Update: Nintendo has now set the Kerbal Space Program trailer to private.
Original: Out of the blue, the popular computer game, Kerbal Space Program, has been confirmed for the Wii U. The news comes via what appears to be an early leak on Nintendo's YouTube Channel, with the game expected to be officially revealed at the Nindies@Night PAX Prime event.
Kerbal Space Program has received a positive reception on Steam and is ranked highly in the user reviews category – by no means an easy feat. With developer Squad recently announcing the title for more platforms, it appears the Wii U is now one of them.
Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know in the comments if you're excited for the launch of Kerbal Space Program on the Wii U eShop.

Great! I am keen to play this. On the gamepad even better
Doesn't seem very appealing over the PC version without the ability to mod. I'm going to get it from GOG soon.
I'm pretty excited! I saw Markiplier play this and it looks like something I'd enjoy.
Another excellent indie game. Everyone should try this on Wii U if they don't have another way to play it. It's worth the price of a full retail game.
This is a truly innovative game, the type that come along not near enough. A game that truly fun and educational. I have more hours in this game than I can possibly imagine, (more all Zelda games, which is almost unthinkable for me)
Whether you buy it on Nintendo, or PC, XBox One, or PS4. Just buy it, learn to play it, and you will be more intelligent for it.
This is FANTASTIC NEWS!
Don't start to play this game people. A friend of mine has played this game for 730 hours with no ending in sight.
Oh wow, this is the type of news that swings by unexpectedly one day. Never thought this game would come to the Wii U.
Wow, both Minecraft and Kerbal coming to Wii U! Did not see this coming and I am really happy for it, "Kerbal Space Porgram" is such a unique gem!
Video is private...
Nice
Lately, it's very common for Nlife to put a video in an article and then it becomes private!
I was thinking about getting this on xbox one, but with gamepad use, I'll likely get it on Wii U.
My 12 year son loves the PC version, he was excited about it coming to Xbox One, I think he will more excited it is coming to the Wii U.
Cool a private trailer that I can't watch.
@Swiket liking your profile pic. I heard a new album is coming soon and tour with atlas sound sound opening. Bradford Cox opening for himself.
YES! I Love this game I bought it in beta stage when it was nothing but a bug fest, now its fantastic, must buy.
First day buy for me awesome!!!
Never heard of it but liking all the positive comments about it. Of course I still don't know anything b/c the video is private and all the article says is - "watch this video to learn all about the game." Nintendo has had a pretty good week of news starting with all that info Monday, guess they had to revert to form at some point. Google here I come.
Haven't I heard about this game having a high difficulty curve?
What are u doing nintendo?
Why all these great games coming to Wii U?
@rjejr its basically awesome game. (Thats all you need to know)
Fantastic, heard great things about it, will get it for sure.
This might be my ticket to get into this. I didn't much care to mess around with the in-progress game on my PC, but the concept certainly captures me.
Back from Google. This has been around since 2011 but only recently reached the 1.0 milestone. Still not sure what it's about exactly, but ship creation, physics and things that blow up probably make it day 1 for my 10 year old.
Looks like fun.

@Swiket Heh, judging from the comments this doesn't seems like too much of a problem.
Okay...guess I'm getting this. Judging by the comments, people seem to like it.
Aaaaannd I guess I'm getting it for Wii U. I was waiting for when the PC version got a little cheaper but now I'll just wait for this!
@Shiryu no thats just story mode...
@Uberchu I know, still happy about it.
More third-party support!
@rjejr It's a physics based space-ship, space exploration sandbox. They basically modeled the solar system and you build ships to explore it. They recently added in missions and goals that you can use, but I think the sandbox stuff is the primary joy of it.
Private video...
Awesome. I've had it for ages on PC but I'll get it again on WiiU just to have more of it.
A frined of mine played it on Steam and I always thought about buying it. Maybe I'll just buy the Wii U version then. That is, if they use the Gamepad/Touchscreen properly. Otherwise I probably would prefer the mouse.
@Darknyht - "but I think the sandbox stuff is the primary joy of it."
Judging from the last hour my son just spent playing the demo - on PC - the main joy of it is killing Kerbals. He was very excited when he got 28.
