Re: Nintendo Switch Picks Up Incredible Sales in Japan to Continue Its Strong Run

8Darky

nintendo couldve had these sales since launch if they could even remotely have kept up w demand in japan. its been in stock everywhere else in the world for the last few months, but japan is just now getting reasonable stock?

baffling, but i wonder if nintendo trusts their brand in japan so much that they felt they could afford to wait on the homeland while they kept the rest of the world stocked up, happy and having good pr and brand recognition

@thehoppypoppy yeah i have a nice lil backlog that will keep me happy for a few years yet. i agree the ds and 3ds has soo many awesome games, the dragonquest games alone will last me a year or 2 =D

the 3ds is the machine that got me back into gaming after a few year hiatus, i love my 3ds a lot and it will be hard to move on, but the switch will have a good size library by then and hopefully i can afford one.

Re: Nintendo Download: 30th November (North America)

i have a sad feeling the 3ds is pretty much done now that pokemon is out. atlus has a few games announced for next year and thats it on the horizon for 3ds. nintendo has basically only put out remakes and shovelware for it lately
had great run tho, 8 years almost with so many great rpgs to play on that machine

Re: ACORN Tactics Combines Turn-Based Strategy, Mechs and Alien Blobs

8Darky

it looks decent but, judging strictly from the trailer, the music and character variety needs some more work/polish

hope it does well tho, this is a genre that needs more games on nintendo platforms. FE is the only srpg franchise nintendo supports now, and very few other major studios they work with make these types of games, atlus had a few good ones but thats about it really.

Re: Nintendo NY Store Confirms SNES Classic Edition Midnight Launch Party

nintendo loves to have huge line ups for limited products, its a good photo op for marketing purposes. they treat fans like crap, and they have no honor for a japanese 'kid friendly' company
yet im hopeful this is changing and nintendo will have more confidence in the products they make and more respect for the fans that purchase them

Re: Nintendo Download: 14th September (North America)

will get 2 copies of minecraft only when it gets multiplayer and is on sale physically or under $20 on eshop. its way to expensive for essentially a dual screen pocket edition

got metroid on the way and played the EOV demo for a bit

Re: Review: Metroid: Samus Returns (3DS)

8Darky

good to see nintendo actually listening to its fans lately <3(and seeing all the money they are leaving on the table)

between this great metroid rebirth, the rerelease of the nes mini and statements about continuing snes production im really happy with nintendo for the first time in a long time, like 3 years. i was going to buy dragonquest11 and never touch or speak of nintendo again but with such a bright future now i may even get a switch at this point =D

Re: Nintendo Switch Still Leads in Japan as Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 Makes Debut

@SLIGEACH_EIRE , switches stay in stock on most major retail websites in north america for around 5 to 10 hours depending on various factors of course. id say demand is being met for the most part. there arent a lot of switches on store shelves, but nintendo wants it that way, just like all of their products, they want it sold out before they ship more. i get that business strategy but it isnt very customer friendly. i wish they could find the right balance, like directly taking pre/orders from its fans/customers. they could even charge a premium to have first shot at new products etc.. if they felt it added costs to the 'bottom line'

Re: Nintendo Download: 31st August (North America)

8Darky

@Captain_Toad mmmhm, we have a few big retail games coming over the next few months, basically all remakes, but im very disappointed with the n3ds snes vc support from nintendo. its been basically non existent since its launch of 5 games or whatever

Re: Guide: Where to Pre-Order Your Super NES Classic Edition

8Darky

@NandN3ds ive heard about some technical issues with the switch hardware that makes me think the build quality is cheap, not really the components, except the dock is obviously cheap.

im mainly talking about the 3ds/2ds/xl/ portable hardware of the past. it has always been cheap comparative to the industry, its the nintendo way and its not bad in theory. but when they have these opportunities to really cash in they always miss it seems. they go a step forward with the switch, but then they have this blunder and take a step back.

Re: Guide: Where to Pre-Order Your Super NES Classic Edition

8Darky

BB canada sold out in about 4 mins. why do we even bother with nintendo. i just want to play a few games from my childhood.

they make cheap hardware to maximise profits, but when they have a cheap product that people want, they fail to produce enough to maximise profits on it. its like they only care about making money on their terms, not the fans who keep them going. its baffling to me

Re: Nintendo Switch and Splatoon 2 Led US Retail Sales in July

8Darky

@Anti-Matter just because you dont like something doesnt mean its 'stupid'. its just different, and we need diversity in this world or everything would be the same thing. nintendo is great because they are different from other consoles and we as fans enjoy it. sony fans enjoy what they enjoy also, doesnt mean its stupid

Re: Nintendo Infographic Outlines Switch and 3DS Games for 2017

8Darky

for 3ds, rpg maker fes looks really promising, and could be great with good community support. im already planning quests of differing length and genre

EOV and those other atlus rpgs too, along with culdcept hevolt, which looks really interesting also. im a big fan of tabletop rpg games

im loving miitopia demo and am certainly hyped for MHStories

Re: Talking Point: The Nintendo 3DS, A System That Still Has a Role to Play

8Darky

3ds' and even the 2ds has been sold out for months at almost all my local retailers even amazon prices have ballooned. at local gamestores the games are even becoming rare and im in a decent NA city. nintendo doesnt seem to be in a hurry to restock either. makes me think they want the consumer to be buying switch hardware and software. 3ds will get a few new games but come e3 it will be all about the switch. it really could be a good budget option, but im just not seeing nintendo support lasting beyond a few months, although 3rd parties will continue on for a few years id hope as im a huge 3ds fan =D

Re: My Nintendo Now Offers Platinum Points if You Sign Up for Promotional Emails

8Darky

@BornInNorway81 i check the site daily and the missions i mentioned are no longer there, hopefully they will be added back on later but i doubt it. this is typical nintendo, like when they ended club nintendo just before the n3ds/majoras mask na launch, those potential points wouldve been nice but for whatever reason they ended the program early

Re: Review: Moco Moco Friends (3DS)

8Darky

great review morgan, had me smiling the whole time =D. have had my eye on this one since launch, but was waiting for a sale. maybe have to just bite the bullet and grab the one copy i saw in my city D=

Re: 3DS System Version 10.4.0-29 is Now Available for Download

8Darky

the game icons in my activity log on my n3ds are still disappearing and i have also experienced more frequent system crashes as well, particularly pokemon smd, that doesnt appear very stable to me.
its been happening since its launch... will nintendo ever address these real issues or are they too busy chasing ghosts instead of actual bugs?
