So those are the best Neo Geo games huh? For some reason Garou Mark of The Wolves really stands out for me (since I heard its one of the best fighting games ever made) and i hope it comes to the VC soon. I wounder when the other games mentioned will come out? The Neo Geo really needs some of the later titles at the moment.
Only one game i am dying to play on the VC which is on the PEGI/OFLC list which is SM:RPG though i am intrested in Splatterhouse 2 and Chase H.Q.. Glad its turned out to be the Turbographx version.
Would love to try Splatterhouse 2 and i might get Samurai Shodown II sometime when it arrives but i might give it a miss if an antology version is coming.
Glad the Darius games are finally coming, though i haven't heard much about them apart from them been shoot em ups.
Only Super Fantasy Zone intrests me this week but overall this is quite a good week. I might get Cybernoid and Pac- Attack if the reviews get me intrested.
I would love for it to come tomorrow but i won't get too excited as I get the feeling we won't get this "anticipated" game till around September. Besides quite a lot of Nintendo games on the DS and Wii out tomorrow for us Europeans anyway (Brawl, Okami, Ninja Guiden, Final Fantasy etc).
"Who in the blazes wanted "Ice Hockey" or "Baseball" on the NES? "Altered Beast"? "China Warrior"? "Donkey Kong Jr. Math"? Need I go on?"
Dunno probably nostalgia freaks who played the games first time around, though i don't understand why anybody would want to play china warrior or DK Jr again though.
Meh another Neo Geo that fails to hold my intreast. The first World Heroes sounds pritty generic and i have a feeling this will only be slighty enjoyable. Still i had a feeling this would come soon though.
An ok-ish week. Not the best but the likes of Alex Kidd saves this week from been generic. Should have also included Fatal Fury 2 to make up for the last month.
Commodore are really putting up some of the best C64 games up nice one. Good job i held off getting the orginal International Karate. International Karate+ sounds better since more features make the other IK currently redundent.
I knew last weeks releases were too good to be true. Looks like we might be getting VC games every 2 weeks in europe but to make up for it we get double the amount. The fact that 2 not so good Wiiware games are avalable this week is an epic fail though. ):
Completly flawless game. The level design in this game is clever and the music is the best out of all the sonic games due to the likes of Chemical Zone, and Metropolis Zone. The lack of a save feature is kind of annoying however but this is still one of the best Mega Drive games out there.
Late comment but i can't believe you americans complan about the 12th November week as Axelay is one of the best shooters on the SNES. And us europeans are still waiting to get our hands on this game.
Ok i got this on anthology and i can confirm that this is one sweet game. The sequals are probably better but this is still very good fun.
Oh and for those asking i found this easier then Super Probotector since i keep getting stuck on the begining on normal difficulty and on metal slug i can get up to the final level.
I unlocked this in Animal Crossing, then i played it to see what the fuss was about, all i found was a very basic maths game where you get the right numbers by climbing ropes. Got bored after 5 mins playing and never touched this game after that. Who would have thought maths would be so boring?
That my friends is the quality of DK Jr Math. In other words don't bother wasting your 500 Points.
Never mind i bought it on Sonic Gems Collection after learning that the PAL VC version of Vectorman has slower music compared to the NTSC one. And the PAL version on the gems collection also runs at 50hz. Grrgh Sega and Nintendo need to get their act together and give us an option to play 60hz Mega Drive games on the VC.
Sounds cool though i won't be using the updated Nintendo Channal as my Wii is only rarely online.
So you can't use the freeloader any more huh? Good job i sold it with my NTSC copy of Brawl then. Heh i always knew nintendo would wreck the twilight hack someday.
This is a really cool game. Not only is the gameplay with transforming into other forms like a dragon great and with a challenging difficulty that makes the game more worthwhile, but this also has a great soundtrack for each of the levels. Highly Recomended
Sounds really cool (even the way you can set up mappings) but i have no interest as i only have 2 N64 titles on my VC (can you guess which ones lol?) at the mo and most of the other titles that are up i already own on my original N64).
They may not have feel the VC love for Mega Drive, PC-Engine and Neo Geo titles but i can say that their nintendo launch titles are far better then ours (they got Super Metroid, Zelda ALTTP and Super Mario Bros 3). I guess this kinda makes up for the lack of systems on their VC.
Yoshi's Story maybe short and easy but if you are a Yoshi or Mario fan this is still worth the look. For some reason i keep coming back to this game sometimes even though i completed it 2 times already.
Doesn't bother me much the only games that intreast me in SNK’s Arcade Classics Collection are Metal Slug, Samuari Shodown , KOF 94, Fatal Fury Baseball Stars 2 and MAGICIAN LORD. I already have Metal Slug via the antology disc and downloaded Magican Lord from the VC so i'll give it a miss.
Otaku: a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests. (e.g. VC, Nintendo)
Maybe Nintendo of Europe should be thankful that there are people demanding a hard drive add on as this shows a very large amount of £££ and €€€ from tons of VC titles downloaded and even more with WiiWare. But no as normal NOE have to act clever by trying to deny that only a handful of Wii owners want a hard drive.
It least it lets me play catch up on buying more VC games. Would have prefered it if they got some dodgy titles out of the way like Ninja Combat though.
Meh i don't really care if SMRPG costs 900, Nintendo can charge 1200 points for all i care. I won't die happy untill i have that game in my SNES collection and the VC is the perfect place for me.
Grrgh Japan gets Super Mario RPG. Oh and they even get a Transformers game too. I know the NES version is a bit rubbish but i am transformers fan so shoot me.
About time Samurai Shodown came to the VC been rated for ages. Might download it, though the lack of blood is off putting.
By the way the ask nintendo section in ONM if you did write to would probley be a waste of time as they will just say "we have no plans for this right now but its a great idea" etc
Hmm in a strange dilemma i dunno if i should download this or just get the Anthology version. The only reasons i want to download this is that the game has a better control scheme and i kinda prefer playing classic games in my Wii memory over playing them over a disc.
Misinformation from trusted sources i must be in the twilight zone. Good job i only trust you guys when it comes to the latest VC releases and ONM of course.

Re: US VC Release - 7th July - King of the Monsters
There was me predicting Nintendo would bring out 2 Turbographx games this week for you guys. Shame its just an average one game week again.

Re: Chase H.Q.
I am glad its the Turbografx version over the NES version since its more arcade perfect.
Re: Sonic on the Master System coming to Virtual Console?
Its very unlikely to be a Xbox-360 conversion of Sonic The Hedgehog since there is a new Sonic game coming out for the Wii known as Sonic Unleashed.
So it's likley to be the master system version then.
Re: Drake's Ratings Roundup - June 2008

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Yeah i heard theres cheats for level select but i would rather beat the game without cheating though.

Re: Super Mario RPG Released in Japan Today
Lucky them i hope we get SMRPG within 2 months. Its one of those games i really want on the VC.
Re: Neo Turf Masters
Might give this a download if this gets a good score. The visuals look like they were very impressive when it was first released.
Re: Last Ninja 3
When this comes out i am gonna download this along with the other two that are currently up on the VC.
Re: World Heroes 2
Meh another Neo Geo that fails to hold my intreast. The first World Heroes sounds pritty generic and i have a feeling this will only be slighty enjoyable. Still i had a feeling this would come soon though.
Re: Burning Fight
I doubt i will be playing this game soon. I saw a video on youtube and the music is pritty average and i don't think the gameplay is any better.
Re: US VC Releases - 23rd June - Alex Kidd in Miracle World
An ok-ish week. Not the best but the likes of Alex Kidd saves this week from been generic. Should have also included Fatal Fury 2 to make up for the last month.

Re: ESRB To Crack Down On Early Leaks Of Games
I hope the OLFC and PEGI don't follow suit since they are the perfect way for us europeans to know which games are coming to the UK VC.
Finding out which games are coming soon to the VC is only for 'geeks and otaku' anyways lol.
Re: EU VC Releases - 20th June - Epic Fail
I knew last weeks releases were too good to be true. Looks like we might be getting VC games every 2 weeks in europe but to make up for it we get double the amount. The fact that 2 not so good Wiiware games are avalable this week is an epic fail though. ):

Re: US VC Release - 16th June - Samurai Shodown
I said it once and i'll say it again Samurai Shodown is a good game well worth the 900 Points. Shame its another 1 game week again.
And yes when are you guys getting Vectorman? We had it since April 2007. Besides you guys have Axelay and Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels.
Re: Nintendo Channel Gets An Update
Sounds cool though i won't be using the updated Nintendo Channal as my Wii is only rarely online.

Re: EU VC Releases - 13th June - The Last Ninja 2, Alex Kidd and more!
Just OMG my predictions were true i knew Alex Kidd would come this week but The Last Ninja 2 and 3 other games this week? I must be in VC heaven.
Re: Splatterhouse
Ah ok cheers i thought the gore in the PC:E and TG-16 versions had cut down in gore.
Re: Only Geeks And Otaku Want Extra Storage On The Wii

Re: Hands-On With Eternity's Child
So that means we should be getting it sometime in summer nice. Looks really good, and this is my most wanted WiiWare game yet.
Re: US VC Releases - 9th June - NES Import Duo
Nice suprise. Finally you americans are getting proper games that you were lacking for ages.
Re: EU - 6th June - No Virtual Console Games!
It least it lets me play catch up on buying more VC games. Would have prefered it if they got some dodgy titles out of the way like Ninja Combat though.
Re: US VC Release - 2nd June - Ninja Combat
If you want a game that will take loads of your time away try
R-Type. The hardest game on the VC.
Re: US VC Release - 2nd June - Ninja Combat
Another bad VC week the US. There was me thinking you guys would get Samurai Shodown since you guys are long over due.
Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - June 2008 (Super Mario RPG!)
Meh i don't really care if SMRPG costs 900, Nintendo can charge 1200 points for all i care. I won't die happy untill i have that game in my SNES collection and the VC is the perfect place for me.
Bass X0 nice one posting that TF VC news
Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - June 2008 (Super Mario RPG!)
? Fusion Cannon i supose
Re: Japanese Virtual Console list - June 2008 (Super Mario RPG!)
Grrgh Japan gets Super Mario RPG. Oh and they even get a Transformers game too. I know the NES version is a bit rubbish but i am transformers fan so shoot me.

Re: MSX Hits Japanese VC, Includes Special Options
Would love it if the european VC also got some MSX love, though i doubt it since we just got C64. Ah well
Re: Metal Slug
Hmm in a strange dilemma i dunno if i should download this or just get the Anthology version. The only reasons i want to download this is that the game has a better control scheme and i kinda prefer playing classic games in my Wii memory over playing them over a disc.

Re: EU VC Release - 23rd May - Paradroid
Only one game again but meh since its good i won't rant besides we are the only ones to get a VC release the same week as WiiWare launch.
Shame this weeks releases isn't from another game liberay since i feel bad for you australians. ):
Re: Moto Roader
ONM said this is one of the worst games you could download from the VC.
