Re: USA VC Update: Phantasy Star IV

7th_lutz

Phantasy Star 4 is a great game if your a rpg fan. I own Phantasy Star 4 and it one the greatest rpgs during the 16 bit era.

The problem is it's already on the ps 2 and the psp on the Sega Genesis Collection. To make it worse, it will be on the 360 and the ps3 next year.

It is a rip off as a result.

Re: USA VC Update: Enduro Racer

7th_lutz

Vc owners finally get another racing game release on the vc. I have to say there are better racing games out there that haven't be released yet on the vc.

I own Enduro Racer for the sms. It is not one of the better games for the system.

Re: Life Force

7th_lutz

I've played Nes shooters before. Life Force is one the best on the system and is a great game.

I've played a lot of shooters in mylife time including ones on the Atari 2600.

Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - December 2008

7th_lutz

Life Force is very good Nes Shooter. I hope Life Force get release in North America soon. I know it is one the best Nes games not on the vc in North America.

I wouldn't get Life Force if it gets a North American release on the vc though.

Re: USA VC Update: Boogerman

7th_lutz

Boogerman shouldn't be the only game all complainers are whining about.

The Sega Genesis version of Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers got esrb rated for the Wii last Friday. That means we could be getting the Genesis or the Megadrive version of Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers soon on the vc.

Re: USA VC Update: Forgotten Worlds and Space Invaders

7th_lutz

I am own both cartridges and they are good games. This week is not for people that dislike shooters.

I love the 1978 arcade game and I own the Snes cartridge, but I can why someone wouldn't download the game for 800 Wii points.

Forgotton worlds on the sega genesis has a well known glitch. Your game ends if you plug in a 6 button controller and you press the start button.

Re: EU VC Releases: Phantasy Star IV and Mega Man 3

7th_lutz

Great week for Europe.

Phantasy Star 4 is one of the greatest rpgs during the 16 bit era imo. I first played it back in 1995. I managed to get the game as Christmas gift in 1996.

Phantasy Star 4 is the best rpg on the Sega Genesis/Megadriver imo.

Re: USA VC Update: Mega Man 3

7th_lutz

I think Megaman 3 will not be the last Megaman game to be release on the vc this year.

Megaman 3 is one of the top 2 Megaman games on the Nes imo. I will not be downloading this game since I all ready own it.

One game vc release weeks aren't bad as long as the game is decent.

Re: Review: Space Invaders Get Even (WiiWare)

7th_lutz

I am not downloading the game despite its review. I love shoot'em Ups, but the amount of memory it takes up is one the reasons why, I wouldn't download this game. I also have a problem with a game being demo with a 500 Wii point price tag.

I played demos before and they never cost a thing. I remembered playing playstation one demos for free at home.

Since Nintendo allowed Space Invaders get even a Wiiware release, they better allow Neo Geo games over 500 Meg on the vc.

I didn't expect Nintendo to allow a game to take up 700 blocks. I know it includes all the extra missions, but that is not the point.

This why people complain about Nintendo not having a hard disk drive.

Re: USA VC Update: Space Harrier

7th_lutz

I can't recommand people people that like shooters to download the Sms version of Space Harrier.

I have to agree with the 32x version of Space Harrier is the best version of the game. I don't own Sega Ages for the Sega Saturn yet, so I can't comment on it.

There are at least 4 shooters on the Sms that are better than Space Harrier.

Re: Corbie's Top 20 Virtual Console Releases - Part 2

7th_lutz

I think people need to respect Corbie's top 20 vc game list. Everyone has different tastes in games and Corbie is not being biased due to the nature of the list.

His top 20 is his opinion and it is not a regular top 20 list like he said.

All those type in Caps over his list need to realize everyone has different tastes in games.

I like Corbie's List because he put some obsecure games on it. It shows he is not narrow minded gamer and is pointing out great games that some people would consider to download now.

Re: USA VC Releases: Secret of Mana and Street Fighter II Genesis

7th_lutz

@Clayfrd
I already know that posting orginally. Next week has a better chance of tg-16 games being release then the week after that.

Both of know us it is not very likely that tg-16 games will be release Oct. 27th.

October 27th should have Holloween themed game releases like Castlevania 3.

Re: Treasure: Buy Dynamite Headdy, You Fools

7th_lutz

I bought Sin & Punishment, not Dynamite Headdy. I have no regret on buying Sin & Punishment.

Dynamite Headdy is a great game, but I didn't download it for a reason. I already own the genesis cartridge and my sega genesis still hooked up.

I like to see Treasure release Mischief Makers on the vc.

Re: USA VC Release: Mega Man 2

7th_lutz

Megaman 2 is a classic.

I figure it will be at least a couple months before Megaman 3 gets released on the vc.

I'll be skipping this vc release since I own the Nes cartridge and Mega Man Anniversary Collection.

.

Re: OFLC Update: Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse (NES)

7th_lutz

Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse curse is a great game. This game is must for those that haven't played it.

I guess things have changed in used game prices since the time I bought Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse used back in mid 1990's.

Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse is one of the best nes games not on the vc.

I expect Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse to be release next month since Holloween is celebrated on the final weekt of October.

Re: USA VC Releases: Cho Aniki and Final Soldier

7th_lutz

I think North America should be getting good games in the next 3 Mondays,

If we have 6 games in the next 3weeks, we should be getting the following games:

Nes- Megaman 2

Snes- Space Invaders, and Secret of Mana are the top possibilities for the next snes game being release on the vc. Both are supposed to be release in Japan this month.

Sega genesis- Phantasy Star 4, Shining Force 2. and Earthworm Jim are the top possibilities for the next Sega Genesis for being release on the vc. Phantasy Star 4 and Shining Force 2 were released this summer is Japan. They have to be considered as possibilities as a result.

Sms- Wonder Boy in Monsterland is the only game I can think of as a sms release this month. If there is a sms release this month.

Neo Geo- World heroes 2 should be the top game if there is a Neo Geo game release this Month.

N64- Mario Golf

Re: USA VC Releases: Cho Aniki and Final Soldier

7th_lutz

@Alpo,

Since May, North American is getting more than Platform and space shooter games on the vc. There hasn’t been a lot of Platform games coming out on the vc lately.

North America got the following Fighting games on the vc since May:
Renegade
Art of Fighting 2
Burning Fight
Fatal Fury 2
King of Monsters
Ninja Combat
Samurai Shodown
Samurai Shodown 2

I doubt all them are crap. All games I mention expect for Renegade are on the Snk games and are on the Neo Geo. The only excuse you could make is you own or planning to different collection Snk has including Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 1, and Snk Collection.

You are looking at the wrong place for first person shooters and third person shooters. The N64 is the only system on the vc that had the type of shooters you want for the most part. Game console before 1993 weren’t designed with first person shooters in mind. The catch is the N64 will not have those games on the vc.

Rare has the rights to first person shooters like Perfect Dark, Golden Eye 007, and Conker’s Fur day. Nintendo isn’t releasing any n64 games with expansion Paks on the vc either and that affects games like Resident Evil 2 and Duke Nukem: Zero Hour for the N64.

I don’t where you got crappy Space shooters or Platforms idea from? All Space Shooters Since July got at least 4 stars by vc-reviews. All of them got good rating by vc-reviews including Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa.

Re: EU VC Releases: Super Mario RPG and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels

7th_lutz

I hope North America will be getting this game very soon. I am happy for them. They never had a chance to play Super Mario RPG.

I expect North American gamers to whine even more now since Europe has Super Mario RPG.before they do.

I hope the 3rd Hanabi Festival continues because I want to see if their are any import tg-16 games being releases during the festival. It would give me an idea on what future tg-16 games that North America might be getting.

Re: USA VC Releases: Star Parodier and Break In

7th_lutz

@Bendover83-Comment 176

Battletoads doesn't have a chance to come out. Rare has the rights to the game.

Karnov has a chance to be released. 3 Data East games are on the vc in North America. They are Bloody Wolf, Drop off and Silent Debuggers. G-Mode has the rights to those Data East games. They may have more rights to Data East games.

Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II

7th_lutz

@Virus,

It is unlikely that Samurai Shodown II will be released this monday. North American gamers are 2 Neo Geo games behind Europe now.

North American gamers are more likely to get Neo Turf Masters on Monday than Samurai Shodown II.

Samurai Shodown II should be released by the end of the month in North America.

Re: USA VC Update: Sonic (Master System) and Splatterhouse 2

7th_lutz

I wasn't sure about the games confirmed by SNK Playmore, Hudson and Capcom a first place. The first thing that got me was Hudson confirmed games last month and we didn't 2 of the games.

It didn't sound right with 3 vc games being release in 1 week in North America either.

All of us need to ingore 3rd party publishers "confirming vc games" before Monday.

Re: Ys Book I & II Released in US Next Week

7th_lutz

@Mr. Chez-Comment 49,

There is a reason for Paper Mario: TTYD getting a 6.75 from Game Informer.

Game Informer admitted on their message board that they rated Paper Mario: The thousand-year Door based on what they think the gamers wanted for a score.

@SlapStic.com- comment 19

You never heard the game before for a reason. It was a turbo cd game.

Turbo CD was an add on for the tg-16. Both were not well known systems back in the late 80's and early 90's.
