This week's Arcade Archives release on the Switch eShop is the 1983 Namco release, Phozon. It's described as an action game where the player controls a nucleus called 'chemic' and must merge with molecules to complete specified formations.
"Control a nucleus called CHEMIC and merge with MOLECULES to complete specified formations. The formations get increasingly complex, but that only makes completing them more satisfying."
Above is a look at the game in action, courtesy of the YouTube channel Old Classic Retro Gaming. Will you be adding this one to your collection for $7.99 or your regional equivalent? Comment down below.

An arcade for chem nerds?
I barely scraped by in chemistry class so this is probably not for me lol
I was really surprised this was a Namco game because I haven't seen it before. I love that.
Has anyone ever seen this arcade in the wild? I haven't lol. Always ace when Hamster releases a game I've never seen!
Edit @HIGHscores85 gets me!
I remember this game on Namco Museum Vol 3 in Playststion. I thought it was fun but i feel like after a while it got kinda boring.
Just some Namco trivia. Phozon was made by the game designer of Super Pac-Man and Pac & Pal.
My understanding is that Toru Iwatani assigned him to work on these games as a kind of training exercise.
Iwatani would later call those Pac-Man titles as being boring but he was happy to give the designer experience in game development.
How about Arcade Archives Tekken?
Japan-exclusive = Added to wishlist
@Clyde_Radcliffe They will give us every old arcade games we don't want but the ones we do want will fall on deaf ears. Guess you'll just had to keep reminding them, perhaps in the end you will win.
The first time I've played this game, I've played it in Namco Arcade for iOS. Now, to see it playable on more than just a PS1 might bring a tear to my eye. Maybe. Now, let's just see Motos & Starblade next.
Except for Qix, I think I am done with Arcade Archives. Most of these games are not worth premium prices. Capcom has a more reasonable pricing model for their titles. Rant over.
@Specter_of-the_OLED I want them all hahah. I could cry all day about Knuckle Joe or Ring King probably never coming, but I realised at the age of umm...about 12 that it's better to just appreciate what they do release and wait patiently lol.
I wish people wouldn't keep supporting this junk. There are thousands of incredible arcade titles they could be licensing, but I guess they'd cost money.
Would have rather had Grobda than this.
I've never seen nor heard of this and I was an arcade junkie!!
