They say game for babies but if you’re going for 100% no way you can just no miss every level..
@NinChocolate almost 100% of people are not interested in 100%ing the game.
Kirby defenders don't need to defend it's game from it being about very little children. Anyone can tell it was designed as a platformer for little kids who were too young for Mario. That's okay.
@MostHandsieBoy no need to bury the fact that there’s real challenge just because it’s aimed at children. I’ve played Kirby with young children and it’s a different experience not playing with them, and that’s by dev design
@NinChocolate No doubt. I'm getting the game because I have little kids and I greatly enjoyed the demo as well. It's one of the rare games that is for everyone. But it is very easy compared to most of my library.
For me, that is a huge selling point. Sometimes I don't want to stress over Cuphead. I want something my old hands, face and bones can easily do.
@MostHandsieBoy each stage has a laundry list. Briefer than the moons in odyssey, but ticking everything in timely fashion requires more keenness than a lot of the moons did in odyssey. One should feel like one put in good effort for the time compared to ticking off odyssey’s goals, I’d wager. I think it’s a favourable comparison for Kirby that some might like to know.
Is this game too easy? I played the demo and really enjoyed it, I liked the unique mechanics and how you could swap between modes easily. However, there wasn't much push back. I really wanna pick up the full game, I'm just concerned that a lack of challenge will grow tiring. Thoughts?
@Reyren I wish the game had one more super-hard mode or whatever.
@Reyren The platforming is certainly simplified compared to Mario but the variety and creativity compare well. I don’t see why fans of 3D World couldn’t appreciate this game, is what I can say.
@NinChocolate Thanks for the input! I really think I am gonna pick it up. I don’t think it being easy is a bad thing. I just finished Forbidden West and am playing through triangle strategy, both of which can be challenging at times. I think a light, fun platformer like this could really be a nice change. I was just concerned with it feeling effortless.
@MostHandsieBoy Shrimp..
@WolfyTn White wine...
Too easy for me. No way i´ll buy this one.
It's all cute, creative in the look, but when you play it, it looks like an "on rail" game. You have to do the exact same things, in the same order, with no room for creativity on the player's part. It´s not a problem if the game is difficult....but here....This is because the game is so easy, it doesn't require the player to do anything different. It's all very gimmick. You walk away, follow the flow and end the game. I don't like the postgame (or 100% boring thing)...I like the main game mode. And the main mode of this game is unplayable for me. makes me sleepy. It's too boring for me.
I don't play games to get rid of stress. I have no stress in life. My life is pretty easy, so I need more challenge!
Thanks to my neighbor for lending me. He himself didn't like it.
My wife didn't like the game either.
So I pass!
Beaultiful game, but empty.
@MostHandsieBoy lmao tim and Eric are comedic gods.. love the name and pic.. ur an Awesome Show! Brother 🤘🏻
This game is extremely easy, even on the harder difficulty. It's also incredibly charming and a great deal of fun.
thanks this walktrough/guide will be useful for me, ounce i have the game in my birthday in april.
Thanks for this but the no damage missions for rescuing certain Waddle Dees is just absolutely ruining my enjoyment of this otherwise charming 3D Platformer. I think I'll play Ratchet and Clank on PS5 instead.
I will go back to Kirby but atm I'm just too frustrated and I don't like to play a game when I'm in this state of mind. In fact I don't think going for 100% is even worth it tbh as you don't even get anything at all except a lame picture saying thanks for playing and statues in Waddle Dee Town that do nothing, like really?
Edit: nvm I managed to do it but I still hate the no damage missions though.
@NinChocolate Going for 100% is actually the hardest part of this game. I find the no damage missions needlessly annoying to say the least and don't get me started on the tilt and tumble mini games where you have to guide ball Kirby through a maze. I remember playing the original tilt n tumble and they weren't as awkward as this.
@Rykdrew Empty? Banjo Kazooie was extremely easy too, boring and basically featured doing the same thing in an empty world that didn't really have many features that made it stand out yet it was still very popular, just like Kirby. You don't play Kirby for the difficulty it's the sort of game you play to relax.
This is just my opinion though so don't look too much into it, I didn't like Banjo Kazooie just like the way you don't like Kirby. We all have different tastes after all.
