would anyone else sell they're Sega Saturn and Dreamcast copies of those capcom fighters in order to consolidate and fund the purchase of that MvC 2 cabinet? because I'm considering it.....
My switch with tons of digital games. my modded wii with tons of digital games. And, anything else that reduces physical clutter in my home but lets me enjoy my hobby.
@ChromaticDracula Don't buy it for the sake of buying it. I looked at it too, but then I remembered I cannot play these games very well at all. I just picked up Castlevania and have no fear of missing out on contra.
regular people are not buying this stuff. It is people who are trying to artificially create an after market for all this clutter. They're playing a psychological game with other people that have money -it's called Speculative Collecting. They try to call it "investing", but collectibles are not an investment. It's speculative, at best.
the nintendo e-shop with sales on Indie titles is where the REAL DEALS are! Panzer Paladin for $15.99? Hades for $19.99"? Katana zero for $8.99? yes, yes and YES!
@graysoncharles I think physical collecting will see a significant decline as we less of people who: 1. are afraid games will disappear. these games aren't going anywhere 2. collect for speculative value. values are only driven by people who have interests in monetizing the hobby (i.e. stores or youtube channels).
The next generations is not going to want, nor pay for, these physical collections.
I'm not getting this. I have these Games. I love these games. I played them 100% through. pressuring me to buy them during a "limited time" is Off Putting. I don't support that behavior.
I seem to have a Knack for replaying the original versions of these games entirely, Only for a Remaster to be announced or released RIGHT AFTER. The lesson I'm learning is: These Games will not go anywhere. They will always be remade and re-released.
Blazing Chrome was very sweet. Put it on your watch list at least. I got it for very cheap, under $5. Bro Force looks to be $3.74 USD on the eshop right now.
I would love to play some "NINTENDO" games on switch, but I am not their market for $60 games. Nor $50 games. Digital Indies for $20 or less are where I have been hanging out around lately.
Every time I turned this game on, I'd sit through the theme song in it's entirety. Every time. My son would say "Dad just press start already!". Nope. That Lo Fi hiss with distortion, piano and barber shop quartet..................
I don't know about all of you, but we really enjoyed those Mega Construx. So much variety and they looked good. Wario and Waluigi. Daisy and Bowser Jr. Plus the Mario Kart cars and tracks. Those were terrific.
@NintendoByNature I commend you for trying to finish Owlboy. I really wish I could get it done. It's good, but something about the controls deters me.........
the kids are playing a TON of Pikuniku which was on sale for 92 cents U.S. I am playing some Cursed Castilla on sale for 50%off. In between those two games, am taking my time with Monster Boy.
I saw a very good video from a comic book collector. He said 2 things. 1) learn to let go, these things are not going to disappear. and 2) when you get so deep into a hobby, it is best for you if the hobby FUNDS ITSELF(i.e sales and trades).
This is a great hobby, but don't let fear and speculation drive our behavior more than fun and enjoyment. We will all be gone before these games are.
@dougphisig I do agree that I have sought what would be a "definitive version", in my opinion, of various games. However, I will not double dip for anything. Either 1 copy physical or 1 copy digital. I'd love to have Shovel Knight on my switch......but alas it is on my Wii U {Digital} and I do not need to buy it again. I just do not feel these games are going anywhere as evident by a robust market of options.
The younger generations will not want physical media. That is my speculation. The "return of vinyl" was fueled by fans of hi-fi, analog and other sound qualities they felt they were not getting with digital formats. What am I getting with physical games other than an attachment to an object or easing my fear of the game disappearing for ever?
you may find you won't regret cashing out as much as you think you do. these games are not going anywhere and there will ALWAYS be a way to play them. Physical or not. I'm willing to bet............
i am but a humble reader and game enthusiast, but really, Every Company needs to put Every Game they possibly can onto the Switch. The Switch market for their games is incredibly strong and the sales potential is very good. I, personally, no longer buy a game on anything else anymore becase i feel it will be on switch soon enough. that is called a Market right there......
