I like this and I think what grabbed my attention was the similarity of the case to the old Compaq Pocket PC's. If this was a reasonable price I would get it.
@AndyC_MK I happen to like repetitive game play if it falls within the intended overall design of the game. BOTW is a great game but there times I want to just fight.
I disagree with the review as I find the demo, so far, very enjoyable and good balance between BOW elements and the fighting sequences. I would give it a 9 and I imagine they will fix the frame rate although I never experienced it myself.
Now that I found a trailer it looks like a decent game but the XRAY gimmick would wear quickly. If this is self contained and not a loot box/DLC ridden game thne I will get this. Otherwise no thanks.
For me there is a bit of nostalgia but not for Game & Watch. I have several games of this style by other manufactures such as Mattel, Coleco, Tandy and others. This format was the closest thing we had to a Gameboy. I have a wide variety but I never ran across the Nintendo's in the day. I have some electro-mechanical games that use an lcd and a wind up timer, football, hockey and baseball and a King Kong game among others. I am getting one because it will add to my collection and it is a continuation of my collection that experienced a small multi year break.
@KITG_GROUP Fair enough. I agree that that headline would work also. Perhaps he is just so busy he does not see the details on these things. I do like like him so this is no disparagement on his part.
i love re-purposing older tech. I just purchased an adapter for my Quickshot Joystick that uses the game port pin out to USB to play Wing Commander on Win 10. It is still a solid series of games.
@ok1 It is a fighting game form Rare which is now owned by Microsoft. A really fun game that makes you laugh and can be brutal at times. It is best as a two player game.
@thiswaynow I also disagree with the characterizations of the keyboard as a tool that is non productive. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of programmers who started with these systems.
@KITG_GROUP The headline seems correct. He acted in commercials, was paid and his celebrity was used to promote a pirated design. He had to be aware of ramifications and while I love Jackie Chan movies this is not the only shaky business dealings he had. He was involved in a real estate deal that went belly up and people lost big money including Jackie. Maybe he just has poor judgement.
@roboshort I thought it was just me. So many of these games just do not interest me. I am not really into the Manga type of animation and some of the RPG's are too cumbersome to be enjoyable as I prefer more real time action. I do have more games for this console than most but percentage wise versus releases it is much less.
If I remember correctly there was talk in the Sega magazines during the heyday about Sega bringing some Japanese arcade titles to the west and these were rumored to be the market popular lifestyle games that Japan likes. This could have been a planned accessory controller to use these.
As an aside I purchased a Japanese casino style game many years ago from a retailer who had a skid of these. These used tokens as payment/payout and what is what I liked about it is the Ninja warlord details it has. Based on how long you play, how much you win and the frequency it plays a storyline on the screen.
@koffing I have most of the consoles Nintendo made, portable and not, and this is the first issue I have had. I did give them some leeway initially but now it is a true problem because they have no fix unlike the Wii controller problem. They have acknowledged it but that helps little in this situation. I waited until I could not stand it and requested repair on the left Joycon six months ago and still no word. Certainly the Pandemic has impacted them I will grant you that but there needs to be a permanent solution.
I think we are seeing the real consequences of the "digital divide". I would surmise many who feel indifferent or view those that do care as complaining grew up without the vinyl record, the vinyl collection or the early video game carts with illustrated manuals first in color and later black & white. There is a tactile connection to the imagery, feel of the paper and the smell of freshly printed artwork. It really cements the impression of a new product.
@GamePerson19 I would be great with that especially if it fixes the problem. I have been waiting over six months on a fix for my Joycon and I may just but one but not until they fix the issue.
What everyone has to take into consideration is his motivation , as a "analyst", is to move the stock so he makes more money for his clients. He claims his expertise so that he attracts more clients.

@nessisonett I have to disagree with you as well. The Internet has changed dramatically and the biggest change is the evolution of social media into a form of content that is believed and followed by even somewhat rational people. This was precipitated by the slow adoption of online usage by the non digital/computer savvy generations who now feel empowered to use this is a podium for any thoughts that come through their head much like not fully formed adults.
The Internet is worse now because it has expanded and the self policing movement that existed for years was given up by the early adopters as they scurried to safer corners of the web or reconstituted BBS sites.

@jump I agree with your disagreement.
Re: Random: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Might Include A Popular Zelda CD-i Reference
CD-i is a collection that needs to return just for the artwork.
Re: Poll: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Is Out Today, Are You Getting It?
I pre-ordered it and it will be a Christmas present.

Re: Nintendo Calls Switch Piracy "A Worsening International Problem" As It Sues Another Hack Seller
I wonder what would happen if I offered a software mod that would detect modded Switch's and report them to Nintendo. Would pirates sue me? Hmmmm

EA, when suits run a gaming company. A mere facsimile of their former self.

Re: Nintendo Enlists Brie Larson And Awkwafina To Expand Switch's Reach This Christmas
Honestly I am astonished people consider Brie a talented and widely known cheese. I find it lacks merit and not appealing at all.

That is what caught my attention as well. I like the shoe but the plastic parts look tacky and prone to damage.

Re: The GodView V5 Headset Delivers Pin-Sharp Visuals And Weighs Just 55 Grams, And It Works With Your Switch
The price? Not for me as it appears to be unsorted still.
The sound issue is a problem as well. It would not sync well with the video which would cause all types of aggravation.

the drifting is definitely an issue. The Pro controller is not immune either as many people are coming forward.
