Re: UK Sales Data Shows A Strong Start For Switch OLED

I bought one and got the OG switch on day one. Absolutely love it, the white version is so cool, not only is the screen much better, it's also bigger as well - I'll be playing more handheld than before as its so good. You can also sell your old one privately for a decent price so the trade up isn't such a hit. Delighted with it x

Re: UK Retailer Currys Had A Metroid Dread Deal That Was Too Good To Be True

@Duncanballs I couldn't agree more, their (GAME) prices are so expensive, I popped my head in there the other day and just couldn't believe what they were charging for certain games, I mean at least £10 more than any other store. I asked them if they were willing to price match (to a shop literally next store) they said no way, so I popped next door and saved myself £10! Just don't get it. And like you I don't know how they are still in business. It's a shame as I want to support video games stores. I have always enjoyed browsing through them over the years, but they need to be competitive and offer a service.

update - just played another hour on this game, and it's got even better. The graphics are just gorgeous. The details in the room are incredible. And the music is so catchy. Just been to the town library when you can buy tips on things if you really get stuck. Give it a go, one of the nicest looking games on the system.

Hi there, i jumped in and bought this game on day one after watching it being played on SwitchUp. I had the most frustrating start, and nearly gave up - many times - but watched a walked through on the fist dungeon, the ship, and since I got through it, I am having the best time with it. Great music and graphics, and just fun running about. You get to know what type of puzzles they are throwing at you as well so it gets easier. So please, give it a chance, it's just amazing when you consider two guys made it, so talented. If you are vaguely interested, go for it. The map is huge as well, so there will be lots of explore and see. Some things are just worth sticking with for a while and this is one of them. Sparky

This is an awesome game. really really fun to play. Reminds me of Dropzone, Choplifter and Defender all mixed up, checking the map, zooming around to save people etc, one of my favourite titles. I project my switch onto a wall these days and this games is so much fun to play on it! only thing I would change, is you = depress the left control stick to bring up the options page, and this can be a little annoying as you steer with it and I often depress it by accident. Love to be able to change this setting. A must buy for me.

This is a great game, having so much fun playing it. The music is fantastic and a real throw back, the sound effects play a great role too. Visually I am just loving the look and feel of this game and it really is an old school shooter with some cool platforming sections included too. A must I'd say to have in your collection.

Re: Review: LEGO Worlds (Switch)

With the game having been out on other hardware for a while now is it likely that they will bring out an update patch to help improve performance? It is basically like the Disney Infinity game which I hand on the Wii U, but with more opportunity to build more detailed and complex structures. A lot of potential here and would be great to see if supported further by the developer.

I have to say that I have so much fun with this game playing multiplayer at home. Some of the music is amazing and I turn it up fully. Its an awesome game and one that I'll keep on coming back to for a quick hit of pure enjoyment. Buy it!

I have been playing video games since 1982 (on my good old C=64) and I have to say that this is the most stunning title I have ever experienced in a video game. I spend most of the time just staring open eyed at the sunsets, the weather elements, the time and attention taken to this simply MASSIVE open world is mind boggling. I am having the best time ever just pottering around and exploring this world at my own pace. It is just so vast. And it's am experience I don't want to end. Incredible efforts to all involved.

Re: Review: Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap (Switch eShop)

Purchased this game last night, and wow I was surprised how great it looked and sounded on the Switch. Really sharp colourful visuals that really shine on the Switch's screen. Graphics look awesome too with three or four layers of parallax scrolling going on, with lovely shadow and particle details present. The music is a joy to play along too and the game has bags of personality. A really fun and enjoyable title to have on the system. A must buy for the system at this stage - well yes. x

Re: Review: Fast RMX (Switch eShop)

I think it looks great but hard to control on the joy con's small buttons, they are quite fiddley- the shoulder buttons are so close together too. I think you have to remap the control to suit you. The WII U version was so much easier to control.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X

I've noticed that when playing the game you have to DOUBLE click the L and R shoulder buttons to lock onto target and reset the camera view - single press doesn't work as outlined in digital manual.
You just have to get this game!

Re: Evergreen Nintendo Releases Hang Tough in the UK as Xenoblade Chronicles X Tumbles Out of Top 40

I am loving Xenoblade X at the moment, it's so much fun to play - just running around and exploring is great and it feels so vast and teeming with life. art design is terrific too.
Huge shame about poor sales, deserves much more attention and isn't really that Niche a game. I have a PS4 but the wii u is always much more fun to play - there is just something special about it.
