it was officially announced to come out? I'm betting Holiday or sooner for that title. They've been working on it for a while already. Besides, the show is coming out this fall, why would they wait a whole year to release the game?

@Jaz007 What they'll have to do is make the WiiU version have much more content than the 3DS one, and make it incredibly clear that it is worth it to get the WiiU version, even if they already have it for the 3DS. Otherwise, it will indeed cause great harm to the WiiU sales.

Looking at the two side by side I was unable to notice any difference at all, until I scroled down and read the ponytail and midriff line.

I played this game for the first time last year, and it instantly became one of my favorite games of all time.

@element187 Okay, good. I didn't remember much about it before, and the article didn't mention anything, so I wasn't sure.

I really hope (for their sake) this isn't exclusive to WiiU. If it is multiplatform it has a good chance of selling enough to become profitable. If it is exclusive, there is practically no chance. Unfortunately Nintendo players will not be flocking to play this in droves, even if it scores above 9/10 from most reviewers.

Do people not understand what's with the artstyle? It's colored pencils instead of crayons. It's still supposed to be hand drawn, just with a more sophisticated medium.

This is by far the highest score I've seen for this game. Needless to say I'm skeptical.

@Azooooz That's his point! It's that no one is using the gamepad, not that he doesn't want to use it.

If I remember correctly, the last game was often knocked by reviewers for being too challenging. It sounds like they listened. Probably means there will be fewer cheap deaths with tricky platforming and enemies that knock you back.
