Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Reportedly Leaked Just Days Out From Its Release

The game hasn't leaked, it's likely someone just dumped the pre-download using homebrew tools, and this will happen with every game that has a pre-download. Not that I condone piracy, I'm just pointing out that dump the image of a pre-download is something anyone can do. I can't seem to verify on twitter if this version has already a day1 patch or not thou, which would be a welcome relief. But I guess day 1 is in two days anyway so we'll see if they solved the frames issue.

Re: Eighting Helped Nintendo Bring Pikmin 3 To The Switch

@nessisonett at this point my guess is that they are internally all working on an original lineup for the launch of a slighlty more powerful switch pro.
I'm not keeping track of all the dev studios but my understanding was that having only the switch to develop for, Nintendo had aaaaaaall the teams from 3ds and wiiu on one platform, and if that's the case, something seems off to me.
I'm betting on a reveal on january and a launch on march.
It would also explain the TBD delays of 3rd party titles such as Doom eternal and others

@YANDMAN we had different expectation. maybe it's the leaks fault but i expected something like Wind Waker and Twilight princess on WiiU. i would replay from start to finish a 60 bucks mario 64 game in a new engine. 10 minutes on a 4:3 port it's not worth 20 bucks. In my opnion. ocerina on 3ds? bought it, i saw value there. Majora's? same. Link's Awakening? same if not better.

@Chlocean @TedThread i just realised writing the response that zelda has now more actual well made full fldged 3D remasters than Mario does.
Excuse me? when did that happen? a franchise that has historically sold less than mario receiving more dev care?

@Chlocean @TedThread i'm sorry for being an *****, but man i literally grew up with the 3Ds, and i was waiting this with anticipation. maybe i have to blame the leaks for the hype, but leaks or not i simply don't see enough value to spend 60 bucks. like i haven't supported nintendo and their never discounted first party IPs enough in 30 years. and i also understand that the 35th is not as strong as the 25th, but man this package just gives me the impression "Oh, right, this year there's an anniversary...right. well, here, take this 3D games! happy?". i mean was i completely out of proportion to expect something along the lines of Wind waker remaster, Twilight Princess remaster and link's awakening but applied to mario? "but it would've cost way more!" yeah that's my point! like nintendo wouldn't made a profit on a package like that...i'm sorry for being annoying but this package to me sounds very much like they're deciding what to do with the rest of their retro library based on how well this will sell.

@YANDMAN the only things nintendo actually prepared for the 35th are the Tetris 99 mod and the 3D ports, which apparently don't include Galaxy 2 (which would've meant you had 4 games in a bundle of 60 bucks and not three). Honestly I expected mario 64 to be redone with odissey's engine, but I understand that was just my fantasy after seeing the good job they did on link's awakening. Than apparently a random guy on the planet found a way to implement 16:9 in the PC port of mario 64 and nintendo couldn't (or they could, but it would've taken more time and money, and that's my problem with their attitude). Then sunshine and galaxy apparently are both wide-screen and run at full resolution, and that's actually fine, but you would agree it's the bare minimum. Dunno I at least expected a limited edition version with a CD audio, but I guess it costs less to implement they player inside the game for everyone. From what I can tell the rest of the announcements would've come out anyway, 35th or not. A bit lacking from what I was expecting. No further imbellishments, no phisycal goodies in the boxed version, at least that I know of.

If this doesn't have a "35TH" on it, you all know what this means right? it means the only things nintendo prepared for the actual anniversary are the 3d portings and the modded tetris 99.
Th game & watch was likely to come out anyway as the next "classic mini".
Very pissed right now.

Re: Leaked Famitsu Column Suggests Sakurai Considered Rollback Netcode For Smash Bros. Ultimate

The thing about smash is that the competitive community only plays 1v1 or 2v2 with one stage layout and items turned off, and to this rollback could apply nicely, but smash is conceived to be for everyone, with items and stages that level the playing field. I can't see rollback functioning in a massive animated stage with two assistant trophies, swords, guns, a 4 players.
It's sad, but we have to come to terms with the fact that smash is less like street fighter and more like mario kart (despite it still having a better online, but it serves to make a point).
